HELP!! WHY IS THIS NOT WORKING FOR ME??
Oftentimes when people embark on this MindBody healing journey, they become anxious and urgent to see results. After all, we have been raised in the western medical model. We are a “take a pill” society, a “get a surgery” society, a society with an unconscious desire to hand over our power, so somebody else can fix us.
That’s OK, I used to be like this too. And I completely understand it. But once you realize that you have so much more power than you knew to affect your physical and emotional health, there can be mixed feelings The is yours, but - OH NO! The power is yours.
Don’t let this derail you. Today we talk about the kind of energy that best facilitates a MindBody transformation. Don’t worry, you are not alone. I am with you. xoxo Nicole

TRUSTING THE PROCESS OF MINDBODY HEALING
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 місяці тому
Today’s video is on trusting the process of mind-body healing, letting go of perfectionism, and understanding that urgency to “get better” or be free of symptoms sends a message of fear to the nervous system. When we are healing from chronic symptoms, illness, or pain, the most important message we need to send to the nervous system is one of safety. We do this by relaxing into the work, not wa...

Hi I deal with chronic pain two of the worst being TMJ and trigeminal neuralgia caused by a surgery it’s 24 seven nerve pain they called the suicide disease for a reason. I’ve had it a long time now looking into the TMS protocol. I did have a question about Facebook I got on a couple other Facebook TMS sites that said they were not going to show up on my page but they did. I don’t really use Facebook actively but I don’t want everyone seeing my facebook activity. So if I join, how is it that people on my Facebook do not see that I am on your site, do they just not see my posts and do they see other post peoples posts do they see I’m on a site for chronic pain? I’m not a Facebook expert I do have an account but if someone could share how this works out appreciate it. Thank you looking forward to getting better

Something I’m stuck on at the moment - I thought the pain was a distraction from feeling the emotions in the conscious. If the pain is nagging for your conscious attention to let the emotions speak is that not the opposite thing?

Its amazing how when you get one part fixed the brain picks some other part of your body to hurt then you get that fixed the brain picks another place you keep going until the brain gives up

I had doubt untill one night I went to bed and everything hurt and woke up in the morning and nothing hurt. It takes the unconscious time to process everything. DR sarno is my savior. He was right about being desperate sometimes before it works.

His book explains how in the 1890s they did an experiment with people who cant move called hystericals. Someone hypnotised them and all of a sudden they can move around and dance and when he brought them back they couldnt move proving their problem was in thier heads.

The unconscious mind is very slow and lumbering. Thats why it takes time for it to work.

You know this works the minute your pain goes away and your brain picks a different spot that hurts. I fixed my back, then my shoulder then my carpal tunnel then my gut then my hip then my knees then my feet then sciatica going down my leg then my brain gave up. One year to the day my back cramped up and I was able to fix it in ten minutes when the first time It took three months then I found the book and it took three weeks.

The issue I have with this is it doesn’t consider the possibility that someone might actually have a physiological issue (Lyme disease, slipped disk, RA, etc). I’ve tried the Curable app, journaling, therapy, etc), yet nothing helped. Was diagnosed with RA & fibromyalgia, though meds only made me sicker. I’m not saying this doesn’t work, but it hasn’t for me.

Well I have pelvic pain and my hips sometimes hurt. It moves around. Anyway, when I was in the medical world they had me under an device to give me a cortisone shot in my periformis muscle. Two interns were standing nearby “saying OMG, wow, etc…. I asked the doctor what they were saying and he said they’re talking about your hip cartilage because it’s so thick. So your statement is not true for every case.

Thank you. I always love your videos. The content is great and you have such an approachable way of giving us a wake up call and telling us to do the work. I would love it if you could talk more about using this work to heal background symptoms that don’t change. A lot of mind body work assumes your pain symptoms are variable. I would love it if you could talk about background symptoms that are there 24/7 - that don’t change when you are happy or relaxed, or with additional stress triggers. For context I am talking about myalgia and feelings of heaviness in the limbs. My muscle pain never changes even when I’m in the best of moods or when something really bad happens. They vary with supplements but decades of trying various mind body techniques has not shifted these background symptoms. Currently tapping daily to address old wounds and yes I should probably go back to journalling but talking and tapping seems to open me up more easily 😉

What if you already know how miserable your life situation is and how your childhood was and all of the triggers that you have based on all of the PTSD you’ve experienced and dysfunctional personality traits you have and you could shout every bit of it to the rooftops? In other words there is no real self discovery to be made. Does writing all of this on paper release it all?

I was going to ask this question exactly I know it all I’ve talked about at all I’ve cried about it all I have accepted it I have forgiven I feel there’s nothing left. You gotta still have trigeminal Neuralgia after many years of this it’s gone on so long. The pain is nonstop at a very high-level even though I meditate 2 to 3 hours a day with a lot of deep breathing which is absurd I shouldn’t have to do that 2 to 3 times a day. I don’t understand how I could get any deeper into my traumas. And cannot really get rid of my pain when a lot of it started after being in a nice house that was flooded and my boyfriend didn’t want to fix it properly and I lived there for 13 years getting sicker and sicker and sicker from the mold then the chronic fatigues and the fibromyalgia back pain started getting worse and worse and then a surgery which I was told that would fix it all but it only gave me trigeminal neuralgia. Oh I forgot interstitial cystitis and severe pelvic pain which I cured 80% by stopping I’ll treatent and getting off the Internet. Back then it was only yahoo groups can you believe I haven’t done any research since then.I never googled success stories how stupid is that now I am grieving all the years I’ve lost with all this great information out there and people are healing. There must be something I’m doing wrong with my self analysis I don’t mind riding about it not sure where to start.

I have chronic pain in my feet. I have tried everything to make it better. I'm at my wit's end. All the stretching icing stretching different ways using orthotics etc does not solve this problem. After 15 years of no plantar fasciitis it came back in my left foot. But generalized fatigue and pain and numbness in some of my toes is a continual problem. It's getting to the point where walking is just no longer enjoyable. It doesn't matter what shoes I buy. It doesn't matter what podiatrists I go to. It stays the same.

this is so important, I fell for it twice. Having had long term gut issues, the first time I put off going to the doctor because I presumed it was just TMS playing up again - it wasn't, it was appendicitis (fortunately got it out before it burst) and the second time was this year, again, thought my increasing bowel pain was my long term TMS problem; it wasn't, it was a giant ovarian cyst that got stuck to my bowel but caused the same symptoms as the TMS. Fortunately got that sorted with a full hysterectomy too, but again, I didn't get it checked out earlier enough, either. In both cases had i persisted in waiting longer, they could have gotten really serious. Listen to her advice.
