im new to vicky 3, played about 200 hours on 1.7. Played one game for about 50 hours on 1.8. Migration has changed i think an appropriate amount, and a lot. It was silly in 1.7 and i came into 1.8 looking for the same amount and it aint happening like it was.

It's kind of annoying how much fun every other aspect of victoria 3 tends to be when everything revolving around war is so horrendously dogshit. Nearly every 'tactic' in player hands is some form of cheese or exploit that is both annoying to do and so horrendoulsy unnimersive that it immediately takes me out of the game and reminds me that this is a badly simulated excel spreadsheet; Naval invasions needing weeks to drop troops into *undefended* territory (allowing enemies to transport troops back in, happened to me as germany vs UK), frontlines breaking and splitting in the most retarded ways possible and instantly fucking up an entire war, trying to navally invade the suez area demanding you to go from the red sea instead of the mediterranean, and the subsequent frontline being split in two directions, making you instantly lose it as one side is entirely undefended by your apparently oblivious invasion force, being pushed away by a garisson of 1k men, not being able to change war goals mid-war despite shit like war goals dissapearing out of your control...
