You know what the worst part about Downpour was? Not only was the HD Collection also released in 2012, but so did Book of Memories AND Revelation. Four critically panned installments into the Silent Hill franchise in just a single year. Silent Hill wasn't just killed, it had its heart ripped out in the middle of the street and had its body set ablaze, and all we could do was watch and shake our heads.

"We don't want to play a bad guy" Didn't James Sunderland murder his wife? Also I thought the whole point of all the monsters was that it represented all the figurative demons the protagonists had.
Actually that was a fool descission from the studio. I mean as you say James, Heather /Alessa, Alex (maybe the death of his brother was an accident, but at the end was the direct responsable). So maybe the studio doesnt know how silent hill works in some ocations.

I know a guy that got fired for being in the same room as this during testing. Wasn't even on the project, but happened to be in the room when a crash was found late into production and the QA director fired him and the tester that found the crash to appease the developers. Also one of the developers cussed out a tester because they suggested another crash that was found might be due to a memory leak. Good times at Konami.

Maybe you'll say they're not, but you would be lying
Tomm Hulett's kind of a tragic figure. Matt talked about this somewhat, but basically, he jumped into Silent Hill because he was a massive fan of the first three games, and he stayed because he wanted there to be SOMEBODY on these projects who understood the appeal of the franchise, but it seems his lasting impact was to have the franchise die a slow and lingering death instead of just crashing into the ground like Final Fight or other once-famous IPs that vanished. He was barely able to talk Konami out of having a big DBZ-style energy duel between Alessa Gillespie and Joshua Shepherd in Silent Hill Homecoming, to give an example of how bad it was. And because he was the self-appointed face of most of the post-Team-Silent games, fans sent all the hatred and harrassment his way, blaming the guy for everything that went wrong in the series. Guy had to quit because it was all too much.
Tomm was dealt a really bad hand and could only play it for so long. The combination of tomm being the front man for the silent Hill franchise and the fact that Konami is a crap company made for a really bad mix. Luckily for Tomm, he would go on to another studio and make some really good games from what I have heard. Although if Tomm's silent Hill games weren't just copies of the plot of silent Hill 2 every time. Both homecoming and downpour are more or less just silent Hill 2 with different characters. Apparently, Tomm and his friends had an obsession with silent Hill 2. Silent Hill 2 is my personal least favorite of the first 3 games, so I might be a bit biased against it.
@@sugarveins survive story actually is pretty simple. It was a cut mgo3 dlc (mgo3 was supposed to be supported way longer similary to mgo2) that was made stand alone. It was then delayed for almost a year to add a single player story mode and some new things, while still having a small budget because of the project. In no ways does survive really hint on the future of the serie and can be judged like a main game (would be like comparing metal gear acid to mgs3 back then) , the game actually had a pretty good supports from the dev (even if some things were never implemented in the game brcause they probably knew the game wasn't going to be popular.) In the end, survive is just a small spin off and that's it. It's not a main game and didn't "killed the serie".
Yeah this is the man who had to talk a team off a cliff because they wanted a DBZ-style Super Saiyan fight featuring Pyramid Head. The series fell on its face, but Tom was one of the few trying to catch it.
Holy shit, I never heard about that one. Yeah, Tomm was REALLY trying not to let things go too far, and knew fans would hate a lot of the stupid shit Konami was allowing. Hell, he fought to keep SH2 remaster's original voice work, because, again, he knew fans would hate the redubs. He's basically going, " well, this is going to suck, but let's at least try to make it suck less". Twin Perfect is the main reason the dude gets such a bad rap, but at least Fungo has turned around and apologized to Tomm for all the venom TP spewed at him.
The Mummy movie with Tom Cruise should be the next Wha Happun?, it was the perfect example of how not to launch a Cinematic Movie Universe. Vote this up the world needs to know.
Despite all it's problems, Silent Hill Downpour was still a decent game, if Konami had given the developers a bigger budget and a few more months, it could have been great. The Evil Within 2 feels like what Downpour could have been.
Yeah, i enjoyed Downpour a lot more than Homecoming overall. It definitely had some major issues though, like all of the Otherworld chase sequences, should have made more of an effort to personalise it to Murph's situation. Same as the monster designs being lazy. Atleast they didn't just go back to sexy nurses so that's a bonus i think. They missed a trick by not being with sexy demon policewomen instead though haha. Would have been cool though if Downpour's otherworld was more prison like. I also feel the story had major issues because of the entire branching paths thing, while all Silent Hill games have loads of different endings in general the characters and storyline follow one path and then a few select choices nearer the end decide what ending you get, or depending on what optional side things you did. While in Downpour it felt like they couldn;t tell a proper story or develop a strong lead character because they had to always a account for all of these choices you made.
