Astral rassler’s are the best I’ve used…they are kayaking shoes, but they are all I need waders or not…only complaint is the drain holes in the front, can along some sand in…but they grip phenomenally.
Thanks for showing me things I never knew existed. Teva sandals have been my kayak/canoe warm weather go to for 40yrs. Also use Merrill Moab hikers (w/Vibrium sole) for when I need more protection, they hold up well. Otherwise I'm in waders.
Really liking my boundary boots , they are a lightweight boot option that feels like a shoe in the yak! Definitely not a pure wading boot but excellent at launch and getting out for occasional portage or dragging a shallow riffle. Been looking at the Columbia’s to add to the arsenal.
reminds me to go get my water boots out of my truck bed from last creek trip. They are Merrell Moab low tops. Work well in North Texas limestone/gravel creeks.
Thanks for the video. I have been using old running shoes, Under Armour Men's Micro G Kilchis Sneaker and Merrell Men's Hydro Moc Drift Clog which have worked well for me.
I need a new pair! I've been using an old pair of Chota felt soles that are more of an open toed sandal. They are great for warmer weather, and have held up for probably 20 years! They don't make them like they used too. But yeah good under water wading shoes are hard to find, thanks for the tips. I'll probably look for another pair of Chotas....FishOn....Jim
This was a good video man . I have a question ? You said that you're a sz15 & i am a sz15 too . Do you have wide feet 🦶 & were do you by your shoes at . I have big & very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe . I can only wear flip flops 🩴 which barely & I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps . I have to kayak 🛶 , drive my car 🚗 , pickup 🛻 , & truck 🚛 barefooted 👣 because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are . Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video buddy . P.S. What are people saying about your Hey Dudes shoes?
@morecreekfishingadventures O OK man you are so lucky man that you don't have wide feet 🦶 man & can wear regular size 15 shoes & socks . It's very very hard to find a sz15 in the store especially like wal Mart were they only go up to sz13 . Walmart doesn't think about people that are a sz 14 , 15 , 16 , 17 & the fax that my foot is very very extremely wide at 6 " inches now because I have loss some weight was 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across i can't even wear shoes or socks or boots or anything close toes footwear because of that so I can only wear flip flops 🩴 which barely & I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps . I sometimes have to end my kayaking 🛶 season over depending on the weather temperature because I can't wear any close toes footwear . I even have to drive my Vehicle barefooted 👣 because my foot so extremely wide that my feet 🦶 will touch both gas and brakes pedal at the same time . I have to look down at the pedal to see where to put my foot at so that I don't have a rear end collection & at night time I have to put a red light down by my feet 🦶 to see were to put my foot at on the pedals at night time all because of my foot being a sz15 6 E wide with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across . Thanks you so much for replying back & letting me know man .
Thanks but wishing you had spoke more regarding different types of bottoms and traction in different waters ,, rocks , mud , algae , etc. Older guys want to pick a stable platform and not slide into the water..
Fellow old guy in training. What I have experienced is if you fish rock bottom waters then you stay with an aggressive tread boot or shoe for grip. The wading boots with spikes are excellent but also the Choda and Simms high top boots. I have a pair of Simms made with ultralight weight material, hiking boots type sole that drain well and keep gravel out. Same applies to algae covered areas. For sand and pebble lined waters you can use the sneaker type water shoes or felt and lug sole if you need ankle support like me. Spend a little more ($80-90 and up) and your feet will thank you. The cheap 40-50 dollar Bass Pro ankle lug boots are horrible for foot support

I love my Korkers All Axis. Basically a real comfy tennis shoe with interchangeable soles-felt and a couple of different rubber soles available.

I’ve had good luck with some Temu water shoes, very inexpensive & not bad, they dry quick.

Thanks for this, I was wondering about this recently!
Thanks very helpful
Link to the columbia cast back shoe is for women's sizes. Shouldn't be an issue for men but gotta do the size conversion!
I was having trouble finding it in men’s
Need to get a boot drier so you don’t have to leave them outside, it will them from shrinking like they are doing

@@brianathern9154 Thank you sir.
To avoid having to hold the mic, clip it to the side of your hat, in front of your ear, pointed down. Now you’re hands free
