- The new EOTECH On-Gun Laser (OGL) is offered in a standard power (MIL/LE) model. Powered by a single CR123 lithium battery, the OGL offers up to 9 hours of continuous run time. The all-aluminum housing offers extreme durability and its compact size is similar to a standard deck of playing cards. The IR and Visible lasers are optically aligned so zeroing is simple and easy. The OGL has a unique sliding lever that controls the beam divergence of the IR illuminator, making adjustments from spot to flood fast and easy, even under pressure.

The presentation of the product is well done. The selling points are the cost, and the aesthetics for now. Possibly even the performance. LE and MIL will definitely have this on the radar, but not sold until we see the performance in comparison to the NGAL, MAWL, and Raid X. Excited to see this product develop.

I work in european LE and I have to say this looks absolutely exciting. I doubt I'll ever get my hands on something like this as our current point in gun modernity is "putting red dots on MP5s is super up to date" but it looks super interesting and dare I see cool nonetheless

I use a Holosun IR laser on my rifle home defense rifle. It works fine and uses a AA battery, cheaper in the long run.
Take a look at the Holosun Thermal/Night Vision Red Dots, in my opinion if they actually work as advertised I wouldn't be surprised if they become really popular within the LE/urban operations world.

This is the most intuitive & best executed laser on the market right now imo. Maybe ever. That divergence knob is pretty slick. I can’t wait to snag one of these upon release & compare performance. Even at $2100 LE pricing it’s still more affordable than XE & the Mawl c1+. Excellent presentation. Well done.

@@xxxod NV is expensive AF. Most people would previously go with a MAWL at $3650, so $2k is pretty damn reasonable if quality is good.

This is amazing! It weighs the same as a PEQ-15 or DBAL A3 and costs twice as much! Another way to see it is it's twice as heavy as an NGAL for only 75% the cost! $3000 is a bargain for a half pound laser aiming module because it has such cool external sculpturing and the Eotech logo!
Imagine dropping 2 grand when you can buy a somotech airsoft OGL for less than $100 that does the exact same thing, and its lasers aren't limited by FDA regulations. Intended for airsoft use but plenty of people have tested them on real firearms and they hold up just fine since all the internals are fixed in place in the housing by epoxy.

Am not LE/Mil, just a casual gun owner who wishes to Gucci out his gun. This looks absolutely fantastic, and would definitely go well with an EOTech optic. I've heard they're releasing a civilian model soon, and will be patiently awaiting for it's release.

This looks fantastic. I'd love to see a civilian version of it. The civilian market options are all pretty bad save for the MAWL C1+ and it's simply too expensive. The DBAL D2 is a great performer but Steiner's QC is inconsistent and the D2 is heavy as hell.
My thoughts exactly. They're making a civi version too. I'm saving my pennies for this, for sure. I can't think of any way to make it better, save if they could have gotten it even smaller and lighter.
@@squirreltakular9049 The problem is that the military versions are all laser based, and at sub-5mw power restrictions, you just can't do much with that. They really need to go with LED for the civilian unit. So far, Steiner and BE Meyers are the only ones to do that. More and more people are getting into night vision so I think it might be worth it to have something with EOTech's quality versus all the compromises we have now.
@@Spamsmoothie1701 Why is LED necessary? Have you seen the output from these newer VCSEL illuminators? Plenty of power to get to the 200m or so max distance you would be engaging someone with unmagnified helmet mounted night vision.

The only Steiner product with a useable illuminator is the D2, and it weighs over 12 oz vs 7.5 oz for the OGL.

For everyone irrationally complaining about the $2199 price tag do realize it’s for the FP (full power) model. Even if the civilian model is $2k or so it’s still a better price (same vscel tech) than the B.E. Myers mawl c1+ that sits pretty steep at $3.6k and the other LAD’s on the market that are around $4-$4.5k or higher.
Irrational? You could buy two guns for that price.

Yeah they should be instead complaining about how the company raised the price from 1599 to 2199 in a span of 3 months after their appearance on the Q podcast.
And also how only Mil units and Leo departments can order NOT individuals of either. They also were full of shit that the Civ version for $1299 would be available Q1 2023.
Eotech needs to tell their staff to not make empty promises.
Not to mention we have no way of knowing if this is a quality unit since no one was provided one I’ve seen on UA-cam or other platforms
@@Swissk31300BO unexpected shit happens at higher levels behind the scenes that the rep didn’t know at the time of recording. as a company they aren’t going to eat a loss on a new product just because someone said an expected price on a podcast. the pricing that dropped is for the LE/MIL version, the civilian version will more than likely be priced in line with the performance that the FDA requires. any delay with the civilian version should be taken up with the FDA as they’re the one’s causing it with arbitrary regulations.

@@klekaelly Most other military-grade LAMs are made of tough polymer. The OGL is definitely going to be heavier than its main competitors (NGAL and Raid Xe).
I already run a MAWL on my GPR, but I will probably grab one of these as well for my other rifle I have. I know people are kinda bitching about the price, but I think $2k is a fair price 🤷♂️ catch a Black Friday sale, especially since these are coming Q4 to the civilian market, you might be able to grab it for $1700 🙂

No, it's not. Not even a little bit. It's half the price of the closest competition. Go price a MAWL, NGAL, Raid-Xe, or a used FP LA5. The civilian version will likely run a few hundred dollars cheaper. At that price, it's half the price of the competition for the same technology from a known quality manufacturer.

This is a VCSEL device. It's leaps and bounds better than a full power PEQ15. It's also as much, if not cheaper, than the older model PEQ15. A gray market PEQ15 with a recent manufacturer date in new/like-new condition will run $2,000+. With that $2,000, you get an illuminator with artifacts in the beam pattern and an illuminator adjustment that's a pain in the ass to use. Oh, and no warranty, either. This will have a significantly cleaner and brighter illuminator, an illuminator adjustment lever that's much easier to use, and an aluminum housing at the same weight. The civilian version of the OGL will likely blow a standard full power PEQ15 out of the water from a pure performance stand point, if other competitors' civilian VCSEL models are any indication. It will also be cheaper and have a warranty. So no, not a PEQ15 for triple the price. More like a MAWL, Raid-XE, or NGAL performance for nearly half the price.