@@LuisSanchez-yv4ct Yeah, it just makes me angry how lazy some aspects of Homecoming were, "oh look... it's Pyramid head *rolls eyes*". I will say Homecoming had cool boss/mini-boss visual designs though, it had at least that.
I don't think you're giving evil within 2 enough credit, it's such a tightly woven package. Downpour has a lot of flaws that can't easily be fixed even if it feels close to being a good game. The story is the biggest disappointment for me and I doubt that would've changed. It was a neat idea having the part change depending on your actions but it makes for a story that's so much weaker and less focused, not to mention the morale decisions are really lame.
Its a decent game, I mean its a step in the right direction, it just needed more. The story is not that bad, pretty good. The enemies are not special, only 2 boss battles which are short as hell. It reminds me of the Silent Hill movie, decent but it just needed more.
My pitch for better monster themes: Bug based, particularly centipedes and ticks (think of the tick-covered snakes in Bloodborne.) Murphy’s son was lost while camping. Bugs are also grabby and invade your personal space, which ties into, yknow (google what exactly happened to Murphy’s son.) Grabby hands and fingers, self explanatory. Bugs made of hands. Drooling mouths. Leeches. His son drowned and the man who did it is a parasite. Water spewing monsters, self explanatory. Monsters that cry and scream like children. Again, self explanatory. Basically focus on the horror of losing one’s child in such a horrible way. That’s way scarier than going to prison. Drop the whole prison thing entirely cause it’s stupid. Send Murphy to Silent Hill just over his guilt and depression over not being able to protect his son. He doesn’t deserve it, cause it’s not his fault, but that doesn’t matter to Silent Hill. All that matters is you think you deserve the punishment. The boogy man, instead of being someone’s Pyro loadout, should be an ever-changing thing that you never get a good look at. Maybe it has a blurry face. It represents how Murphy views the man who killed his son, who in this version, was never caught. Murphy has no closure on this issue.
The prison theme could work if they made Murphy more of a hardened life-long criminal, and a bit of an asshole. And the story could be completely reworked into how he became that way. As it is in the actual game, Murphy basically chose to go to prison, and was more or less a regular guy before that. Which holds no weight. For it to work, it’d have to have commentary on how and why people become criminals. Murphy could still be sympathetic this way, but having truly terrible things. Themes could include poverty, abuse, desperation, all things that contribute to a person likely growing up to become a criminal.
Downpour is best described as wasted potential. They had all the ingredients for an awesome Silent Hill game: a criminal in Silent Hill, possible cool monster designs hinting on the criminals pass and the mystery behind why hes there, and more possible cool and eary designs and locale. But...we got this.
Konami: tries to milk Metal Gear with massive departure nobody asked for. Also Konami: refuses to port the games people do want to current gen. Also Konami: ports the worst Castlevania game in an otherwise amazing collection when there are many other excellent games they could've gone with. Konami logic makes Capcom logic look genius in comparison.
@@zeroattentiongaming820 Also Konami: Short prints cards in Yugioh sets and overprints cards that I'm pretty sure nobody wants. See the Battlewasps in Battles of Legend Heroes Revenge.
@@NisseDood Indeed Capcom has turned things around, but still has some questionable logic. DMC 5 being the most succesful and widely praised in the series after only a few months, but not worth getting DLC for example. Despite completely exceeding Capcoms own unrealistic expectations. The one time Capcom refuses to make DLC is the one time people are demanding it. Maybe all these collections mean Konami is trying to pull a Capcom and see what properties and gameplay styles are worth bringing back. Or maybe they are just trying to piggyback on the Bloodstained hype with the Castlevania ports.
@Gabriel Knight yes. One of the ones who can be understood on a rational level, but killing your sick wife because you can no longer deal with caring for her is murder. (Edit: typo)

Downpour had so much potential to be great, but just failed to hit the mark. I wish I lived in the alternate timeline where Vatra got a second crack at the series after having learned from their experience with Downpour. I think they could have produced something really good. Shame.
Absolutely crazy to watch you cover this since this was the first LP I ever watched from you many, many years ago. Axe throwing is forever in my memory, and I'm glad you're still making fantastic content Matt!
This is a good series, Matt. I'm genuinely excited whenever I see a new one pop up. I don't even give a shit about half the games you talk about--the subject matter and the way you present it is very entertaining. Looking forward to the next one!
the scariest thing in this game is occasionally when you go through doors, the camera goes thru Murphy's head and you see the inside of his head model for a split second, unintentional jumpscares arent better than regular jumpscares
Have you heard of True Fantasy Live Online? Level-5 wanted to make an MMO for the original xbox in the early 2000's. Funny enough, Downpour doesn't seem like a bad game at all. Certainly not great, and some more creative monsters would be nice, but not bad. It's just all the horrible decisions by Konami that pretty much guaranteed that it wouldn't sell.

