I have just recently found you and I enjoy turning to your channel on while I putter around the house. Today, I listened about Satan and the Logan Temple. This is where my husband and I were sealed 35 years ago. Your story hold true still today! As a young married couple, we would make plans for the temple but if we used the word 'temple,' our plans would be derailed almost as fast as we mentioned the word! We used to invite each other to have 'white food' for dinner, meaning we would do a session and eat in the cafeteria. Now, since the cafeteria is closed, we say we would like to go to the 'castle' or the 'house on the hill.' When I mention this to friends, they react the same way! It is VERY common for people in Cache Valley to have code words for temple attendance. Appointments do seems to alleviate some, but not all, of the difficulties getting to the temple. This story explains so much!!! Thank you for sharing!❤️

More time well spent listening to you! Those young men learned a great truth -- that the stories we are told from the scriptures are not just "stories" but are demonstrations of truth in action. My own challenge as a young man was not a war, but quite a battle nonetheless. I accepted the gospel message from the missionaries immediately, but my Dad was very opposed to the church and forbid me to get baptised. It would be three years before that could happen. In the meantime I kept going to church until the day when my football coach laid down the law. Those who did not attend practices on Sundays could not stay on the team. When Sunday came around I thought long and hard and finally rationalised that as I had not been baptised I could still go to football practice. I was a bit disconcerted when I woke up on Sunday morning and saw that Mum had left a freshly-ironed white shirt hanging on my bedroom doorknob. I tried not to look as it as I packed my gear and went off to football. Mum never said a word, but the next Sunday there was another white shirt hanging there. It was the same the following week and then the next. Finally, I put on the shirt and went to church. In time I was baptised and became a "real" member, but by then I had realised that even though I had not been baptised I was a member in spirit. That was 70 years ago, but I have never forgotten Mum's wordless sermon. Oh, and by the way, I made the team anyway! Cheers from New Zealand.

I’m an Australian convert to the church and worked in the Sydney, Australia Temple between 2002 til 2015, another Temple worker I worked with David Fairbrass served in Royal Marines Commando of,the,Royal Navy before migrating to Australia he took part in the Normandy landings, when he joined the Royal Marines he was told if he lived the Law of chastity and the word of wisdom not a hair of his head would be touched and he would survive the war unscathed,he an d a section of commandos scaled a cliff to knock out artillery bunkers and were ambushed every other members of his assault team were killed, he told me he could see tracer bullets from light machine guns passing through his body and he escaped an d served the rest of the war in heavy fighting because that’s what Royal Marines Commandos did, he was an amazing man we hit it off and used to stir each other because I was an ex Royal Australian Navy sailor and Vietnam Veteran, David loved the Lord, I moved from,Sydney in 2015 to Brisbane and became a Temple Worker in the Brisbane Australia Temple until 2020, also recently saw a UA-cam article on the Utah national Guard mobile artillery battery that survived the Korean War they were also modern stripling warriors whom the Chinese soldiers said we shoot them and our bullets passed through them but they didn’t fall down, I guess if you put in modern stripling warriors of the Korean War it should come up, I enjoy your video’s thank you mate.

This is a splendid extension of the story that has details I never heard before. Simply amazing.

We need more inspirational stories? I don’t think I’ve ever heard you say that, and I’ve watched practically all of your videos! I prayed tonight that if the Lord willed it, I would make a UA-cam channel dedicated to miraculous events I have recorded down in my life. Thanks. I had never heard this amazing story. I love hearing these types of things! It reminds me of a similar story I recently hear about young men from St. George area during the Korean war. It was just made into a short documentary. President Holland and President Oaks both did some research that was used in the documentary.

