When I’m at home I use the FG knot the night before I’m going fishing. In the field I use the Alberto knot never had any problems with either. Obviously the FG done properly is considerably stronger but for what I do the Alberto works just fine 95% of the time.
Hey John ended up getting Renegade Sunglasses by Ike. The spiderwire were a little tight not made for us people larger heads. The good thing they were in sames lens color and same price range from Walmart.
At the factory they just salp the label on most time does not matter if it top or bottom. If you reel turns clockwise make sure the line comes off cuonter clockwise that way you don't increase the twist in the line. Braid it want be that noticeable but with fluorocarbon it will be.
Another good video, I've seen video's that Instruct that the braid needs more wraps than floro or mono. It would be nice if line makers would put markers every 50 or 100 yards in their line. Braid should be easy to do.
I'm glad you did this video, I've wondered what would be the best line to use, but I believe I've found what will work for me, I'm subscribed to jordan lee fishing & he talked about berkley braid & they have come out with a 5 or 8 strand & he uses 6lb braid with 10 to 12 lb fluorocarbon, I'm using 6 lb for crappie I tried it today & it worked great even in the wind, I was using the micro zman tickler & caught a small LG mouth, the double uni-knot is the best knot I've tried, also I'm trying the new seagar basix fluorocarbon & so far its been great, only cost 10$! Hope you do great on your tournament, I really like those you film, you are the only person I know that uses the pink & lemon yum dinger, I'm sure there are others though!
One day last year I used up the last of my leader and tied directly to my braid. Lo and behold I still catch fish the exact same. No more leader for me...
My brother really enjoys watching your videos. When I asked him what he’d like for Christmas, he sent a screenshot from this specific video and said he’d like a sunfish print like the one hanging on your wall. Do you possibly remember where you bought it? Thank you!
gonna take back a shimano miravel 2500 wed. to bass pro in bristol . it's not a smooth reel compared to my diawas . i think i'm gonna replace it with either a nacsi FC or a fuego lt . i'm gonna let them put a few dozen yards of 12 lb. mono and finish it up with 8X grand 10 or 15 lb and use a few feet of stren mono leader . thanks for the tips and take care , jeff
Daiwa is king 👑 go with the fuego or depending on your budget the new regal or legalis are excellent budget reels. If you want to spend more get a tatula MQ LT. That’s what I started with now I only fish certates for saltwater and I have my exist for freshwater stuff. Cheers 🍻
@@Daiwa_Is_King i got a 2024 fuego lt and took it right back to bass pro . got two of the fuego lt (like the one o got 2 years ago) on clearance for the same price as a new fuego lt and im VERY happy with them !!!! thanks and take care dude

Very informative and big fan of braided line up to 15# as well. Solid knot choice
Great job John, very interesting. God bless you and your whole family....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
Very informative video 📹 👍 Jon!!!
The knots I posted are easy to tie.
Thank you for the tips. Always love your fishing videos.

there are a few braids that change color every so many meters. Search "Metered Fishing line".
When I spool on braid, I pull it off the top or bottom of the spool. Wind knots basically disappeared.
Very simple yet informative! Great job!

PS , put your spool in a empty cereal box and hold it between your feet if you don't want it rolling everywhere
