Im new to him but coming from kazuya, he feels kinda ehh. His pokes are decent but so far I havent found oki potential that matches kazuya. Which is fine I understand each Mishima is suppose to be different but it going to take time to readjust, got to find all his combo routes off ch. I also havent really used Warrior state just seems like it adds an extra hit that you have to block to some of his moves.

i don't think legacy heihachi players will play this guy because his 1,1 df1 and f4 got highly nerfed, he lost his distinctive overwhelming frame tight pressure

I remember watching something similar years ago for Tag2 here on youtube.

I always liked the fact that Tekken had no gimmicky mechanics such as power ups, installs, bars, no armor and no super attacks. Just my toolkit vs your toolkit. T7 introduced power crushes and rage arts and T8 added heat, tokens, installs and more. Average character in T8 has over 100 moves, do we really need additional gimmicks and individual mechanics for each character? The game is already INSANELY knowledge checky, now I have to remember that I can't punish Hei's hellsweep when he's in lvl3. Oh, and I can't use moves that are -13 because his df2,1 will launch me for a full combo punish. This game is already insanely bloated and it's still season 1!

Ik you are cracked but if you do this challenge in the middle east or asian server, i think Jun will be the only character at your highest rank. Im not saying you are bad but from what i saw on EU ranked, people are extremely terrible at the game and i think it is because alot of people play tekken in EU which makes ranking up easier compared to other regions. Also i see you make crazy streaks on the highest rank with Jun which will never happen in the other regions.

Split on this. Heihachi was one of my mains for a long time, and I love stance based characters.... but it's not in his identity to play like this. That's one of the biggest problems with T8, is that it doesn't really care about the established identity of the characters. The more we see, the more it feels like this was a guiding principle for Tekken 8's design. Eddy is basically a new character. Jin takes almost no execution. Xiaoyu is a powerhouse. Etc. There is almost no character you can think of that has the same identity in playstyle. Bryan? Lee? Steve? Is that it? Everyone else has some amount of reimagining that was done to them.

I think everyone needs to refine their criticism, 50/50 is a bad way to define the criticism. The game is always a 50/50. The problem is unearned 50/50 from safe advancing mids. You should get a “50/50” (doing a mid or a low in the most basic terms) only after you win neutral

Heat, chip, the 50/50s, installs (wtf are installs), rage the stage gimmicks, the wall spikes, the nerfed kbd, the convoluted throw system (shoukd have kept regular tag breaks 1,2, 1+2 then there wouldnt be an issue with turtles in tekken 7) There's just too much too soon imo all added in one game. Something you said really resonates with me 'it doesn't feel like tekken anymore'.

The stances are a little annoying, but hell he looks cool af. I might buy him just so i don’t get cheesed by him too much. Eddy and Lidia idc much.

I hear you man. It's a struggle to play nowadays, and because I play less, I'm starting to win less - vicious cycle. Too many characters have too many win buttons now.

Arslan is one of the best players in the world. But, the tierlist he made, I think is BS, for me.

Different form of cheating you cant download scripts for example so no auto block or parring the wd hes doing if i were to guess is a prerecorded action set to his trigger so all he needs to do is press and you can also macro performing more then one action simultaneously on a single button binding d and f to a button to get a perfect df for example hope this helps

The way I look at it - Heihachi was or was always meant to be the most oppressive Mishima, and this iteration of Heihachi is staying true to his legacy. One of his core oppressive moves was a df1 with -1 on block, and they took it away from him in favor of stance. That's an interesting change, and not a black to white deviation like you make it seem be. Videos like these are unnecessarily too early. DVJ was demolished because of early and very opinionated videos like this, and I simply fear to see this happen again.

I've been a Heihachi player since T3, and I'm honestly really happy with his T8 version so far. Although, I must admit, I don't want him to be an S tier, I want him to be A or B.