This year my dad died and exactly one month later of waiting to do his work, my husband as proxy, was able to start doing his temple word. The month mark fell on the weekend of Father’s Day which felt very special to me to do this for him. Especially the way that he had tragically died, without feeling hope because I was now bringing him hope. 22 years ago I had become a member by myself as a teenager and I was honored to do this for him. He had a tricky family situation and I was confused as to who I should seal him to-which parents. He had been raised by his grandparents and called his grandpa either grandad or dad. They were very very close. On top of this, he had never known his real father, never been acknowledged by him. To this day I don’t even know what this man looks like but through a dna test I know we are related. My dad had told me that when he had heard his biological father had died he said he’d never attend his funeral because he had a chip on his shoulder about never being acknowledged by him. What made it worse was my dad had grown up in a small town and had gone to school with “cousins” that he never closely interacted with or said anything probably bc they didn’t know. The closer I got to my appointment time to seal my dad to his parents, the more I felt unsettled about sealing him to his biological bc I felt like he’d rather be sealed to his grandparents. He wasn’t very close to his mother either. It was recommended to me that his “grandparents” be labeled as adoptive and that I could seal him to both sets of parents and let him choose. During the sealing ordinance, I was more focused on valuing my dad being sealed to his grandparents but when the sealer spoke the name of my dad’s biological father I suddenly felt something. Something that I wasn’t looking for or expecting, something that had interrupted my present thoughts/feelings. I felt emotion that my dad was finally being acknowledged but it wasn’t emotion coming from myself, it was someone feeling emotional. Someone that I couldn’t see but was present. It was like my dad’s biological father was present with my dad and he was finally being acknowledge by his father. It was an impression I felt that did not come from my own feelings and something I was not expecting at all to happen but was real. I’m so grateful for that sweet experience.

**(16-37) Isaiah 45:23. What Does It Mean to Say “Every Knee Shall Bow, Every Tongue Swear”? ** President Joseph Fielding Smith said: “I want to call attention to something that is stated frequently in the scriptures, and I think very often misunderstood, and that is the statement that, ‘every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess.’ [Isaiah 45:23; Romans 14:10-11; Philippians 2:9-11; D&C 76:110; 88:104] I wonder how many of us have an idea that if a knee bows and a tongue confesses, that is a sign of forgiveness of sin and freedom from sin, and that the candidate is prepared for exaltation? If you do, you make a mistake. It does not mean that at all. “The time will come when ‘every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess,’ and yet the vast majority of mankind will go into the telestial kingdom eternally.** Let me read these verses: ‘The time shall come when all shall see the salvation of the Lord; when every nation, kindred, tongue, and people shall see eye to eye and shall confess before God that his judgments are just.’ [Mosiah 16:1-4.] "It is a wonderful thing when men reach the stage when they will be willing to confess that the judgments against them are just, and they will bow the knee and will understand ‘eye to eye.’” (Doctrines of Salvation, 2:30.) Isaiah’s intent was to assure all the world, both the wicked and the righteous, that Jesus Christ is the God of Israel and that one day all will be constrained to recognize that fact, whether or not they are or have been His disciples. Old Testament Student Manual It will still be a great work but those that forfeit or reject these ordinances will simply not have them done.

Sadly, There will be many people that will not be eligible to go to the celestial kingdom and so will not require any of the ordinances, therefore the number of ordinances needed to be performed will not be as great as we think.

I've always wondered if the spirits were actually there when their work is done, and recently I found a statement by Melvin J Ballard who verified that they are, indeed, there watching. The story you told about the sister doing the baptisms also verifies it. Thank you, Brother Merrill for this very uplifting video.

What an inspiring story. I love stories like this. They bolster my faith and make me a better person. I, too, was spared from death by a priesthood blessing so I learned at a very young age the power of the priesthood, Thank you for sharing this and thank you to all those involved for allowing their story to be heard.

Wow déjà vu. Did you tell the story quite a few years back?

I went to the temple quite tired one night, yet I had a warm feeling with me. We make affirmations in the temple, and each time I acknowledged it, my heart got more excited. I wanted to shout! When I got to the veil, I was crying so hard it was difficult to respond. When I stepped through the veil, I told the veil worker, "She is here!!" He answered, "I know"❤

Wife & I just got back from KC Temple. The schedule is booked solid since the change. We go often & many of the workers know who we are. We go prepared & now with the shorter sessions, we're able to get into sealings as they are often short men. When I'm there we can often do sons. Today we needed a sealer to help despite them having no openings on the schedule. Still a sacred, holy experience. It brings us so much peace and happiness in our senior years. The visions we enjoy are indescribable. The blessings are real!

at 2:10, Mormons will have to perform 1 trillion baptisms for the dead! Wow!!! you guys are gonna be busy with a lot of "works"! I think that the LDS church likes to keep its members busy so that they don't have time to investigate all of the problems and lies within the church! Just a though!
