Homeless in Cape Town
South Africa
Приєднався 28 гру 2023
This channel was created to produce a mouthpiece for the more than 14 000 homeless people in the greater Cape Town area. Conversations are had with these often unheard from members of our society as we seek to understand how their situations have become so that they are living on the streets. This is a labour of love that attempts to expose certain systemic issues our society is plagued with and in turn finds answers from listening to others' stories about how to overcome them.

WONGA IS LITERALLY ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS!! THIS MAN IS THEEE SWEEETEST!!! WE SEE EACH OTHER EVERY SINGLE DAY, I ACTUALLY GET SCARED WHEN I DON"T SEE HIM!
What a beautiful lady please Lord send someone to help her
Hi can the person from the farm in the karoo please phone me. I don't have your number.
I dont know her personally but i have always seen her and her boyfriend roam around in Observatory, they are always together, yes they ask for food and money but they are very kind, She is very kind.. She will go out of her to greet me and my son... Please do help her, they deserve a better life..
Capsule hotels like in Japan would be a good idea
Are drugs involved? If they have good health why cant they do a honest day's job? Clean themselves up. . and even try to do gardening or cleaning jobs. They are lazy . Chose that lifestyle... Want hand outs ..always playing the victim...and cause unbearable heartache to their immediate families. There are courses offered for free... Even getting a stipend. Its akways someone else's fault for where they are in life. If i look at some elderly people who had no education yet raised up their children and supported and provided for the homes and families and compare THIS to them i say. f....k . Them

Can we crowdfund this man as he would do so well in education as he has an outstanding personality very genuine and gentle
We have started crowdfunding campaigns in the past. People just don't donate, plus these people are migrants. Mohammed is long gone from this spot that we interviewed him at.
This man has so much potential and he has good vision really nice person I pray he gets a break
Hi,,,, I watch all or most of your vids,, amazing job you guys do👌 Can't u help me to get back or go back to Cape Town, northern suburbs please I'm staying with my sister in Klerksdorp and I'm getting depressed here
Don't believe everything they say. Most where problematic at home. I know alot personally families kicked them out because they steal at home etc.
You don't know her
@AslamAmanah I don't know her personally but you must ask the family what really happened. People like to play with sympathy.
You have no right to look at someone's past and judge them. If she was wrong, realized it, and tried to fix her mistakes, who are you to judge? Everyone deserves a second chance, just like God gives us second chances.
@wineshiacarolann919 I'm not judging what I'm saying don't believe everything.
Can the creator reach out to me i know her family and I think they would like to see her maybe
You can email me at: homelessincapetown@yahoo.com
So what is the DA doing about it?
Why dont you take her home
Who runs the country or try to run it? What's the DA got to do with it Same with NAZI Germany in 1940
@@maxpyn8120you need to get a life
That's people for you! They like you when you have things.
South Africa does not seem to have assertive outreach support for these people who struggle to survive in SA. It so difficult on the streets of SA. Very tough walking in the sun all day. It’s tragic and policy makers need a more strategic approach to open up shelters on a large scale, this woman is humble and kind person and needs support to get help off the streets
Is Colin, the old white man still alive and living on the streets of Obz? There is quite a story there.
Haven't seen an old white man around in a while. Where does he normally sit/sleep?
May God bless him
There is very serious Discrimination against AFRIKAANS people in south afrca!!!
What you mean ? I'm also colored Afrikaans speaking And I don't allow other people to intermediate me Whether status, colour etc We are all the same Just some people money, status think they better than others Education is power
@faikawilliams8694 Afrikaans tjoma, wit swart coloured Afrikaaners Intimidate of intermediate?
It's sad and a reality people do fall on hard times and circumstances force them to the streets but what pissed me off is that the world sucks up the shenanigans of the religion of peace but this lady who can be helped are discarded
Why doesn't SPAR give her a job instead of a pie ? Why does SPAR (in general) employ (illegal) foreigners who can't speak english properly instead of this local educated person ... where are the priorities ???
Miss South Africa ❤
Right?!? So pretty 🌈
She reminds me of Frida Khalo the Mexican artist in the way she looks. I think she is very attractive and if dental work is done and she is dressed in any outfit , be it simple or glamorous she will look absolutely beautiful. I wish her well.
Saadiqah is really beautiful yes. She also has quite a youthful and pure energy ✨️
@@HomelessinCapeTown-tg5fdI know her family quite well.im not sure whether she knows her grandma in manenburg passed away almost 3 months ago I think it's the choice in life we make I believe the family will assist She probably will have to meet them halfway May God grant her guidance Ameen
WCED has space for her!!! They must stop cutting due to “budget” and employ more people.
Consider Riebeeck West Humanitas. She might be able to keep her dog
Please keep us updated on Lara's life. She is such an inspiration
This is disgusting. It infuriates me. These poor people! They get abused in a place that is supposed to be safe 💔💔💔💔
This government is corrupt 💔💔💔💔
i know this sounds cold, but if someone can give her a phone and internet, a simple u tube channel in her refreshing honest way she could most likely get a lot of fans and get an income. she lovely and her communications skills are great, articulate and engaging visually, lovely eyes. i love her being faithfull to her area. PS the interviewer is brilliant.
Reality check.. when you are forthright and the truth is spoken, then you have an attitude!!
I suspect most of us are just a few salary cheques away of being in this woman's position. I trust someone with the right connections will find her gainful employment. 🎉
Surely she has family? Someone? Friends? No job, no money saved?
I pray this woman somehow gets to a point where she gets to a better situation for herself where she can be so successful that she can help others. She has been spot on, on whats happening on the streets and how to help..
I feel like crying!!!! how such educated people land up on the streets. Dear lord Jesus I pray someone can help this lady send your holy spirit works through others to help this beautiful soul..
Thanks for your amazing work, I am now a subscriber. To those supporting some devious evangelist or self-made pastor, open your eyes and stop paying your hard earned money to those wolves.
Can someone help this lady please, Surely someone can give her a job.
Who hosts these interviews? I'd love to speak to you. I have often wanted to approach homeless people and find out what lead them to being where they are. I am a teacher. One of the subjects I teach is LO
Hi there you can mail me here: homelessincapetown@yahoo.com
Wow, wow, wow... no help for this lady, who is clearly not short of grey matter and has a desire to do something productive? Shameful!!!
God bless you Sir! Amen!
So so sad! She lives for her dog!
Just breaks my heart! Please someone have a heart, God will reward you ! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Disgusting that they are stealing the donations for the homeless’s clothing and food. That is sick!
This lady would be a good worker, someone needs to give her job. If anyone has a room and a bathroom please help her.
Social development is one of the biggest things the South African Government needs to address as a matter of urgency. This has been going on for decades and has to be looked at.
This lady deserves a better life...i pray it happens.
Don't tell me Cape Town councillors can't give this women a bachelor flat And help her get back on her feet. So many like her. And then they still have the cheek to chase these people from the street. What a disgrace that so many people are on the street. The municipality and churches need to wake up and do something.. Dear God, we ask for your intervention. Let there be someone from all the churches that has the brain to organise rooms or bachelor flats for these poor women.
I'm a digital artist also, my biggest fear is ending up on the streets and getting robbed and beaten up by someone when I'm there. I'm a very reserved person, and I get upset quickly. I don't like the streets.
God is going to make a way for her( 1 Corinthians 20:23. I like that she trust God and has given her life to Jesus. ❤❤
Deon, my hart huil vir jou. Ek kan nie finansieel help nie maar ek sal vir jou intree by ons Hemelse Vader.