A friend of mine got to interview Dan Licht around the time the game was originally supposed to release and I got to sit in on the interview as an observer. He was a really nice guy, had an interesting approach to how he went about creating sounds for the music he wrote (most prominently featured more in his work on Dexter but as he pointed out, his experimentations on it did carry over into other projects when he felt the inspiration) and he absolutely knew when he got contacted about Downpour that fans were going to be breathing down his neck because "Yamaoka senpai"/etc. and he mentioned then that he wanted to try to blend a bit of what fans of the series were accustomed to hearing with his own style and I think he succeeded fairly well in that regard. He was a pretty good composer in general and it's a shame he's no longer around.
I know it's not a common opinion, but I loved Downpour. Mainly because of the actual town of Silent Hill in the game. It's easily the best version of said town in the whole series imo. Just so much to explore and learn, some really cool sidequests as well. Combat was meh, and enemy design was pretty uninspired, since they all had to be humanoid because of the combat system. But I was able to overlook that because of how much I loved exploring the town itself.
Going back to this, I couldn't help but think that Downpour's idea of using a convict in which player choices, during gameplay, defined their past. Stuff like this scenario and whether they are a killer, or maybe even innocent of the suspected crime, came from Midway's "The Suffering", released 8 years before this game. For a new horror series, it worked out pretty well, as it was establishing as that series' specific identity. The more this video described the idea behind the game, the more like "The Suffering" it sounded like.
Eh this game wasn't that bad, it's the best of the non team silent developed games. I enjoyed the side quests and thought the secret ending was pretty funny
I actually don't hate Downpour, but I like playing as villians/jerks. It's not that bad, but it's not Sient Hill 2, but few things are. Still, an interesting video, I didn't know half this stuff. Thanks.
@@scarlettbandit2803 It was entertaining, but the mechanics were flawed, it had a ridiculously small roster, plagued with DLC for costumes, uninspired cutscenes, awful balancing issues and no option to make the kills depend on damage. @@ubermenschmexa But they were when you learned how to play them... Or precisely when you were good enough to lock someone into a kill. It took a lot more patience to master than just hit people enough times so they'll fly off stage, like in Smash. I have the very controversial opinion that Murphy was not just the best part of Downpour, but was one of the most best protagonists of all of Silent Hill. He felt so much more deep and emotional then most of the protagonists, except maybe for James. Although most of the protagonists were intentionally a bit bland so as to let the player better identify with them, Murphy felt like he wasn’t as bland and he also had much better writing then Alex did (although that wouldn’t be hard).
Out of all(minus Shattered Memories) the post-Silent Hill 4 games in the series, Down Pour is easily the best of them. It’s better than Homecoming, Origins, and Book of Memories. It’s definitely far better than it ever had the right to be, given how dismally Konami pile-drived the series into the ground.
I actually like this game a lot. I enjoyed the story of the boogie man and the atmosphere. It's a shame it didnt played out well, but I'd recommend to give this a shot now that they have a fixed patch on this.
I actually loved downpour. I loved every silent hill game I've played. I liked that some of them had a different and unique story and gameplay like silent hill 4 the room, origins and shattered memories. Downpour had it's own charm too. I wish they would c ok me out with more because I'd be first in line.
I used to watch you play this game as a kid, it makes me really happy to see that you’re still successful & doing something really unique on UA-cam. Thanks Matt, you were always my favorite!
Gotta give Downpour credit where it's due though. While the monster designs were...less than satisfactory, to say the least (I liked the Dolls and the Wheelman though), the story actually had some great ideas. I really appreciate how Downpour did so much to make the story it's own - as in it didn't want to take tropes from other previous titles to form its narrative. Looking at you, Homecoming....
Considering who Konami is, that's unlikely to ever happen, unless another massive studio offers to take it off their hands for an attractive amount of money.
@@un-capital3666 I think something like that will happen. Probably not anytime soon but Silent Hill is a big name and I can't see it fading away forever.
