i have visions of this beautiful lady taking charge of rehabilitation programs that will save many lives in cape town. She speaks so fluently and passionately about subjects only she and others whom have been through similar circumstances can address. i hope to see her soon so i can bless her and thank her for her power. she i quite literally superhuman to have this level of clarity and focus while living on the street.
I pray this woman somehow gets to a point where she gets to a better situation for herself where she can be so successful that she can help others. She has been spot on, on whats happening on the streets and how to help..
Only onwards and upwards to you Karen, your attitude will determine your altitude and your attitude is beautiful, just keep building on this, you are valuable to society. I will most definitely buy your book.
World wide problem mental health. Its so sadly neglected by everyone and they are very hard to live with. Thank you for your input. There are also not enough mental health staff and health budget gets cut back every year. Corruption and stealing by our government has been the biggest factor that has landed our beloved country in this mess and it is still going on. It all starts with us to each doing something. Step up everyone and do what you can. We have lost our huma ity for our fellow human beings. Report dishonest report crime and report everything that feels wrong.
This lady is now steering her ship in the right direction. Stikland Hospital has lots of land available to build places for vulnerable people in need as this lady is suggesting.
I listen to you Karen and I have shared your videos to many social platforms I wish you best you said your kids are abroad you should allow them to help you
like i said on the first video this lady could have gone through these things for a reason after seeing this side of life see knows and understands the needs of the poor ... hope she can help make a change after she is helped
There must be ground somewhere that the government own and they could start something like a kibbutz in Israel. Put the homeless on the ground, have people there who will teach them to grow their own vegetables, have chickens for eggs, etc. and I am sure there are organizations who would be prepared to start this if they could just get the ground from the government. Just a suggestion.
So often if people who ARE stable enough, and are given secure accommodation WITH responsibilities - making vegetable gardens and chicken coops etc ..... these folk have the POTENTIAL to thrive. Corruption, drugs and common social evils have no place in these facilities. Strict but FAIR and HUMANE governance of such facilities will be required - great WISDOM, not a political agenda.
Karen jy is 'n inspirasie vir so baie mense. God wees met jou.

You cannot force someone to take assistance. Giving an unstable person a house does not work. A clinic will end up like a haven it will be habded to an NGO to manage and it will gi down the tubes. This is sadly what people dont appreciate you want help but you want your right to make your choice. Helping takes money and at the end of the day the person needing help needs to make the choice they want it and there will be no turn around. You are the keeper and have the constitutional right to the choices you made and make take ownership of your choices. Take action make astatement at the police and if they dont have the statements on dealers there is little that can be done.
@winner7282 brought upon us from a choice. Worked in the struggles know the struggles but you cannot force someone to into a home or a safe space they decide when they want to be there. So you can hand out, give, think you are doing them a favour and helping but you will keep them down their own rabbit hole. A helping hand is ine who walks along side not one wo gives.
Privileged people have paid for their privileges because they made sound choices. People need to take onwnership of the choices they make and a helping hand is one thing bur a handout teaches nothing.
I know nothing about that lady’s circumstances; but what I DO know is that MANY people are one paycheck away from homelessness. A haughty attitude goes before a fall.

My own mother was homeless in Sea Point.
I finally placed her in shelters-she lost all will to live in these shelter homes.

Wonderful news. Thank you. All.
I am so relieved that she is still alive. Please have regular check ins with her. She is in danger. This way no-one can get rid of her.
This lady needs to have a sit down with the Mayor. Some one needs to listen to her.
He won't sit down with anyone about this situation. The entire community of Somerset West have BEGGED.
This case is for the Mayor of Cape Town!!!

This lady would be a good worker, someone needs to give her job. If anyone has a room and a bathroom please help her.
God is going to make a way for her( 1 Corinthians 20:23. I like that she trust God and has given her life to Jesus. ❤❤

Wow, wow, wow... no help for this lady, who is clearly not short of grey matter and has a desire to do something productive? Shameful!!!

How does one get in contact with her?

Fun Fact: Byron Rhoda 180 ollied over the railing that was on the left of this stair set that this woman is sitting on.
I'm sure the skaters appreciate that comment 😉
SHE MUST JUST BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HARTEBEESPOORT.
What is in Hartebeespoort?

Spoken like someone who has no idea of the struggles these homeless, addicted people suffer. There, but by the Grace of God go I. 😢
