I like minmaxing, I've got all focus on Austria myself. I've had some strategies to get a mega Germany quickly. The strategies are mostly outdated now, but I've managed to push Prussia out of being an candidate by rushing a war with Russia. Taking brunswick and releasing westphalia and pommerania (and humiliation). Before i've had to take silesia, but i've managed to achieve it without taking it. Then there are some variables to improve relations with Prussia, but when it is achieved, I usually manage to form Germany before "liberating" Holstein. So the smaller states get united with Germany afterwards. The real issue is then to have vassalized Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and most of Italy. So you can form HRE as quickly as possible. I've formed HRE really quick in previous patches, the changes in vassals made it much tougher lately. But I'm starting to see a roadmap with getting embassies with the first power bloc, vassalize everyone for free with the second power bloc, and then possibly use religious powerbloc to quickly decrease liberty desire to make the "form HRE" quicker with "all members" annexed. Sorry for rambling, I no longer have the free time to try my strategies so i would love if someone would pick em up and possibly improve upon it.

If you can get investment rights with Austria, you can optimize a bit more. Adding a building in their country resets the 7% roll, so you can just add a building on November 12th, save and see if they accept, reload and repeat if they don't. It's super tedious and I wouldn't do it myself, but it is an option.
