Most folks don’t know Freud began as a medical doctor treating patients with physical ailments that he realized were the product of unconscious conflicts. Why should we believe we are above this today? This approach makes a lot of sense.

Thankyou for all you do, Nicole! I just found your podcast and just absolutely love it. I’m not sure how to comment on your podcast so you can see. So here I am. ☺️I stuffer with a lot of random pain and back pain that go into spasms. I suffer with panic attack as well so that don’t help with pain it just exaggerated it.
I wish you well…I look forward for more of your work.❤️❤️🙏🏽

You helped me heal so thankful for you and so sad still people won’t listen but at least I put the idea in their head. I only wish I had found you earlier- diagnosed with IC/interstitial cystitis at age 16.

Can your journaling method be used for other ailments, that include some pain but for example suffeirng with GUT issues due to recent stresses and Liver and Gallbladder stuff.. its likely I do have repressed buried feelings.

I know this works; saw the healing transformation happen to my adult child. Always think, but this can't be me but hit a point where I said, that's it. Willing to try this. Started slowly a couple of weeks ago. Listening to many podcasts and starting to journal. Purchased the freedom from an anxious life even though I've lived with several symptoms for most of my life, and I am so tired. Question. Has anyone experienced this: Taking on the symptoms of the persons in the podcasts?

Wish this could be put to the test somehow and reveal the power of the mind.

Hi Nicole, thank you for your work. I bought your book and courses. I feel lost though. Quick history... Around Dec2020 I started reading The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron because I've always wanted to be a writer/musician. I was enjoying the lessons which includes writing 3 pages every morning. A lot was coming out. Then on May15/2021 I hurt my back while landscaping. Within 2 weeks the back injury led to severe Sciatica - from my lower back all the way to my right foot. Since then I can not walk more than a few steps without collapsing back on the floor. Fortunately I'm a computer programmer and can work on my laptop laying on a massage table, but even just doing that requires painkillers. In short, I'm a classic "boohoo poor me I have no life and I'm eating meals off the floor like a dog and can't cut my own toenails and I'd rather shit myself than crawl to the bathroom etc etc". Seriously though, it's an effort to avoid feelings of despair. What's curious to me is that I kind of feel like it was The Artist's Way writing that triggered this. Allowing myself to believe I could augment my career (which I actually enjoy) by also developing my writing and music perhaps dislodged something hidden from my consciousness. But I was happy and I had a plan that I was looking forward to. Now I can barely do anything. Sure I can journal harder, but I was already doing that. I read Dr. Sarno's book and then found out about you when I was searching the net for success stories (trying to cheer myself up). I'm at a total loss and starting to get desperate. I'm prepared to do the work but was wondering if you still do psychotherapy remotely and/or can refer someone who might be able to help me get closer to what I'm not seeing? Sorry to bug, but the pain is, well... I know you know.

How are things with you? If you are still in pain, check out a short video on my channel "how to handle difficulties". I'm not looking for subscribers and likes, I honestly try to help as I can.

Quick update - I'm doing a lot better now. MRI showed that a herniated disc caused a bulge that was pinching my sciatic nerve. A combination of physio and decompression therapy got me to where I'm walking now. There's still discomfort. I can't jog or touch my toes, but I can walk sit and basically function without painkillers.

Can tooth pain be a manifestation of TMS? I have had many different symptoms and now they are all gone except tooth pain. It’s amazing how it can move around. Thanks God bless