This was a fun video to watch. This is actually the only Silent Hill game I ever played and I had fun with it. I remember some of the side quest puzzles were difficult but I pulled through in the end.
i am with Tomm Hullett. my wife and i Played dowpour and loved it, we also played homecoming and hated it, the Tomm idea was extremely good and i got myself thinkn the exact same thing that he wanted the player to ask himself "why, what for,am i good?" maybe he should'nt have tried it with a Silent Hill title? but for me it worked, the gameplay though....
Ya know, I actually really liked Downpour. It was a step up from Homecoming in my opinion and it was a decent story. Gameplay was different from most of the series but I was immediately hooked with its dark and yet beautiful story
God, all of these Silent Hill games really reek of mismanagement, it’s rarely the developers and it’s always Konami. It’s really shocking how little Konami cares about their brands, they were so happy to throw Silent Hill to 4 tiny cheap studios with very little legacy. It’s like they just didn’t care. I think this game actually had some really good ideas with Murphy being a criminal, I think it would be a great idea to see more people with some really messed up backstories and see how the town of Silent Hill would react.
You should do something on "Empire of the Deep", which was supposed to be the Chinese response to "Avatar", filmed in 2010 and despite a budget that ranges between 150-300 million, has yet to be released... but the leaked trailer looked glorious in its own way. It had like 4 directors throughout filming, lots of horror stories amongst the cast and crew and is a fascinating subject.
I enjoyed my time with Silent Hill Downpour. It most definitely was not perfect. It had it's issues, and this video does a great job of capturing many of those issues. But despite those issues I still enjoyed the game; I liked doing the side quests and exploring, I honestly enjoyed the story, and I thought Licht did a fine job with the music. Not a perfect game by any means, not the best Silent Hill, but I would definitely play it again someday.
I really enjoyed downpour, it actually had really good atmosphere, i don't understand why all the hate? I know it's by no means the best entry but it's not a bad game, and silent hill is my favourite franchise.
Silent Hill Downpour and DMC Devil May Cry are both Japanese developed games that hit a series low point when developing exclusively for the West, why do they keep trying this stuff?
And more importantly relying on stereotypes of what they think Western fans are into. Often resulting in a worse project when they focus on that instead of telling a good story and making a fun and enjoyable game.
Back in the early 2000s Japanese game companies thought that they would sell more copies in the west by trying to copy common Western game mechanics, Western stereotypes and Western story cliches. But all it did was make things worse. These brands were already established so fans were then alienated and no one from outside the fanbase really even care about the game. We are left with fans that aren't going to want to play the game because it's different now and trying to go after a market that's not going to play it in the first place.
I'll say it Matt, I honestly didn't like you as much as the rest of the SBFcrew back in the day. But in the last few weeks I can say without a doubt your content has such good value and composition that you're now my favorite reviewer and I always am looking for more. Silent Hill Downpour was one of those games that a longtime fan like me really tried and wanted to love. It's too bad that it didn't work out. Regardless of the mistakes that were made in development, I have no doubt that a lot of people involved worked very hard and cared deeply about creating a title worthy of the Silent Hill brand. I think our first instinct should be to empathize with them as opposed to criticize and I think Matt did a good job of both with this review.
Silent Hill: Downpour and it's graphic novel, Silent Hill: Downpour Anne's Story, together make up my favorite story told in the town of Silent Hill, and I lavished the rainy fog atmosphere it had heaps of! Sure, it wasn't scary... But since when had Silent Hill been scary since Team Silent's departure? I took it for what it was and loved it!
