Just looked up the price. idk what the hell they're smoking. The Wilcox BOSS-Xe MSRP is 766 dollars LESS and has changeable zeros just like this thing, but also has a vis/ir laser, and an ir illuminator all in one package. The 9T isnt just overpriced, its genuinely unhinged.
Think its msrp is 2k so yeah super expensive but as are most things that are gov contract oriented stuff. This is being made for socom if Im not mistaken so yeah they are cranking the price up for us civillians for sure.
I use to like sig until they kept winning military contracts. There an arms dealer for the government now. Selling off lame items and overpriced to civilians. Some goat hoarder in Afghanistan got some Gucci sig fire arms I'll stick with Glock and homebuilt ar setups my setups are better than sig due to the fact I don't have to stay in house branding and I run the best there is . Radium charging handles know way around it , sig can't make that along with other components like optics , bolts , grips etc .
I can literally just see this for 2 applications, the new usgi spear and ammo ( since the training ammo and real ammo are drastically different pressure wise). And 300 blackout, since subs and supers have drastically different holds.
Pretty slick. Lots of bells and whistles. I'm sure the price point is going to be high. Frankly, I personally don't need this many features, but someone somewhere probably does.
This is just a mepro light tru vision with fancy electronics in it, probably why meprolight couldn't release their multi reticle version on release day.
It's massive! Why not just get a Holosun 510c? It does just about everything the Sig can do in a smaller form factor, better battery life, and at a cheaper price.
Pretty sure this is targeted towards the spear. Since it has from what I understand independently zero able red dots. One for low pressure training ammo, and one for high pressure combat ammo. Civilian use cases ( atleast where it will really be useful) will probably be subsonic to super Sonic ammo. ( I.e. 300 blk, maybe 9mm). I don't see much use in subsonic 223. Since at that point it seems pretty close to heavy 22lr loads.
It's basically competing against the Wilcox BOSS Xe, but without the coaligned lasers. However, half the price of the Wilcox. So there's that. For me, I just mounted a micro dot at 45 offset to do my second zero and I'm at half the price of the Romeo9T.
if only, you can't adjust windage for subs and supers on the Boss Xe independently, just vertical not an issue I guess unless you're getting drastically different windage with subs and supers like I was, had to return the Boss
I have the 8t. I’m not sure why you guys made the 9t look like an eotech. The 8t is probably the sexiest optic ever built. Why not make the 9t resemble the 8t a bit???
I got excited because this looks like an upgraded EOTech - (you know what we've all been waiting for... a better enhanced EOTech) but as of 03/01/2024 - the Sig 9T optic is $3,900 USD. That's a hard hell-no for me.
You can get Eotech 512's for $350, so yeah, SIG will definitely not release this optic cheaper than that. And it's just a standard reflex sight not even Holographic.
@@-joe-davidson being made for DoD contracts, I highly doubt it. Assembled in US with domestic and imported parts from ally countries like Japan, South Korea etc.
I absolutely would not. It's an overpriced oversized red dot. I'll stick with my Eotech for holographic and nv. For standard red dots you can get an aimpoint for less than half the price this is going to be listed at
So it's not even a holographic? That means you're competing against other red dots like aimpoint and holosun. My guess, based on Sig's history, is that they will overprice it because of "R&D". The only potential saving grace is that it has clear glass and is good under NVG....but again EoTech has that market locked down.
