I love your reading of this, the parellels you drew, especially with Tolkien's work, are great. When reading it, I noticed that one of the Wonder Warriors is named Finarkin, too similar to Finarfin, Galadriel's father, to be a coincidence in my opinion. I would have loved to learn whether Jack Kirby read JRR Tolkien and what he thought of it, I imagine it would be right down his alley. Captain Victory deserves more attention, a nice collection would be good too. Did you ever read the new series put out by Dynamite? Thank you always for the great videos.

I love Donald Sutherland as a actor. But don't know too much about him as a person. Sill Kiefer seemed to turn out pretty well :) RIP Donald Sutherland and thanks for all making the world a better place to be.

Whenever I think of Donald Sutherland I think of being at my grandparents house watching The Dirty Dozen on a vhs tape that my grandfather recorded off of tv from like turner classic movies or tbs. Donald Sutherland is one of those timeless actors who's been with us forever (like Christopher Lee) where he's been in the game so long you can have a whole family think about him and whole different eras of movies come to mind. Like, my great uncle loved him in MASH and Kelly's Heroes, my dad thinks of him from Animal House and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I first saw him when my older cousin showed me the original Christy Swanson Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie and he played Buffy's Watcher. But my younger sister knows him as the evil President Snow in The Hunger Games movies.

‘Don’t Look Now’ is a heartbreaker at the start, beautifully shot and a great location in Venice. Not a traditional horror.

It's worth it to watch Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1978. Donald is the lead actor and the action unfolds from his viewpoint. Has great early work from Jeff Goldblum.Leonard Nimoy is in it but he doesn't play a Spock character.

I got the Phantom Menace pre-release teaser toy 'Battle Droid on STAP', and this Qui-Gon figure, before I saw the film... Didn't buy any after!

I have that Qui-Gon figure still, I just saw it in an old box the other day. Mine is well played with though. I remember getting it for my birthday ... those Comm Tech chips were funny, they used the same technology as those Hit Clips toys that were "big" back then. I'm pretty sure the reader was the same design as the device Qui-Gon used to test the midichlorians in the movie! 🤣

its an odd comic because they don't just take the common figures and make them the leads. Space Glider (Arcturus Rann) was common and so was Time Traveler but Microtron and Biotron were pricier. their vehicle from the mego figures is used in the comic. Bug and Marionette are Marvel originals. and the Aliens get a bravura appearance- right when these figures were on the shelf in Toys r us. it's a treat for collectors of this line with beautiful art across both series. and their brains really glow in the dark!

Absolutely right! I was a kid in the 70s and this toy RULED (along with Micronauts and Shogun Warriors). I love how you guys refer to it as "He", like Evel's soul exists within it, like freaking Chucky,. 😅

Me and my father loved that Evel Knievel cycle. It was tough, took so many hard hits, kept going.

Dudes! The Team America Super Stunt Dirtbike, also by Ideal, that came out about 5 years later improved on the Evil Knieval Stunt Cycle in every way. It had better shocks, knobby tires, and a better launcher. Even better was the Team America Marauder, which was an all black chopper version. I had all three, and The Marauder was the best. I always wanted a Megaforce version.