@@thepickles8833 I partially agree with you that it was odd for Murphy Pendleton to encounter the Doll enemies, despite their symbolism being heavily linked to Anne Cunningham... However, let it not be forgotten that protagonists in the past have encountered similar/relative creatures or monsters linked to someone else's psyche... This can be said about James Sunderland battling Angela Orosco's Abstract Daddy, the multiple iterations of the Nurse through almost every entry as well as creatures tied to the Red Pyramid and it's other appearances in Arcade and Sinner's Reward, namely the Butcher from Origins and both Bogeyman entities from Homecoming and Downpour, etc. Sure, many of these creature appearances can be chalked up to the creature design teams being lazy... But it's been a common occurrence even when Team Silent worked on the franchise.... I'd be lying though if I didn't say the monster design had definitely felt lacking, if the design team behind Origins or even Homecoming had come back to work on Downpours monsters, I feel that they'd been better received. And as for the technical side of Murphy fighting Anne's creatures: the game had originally been envisioned as a co-op multiplayer game, where Murphy and Anne would've worked together to escape Silent Hill... Obviously, the ambitious nature of this game for Vattra was killing them, and it'd been scrapped early on, opting for the scrapped DLC mentioned in the video.
Downpour was 1 of the best silent hills beyond the original ones I preferred it too the shattered memories one it's better then homecoming close tbh though I think the only one I can say was better was silent hill origins. Now its been years since I played all these games so may change my mind but I really enjoyed Downpour
Akira Yamaoka's music does fit the series like a glove and is very captivating with it's mix of rock, industrial and ambience. I really like it in fact. Still, the music on Downpour turned out well. I see nothing wrong with adding a Korn theme song to the main menu, although I think it was actually a JD track but I'm not 100 percent on that. Especially considering this is not the only time vocals have been used. Even with Yamaoka at the helm, vocal tracks appeared even during the game. Besides, it's a good song and fits the narrative. It's on the official soundtrack to Downpour and I suggest everyone give it another listen.
Konami in the late 00s/early 2010s: "Playing as a criminal feels kinda icky..." Rockstar and Volition[R.I.P]: "Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the cash registers ringing."
Oof, that SH2 quote at the end actually made me cry a bit. As someone that's played all the games released in the west when they were released, it's really heartbreaking that Silent Hill didn't at least die with grace. It died in it's own Silent Hill, never to make it through to it's retribution.
I never saw a problem with the protagonist being a criminal. It made sense to me since Silent Hell was a personal hell for people with much of it being catered towards the protagonist's own inner demons and past sins.
I really liked this game and I had a great time playing it. It's my favorite one. It's a shame no one else feels the same. After every thing is said and done were all here because we love silent hill.
Is a good game, but as Konami ordered VAtra on so much things, that much of the game they had literally to beg to be put on, that Matt for some reason didn't wanted to say. wasn't so that well executed
I urge everyone to read the comic "Silent Hill: Downpour Anne's Story" It's from Anne's perspective after the crash. It doesn't fix everything but does fill in the plot beautifully. I loved it
I live in France and the game was supposed to release in february there. I remember back in the day I went to my local video game store when the day came and the guy said that he didn't received any game and it was still planned for this day and that he had no news about anything. Several days later we both learned that the game was pushed back to the end of march (in Europe at least) without any sort of official and clear communication. And when I got back there he received the game this time but everything was already sold since he got only TWO f*****ing copies of it. It's totally crazy how KONAMI fucked up everything about this game's marketting...
God, this video was eye-opening and depressing enough but the clip of Maria's note at the end was heart breaking considering the context that Silent Hill's as good as dead.
I always thought the plot of Downpour was sloppy but, had an interesting theme to it. The idea of becoming someone else’s “bad guy” while trying get revenge on your own was intriguing. I also always felt the country song( “I’m afraid of storms” by Jonathan Singleton) that plays after the Korn song was actually a really good fit for the game and should have been the theme. The bugs really killed this game for me though. So many times the game would just glitch at some of the worst times killing the scary atmosphere and just leaving me pissed. Cheap enemies and the terrible, glitchy way of earning the alternate endings just were the final nails.
I have to admit I actually quite liked Downpour. For the standards we expect from a Silent Hill game, yeah it wasn't up to expectations, but considering this was the first (and only) big game the development team ever worked on, it had an interesting story, some good concepts, and felt the most 'Silent Hill-y' of the post SH4 Silent Hill games. Although that being said I do think Shattered Memories was the better game overall.

