I spun a rod bearing in my 2016 Accent, this video has been my guiding light all the way. I can’t express how much I appreciate you posting this video!
Nice work, that looked easy. Getting ready to do my step son's 2014 Accent. 80k and it's knocking pretty loud. Located a lower mile donor to swap. He didn't stay ontop of oil changes and is kicking himself now. Excellent video (background music would be nice). Keep up the good work!
Thanks a million for this awesome tutorial...40 min and the engine was out...i was stressing over this job for a week now...cause i have to replace the engine in my wifes 2014 hyundai accent! i been quoted up to $2500 just for labour alone and from 950 to 1700 for a used engine! i could do this myself over a weekend like nothing im sure! ill be lacking the hoist and engine crane though...so ill see if i can rent of those cranes somewhere i could put the car on jack stands for the work underneath! obviously $2500 in lab plus tax is pretty much robbery! wouldnt mind paying a shop rate of $100 /hr if they would charge the actual time it takes...im sure a seasoned tech. can do it in 3 hrs and the shop is making money @$300 for this re and re. i was in business for over 30 yrs in the autoglass trade and never ripped anyone off....especially not for $2500...thats just retarded!!! anyway i truly appreciate this video Sir. sincerely !TK
Taking the front bumper off is the way to go if you have a way to recover and recharge the ac. remove coolant hoses, disconnect ac lines towards the top left of radiator, remove bumper, save hours.
hello guy's how can i check in paperwork if the engine is the original or have been changed...recently i been to service because the car have hesitate when i accelerating and the mechanic say something about the engine is not original
Hey my man. I got a question for you. My wife's 2016 hyundai tucson's engine seized up. Full of oil , and everything. I was wondering if there were any engines that would swap in its place.
Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone knew what was that plastic cover called on 29:13 I have some leaking on my car coming from there but I can’t seem to find it online, thanks for the help.
Is it worth doing such a repair? or will the same happen again with the replacement engine? seems that they are the same engine from 2011-2019. So why didnt hyundai correct the problems after the first year or two? was it simply a data error? Should i take it to a dealer after the engine swap is done for software updates? also...is the 2014 accent covered by the massive recall hyundai out? is the 1.6l 2014 accent part of that huge recall? our just started knocking..louder than usual and then smoked ,,,then lost power and finally stalled. but when i tild my wife to check the oil she said there barely any on the dipstick! now my mechanic doesnt want to open it up for fear of the extent of damages...he cleared 7-8 codes...then noticed a coil was faullty... then said he noticed a prob. with timing belt/chain or gears and thats when he refused to go any further. im debating if i should put a used engine in and give the car to my kids...again...i truly appreciate you help with my dilemma! im open to anyones suggestions so...feel free to reply to my comments...i am grateful for any and all help!
You can call the dealer and give them your Vin and they can tell you for sure. It stinks when there are issues like these with cars. The chevy 2.4 is a pile of crap also. These are super easy to replace, you should look for a low mileage if you go the used route, just stay on top of fluid changes, that's all you can really do.
@@CarMechaNick ive done that and received no reply after 3 days...i will try again and from there wither call...or go straight to the service counter. Why cant i separate the engine from the transmission ? Took all the bolts off but still wont part from each other !!!! Please help
Can I replace the 1.6 with a 1.8 liter engine.
Another Hyundai with rods through the Block.
Hahaha we get lots of see through motors. More people are allergic to oil changes than you think! 😂😂

Hey, I got another question. What years are compatible with a 2.0. Or are they kinda year specific
I'll be honest I don't know I let the parts guy and my service manager figure that out. They are the ones calling the scrap yards and dealers.
I’m currently doing mine, I don’t have bolts into the transmission though, hope it just slips
Love that jumpscare at the end.
I had to watch it. 🤣 so sorry some vids don't have audio lol

Why no volume
Some of these Hyundai engines are trash and should be recalled
I thought I had gone deaf
Gotcha!
Hey my man. I got a question for you. My wife's 2016 hyundai tucson's engine seized up. Full of oil , and everything. I was wondering if there were any engines that would swap in its place.
You should be able to find another factory engine to put in it. Either a remanufactured engine or a used one from a junkyard.
If you did the 953 campaign Hyundai should be replacing it for you under warranty
Is there any sound ??
Thank you so much sir and you save me so much time
Thanks for watching! Glad it helps!

It’s the access hole to the converter bolts.
Nobody will touch mine 😭😭😭
Awe man what a shame!
Why would you need to take out the entire engine in a 2015 model vehicle?
It went bang bang
Sound?
29:16 what step was this for? What size socket goes on the bolts?
Those are torque converter bolts being removed. I think a 17mm in these.
@@CarMechaNick thanks