@@viewtiful1doubleokamihand253 I think The Suffering makes it work, as Torque is said to not remember anything. Instead of just cutting away and you find out later, you know as much as the main character does at the time you start and you build off from there. Is he a heartless killer? Is he innocent? You know what the worst part about Downpour was? Not only was the HD Collection also released in 2012, but so did Book of Memories AND Revelation. Four critically panned installments into the Silent Hill franchise in just a single year.
Silent Hill wasn't just killed, it had its heart ripped out in the middle of the street and had its body set ablaze, and all we could do was watch and shake our heads.
And somewhere in our minds we all imagined ourselves as the pisses off denizens of Silent Hill. Wanting to tear Konami to pieces.
And when Hideo, Del Toro, Junji Ito and the rest of the team came by with their PT ambulance to try save it, Konami shot a rocket launcher at them.

Didn't James Sunderland murder his wife? Also I thought the whole point of all the monsters was that it represented all the figurative demons the protagonists had.
From a legal standpoint James murdered Mary but from a technical standpoint it was a mercy killing/euthanasia.
Noah Spears He admitted to her that he was bored of having a wife he couldn’t fuck around. It wasn’t a mercy killing. Play the game.

@Dr. Loomis korn is actually a great band. If you dont believe me listen to the cover album that makes all their songs into children's lullabies and tell me that their melodies and chord progressions aren't incredibly strong and memorable even when put through silly, baby themed instrumenstation.
It was literally a fan child wanting to see cool things
That is just sad
Great, all this talk of Silent Hill, survivor horror games, and Konami goofs just made me remember Metal Gear Survive. I hope you're happy, Matt.
I have no idea what you're talking about. I know for a fact no such thing exists
HEY MATT, I GOT A WHAT HAPPUN IDEA...
In no ways does survive really hint on the future of the serie and can be judged like a main game (would be like comparing metal gear acid to mgs3 back then) , the game actually had a pretty good supports from the dev (even if some things were never implemented in the game brcause they probably knew the game wasn't going to be popular.)
In the end, survive is just a small spin off and that's it.

Despite all it's problems, Silent Hill Downpour was still a decent game, if Konami had given the developers a bigger budget and a few more months, it could have been great. The Evil Within 2 feels like what Downpour could have been.
Yeah, this game AT LEAST tried to move forward instead of banking on the movie like Homecoming
Downpour needed more attention and polished. There were a lot of decent ideas put into it

More what?
My pitch for better monster themes:
Bug based, particularly centipedes and ticks (think of the tick-covered snakes in Bloodborne.) Murphy’s son was lost while camping. Bugs are also grabby and invade your personal space, which ties into, yknow (google what exactly happened to Murphy’s son.)
Grabby hands and fingers, self explanatory.
I've got a few;
Left Alive
Front Mission: Evolved
Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire
Resident Evil: Dead Aim
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Pretty sure the main reason resident evil: dead aim isn't liked is because it's a light gun game
Let Andromeda die like it deserves
Dead aim is kinda good.. If you use light gun
Add I Am Alive
to that list, too.
New Gundam Breaker

I have the very controversial opinion that Murphy was not just the best part of Downpour, but was one of the most best protagonists of all of Silent Hill. He felt so much more deep and emotional then most of the protagonists, except maybe for James.
I'll say it

“We don’t want to play as a criminal”
My brother in Christ…. Grand Theft Auto is one of the most profitable games in history.
Downpour was 1 of the best silent hills beyond the original ones I preferred it too the shattered memories one it's better then homecoming close tbh though I think the only one I can say was better was silent hill origins. Now its been years since I played all these games so may change my mind but I really enjoyed Downpour
We so need one of these about Homecoming. My god, that game's such a disaster.
It's on the official soundtrack to Downpour and I suggest everyone give it another listen.
as sad as it is, atleast they created some masterpieces , even P.T. left a huge mark on the horror genre . The town is still here forever
This is actually the first What Happened video I've checked out. Really interesting stuff delivered really well. Gonna binge more of the series
There was a soul here, but...
It's gone now.
Konami in the late 00s/early 2010s: "Playing as a criminal feels kinda icky..."
Rockstar and Volition[R.I.P]: "Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the cash registers ringing."
The part about Korn is a hilarious train wreck
It was the first silent hill I ever played I thought it was amazing
I think the same. It's a great game, a pretty good Silent Hill, and it had awesome ideas (that were captured better in Evil Within 2)
Is a good game, but as Konami ordered VAtra on so much things, that much of the game they had literally to beg to be put on, that Matt for some reason didn't wanted to say. wasn't so that well executed
I would love to see one about the unreleased Timesplitters game. Because I wanna know wha happun
I urge everyone to read the comic "Silent Hill: Downpour Anne's Story"
It's from Anne's perspective after the crash.
Not sure how i came across your channel dude but i'm so glad i did, been binging your vids the past few days
My heart weeps for the Silent Hill fans. 😔
This one really hit me deep. Thanks Matt. Also, resubmitting my suggestion for Two Worlds.
People are way too nice to this game. Downpour is just wretched but people defend it so hardcore
Downpour is unironically one of my favorite Silent Hill games and idc what everyone thinks.
I loved silent hill. My favorite game out of the series was the Room.
Oh, hi Mark.
