Wow, I'm SO excited for this! It looks exactly like the sort of replayable co-op mode I was hoping for. I hope that they put out a trailer or something on the day of release, so more players are aware of this great-looking new way to play the game
Fun fact: Kastor's remark that Kronos was "fond of sickles" is a reference to the fact that, in greek mythology, Kronos used a sickle to cut off his farther's (Oranos) manhood and then took his throne as king of the titans.
So I was right about there being some form of story but obviously it's not the main focus It's seem like this is taking place after the titans campaign and Gaia is taking up the mentor figure like Athena for Arkantos
but one little interesting thing. Kastor received the staff of Atlantis, but here he uses his swords. But it can be interpreted that he left the sceptre home.
In Retold Turmae are both ranged soldiers and cavalry. And throwing axemen are both ranged soldiers and infantry. So your Contarii can counter throwing axemen and your Turmae should be able to turn into infantry.
It's not that weird, is it? The African golden jackal was only very recently reclassified to African golden wolf - we've got centuries of Egyptological documentation calling it a jackal, that's not all going to vanish overnight just because biologists made a non-Egyptology-related decision. And in any case, it is SO common to call animals things they "technically" aren't - red pandas aren't pandas, hermit crabs aren't crabs, the king cobra isn't a cobra, etc. (And all of this is predicated on the assumption that Anubis was based on exactly one species and that we can tell which species it was, rather than him representing canines more broadly.)
AOM Retold still won’t launch on my PC. Can’t figure out why, really frustrating. Redownloaded all of my C drivers like a lot of folks on Reddit suggested, checked Firewall access, still can’t get it to launch.
@seancoleman3120 The campaign on titan was easy as well. Only people who don't know how to play will give e "feedback " that it was difficult. If it's difficult they should just play it on a lower difficultly. Not titan.
@seancoleman3120 No "pros" definitely didn't think it was difficult lol. Mission 18 was more difficult than others but definitely manageable and the only time I felt it was actually titan difficulty. Others were like cake walk. Mission 18 should have been the baseline. People who want easy campaigns can just play it on story mode.
>Arena of the Gods is Here!
Arena of the gods is in fact not here
On UA-cam. :D Not long though.
got baited, launched game was disappointed

Which was provided him by Gaia to do so. Full circle

Does feel like it mirrors the fall of the trident campaign for sure
but one little interesting thing. Kastor received the staff of Atlantis, but here he uses his swords. But it can be interpreted that he left the sceptre home.
This looks like a really interesting take on an RTS and I’m excited for the game mode.
definitely a love letter to the genre

This looks like it could be a lot of fun! At the very least it's a new way to play the game which is always welcome.
Nice video. Concerning the murmilliones, it seems to be the correct Latin plural form.
Nah it should be dudederinos as boit says
@@muramasa870lmao
The fact he didn't research any myth techs on the double myth tech effects mission annoyed me so bad. 😂
Cheiroballista hero with aoe attack even tho he gets multiple projectiles is crazy OP
A little disappointed tbh. I was expecting something akin to general's challenge from cnc generals zero hour, instead we get glorified skirmish maps.
Anubis is not a jackal. He's a wolf. I can't believe we still make this mistake 10 years after we found out we were wrong.
jackal, because there had been no wolves in desert biomes for the children of Mizraim to depict the deity

Bit disappointed that you have to play as Atlantians. I wish we had more Greece and Egypt
Wait is Gaia's va the same as athena? They couldn't afford another va?
How does this work in co-op? Is there two TCs to control?
I think you and ally will have different tc
Great video!
This looks like an absolute cakewalk. How could that even be fun
It is the tutorial and first showing. They probably didnt want to make it to hard after all the feedback on the campaign being way to difficult

@@general_kastorpro's found it hard as well as most AOM UA-camr's on release... do you not remember mission 18?

Seems like its way too easy. Extreme difficulty and seemed like a cakewalk. Tutorial or not, shouldnt be this easy when choosing extreme
I thought the same. I’m hoping the next missions are more challenging
maybe this is for testing as the mode is not yet out, so there is a chance to increase the difficulty when released.
I ancient Greek plural for Murmillo should be Murmilloi.
Nah it should be bombaaclaaaaattt
@ Atlanteclaaaaat
Murmillo is a Latin name (although derived from a Greek word) for the gladiator type, so the Romans would say Murmillones.
@ I know man but they say shit like Maké or something, so I was gonna go Greek. I believe the greek one was mormyros.
@@riseALK its original meaning was a type of fish (mormyrus), which is align the Atlantean theme.
do the turma turn into arcus when they fall?
Are you sure NDA is lifted?!
How many players is the co-op in this mode ?
2 players or more ?
currently it is two but who knows maybe later they will changed it for more.
Sorry I can’t tune into this video way too big of spoilers. Can’t wait for this content drop!
Nicee
Lol, Kronos vs. Amon (SCII)
can you play wth boit? against legendary AI of course
Watch the first 30 seconds ffs.
Does this game mode come later to Xbox users?
It comes out 7th Nov - I had early access from Worlds Edge for this video
Skoopole
wow
Nice! But I can't stand this kastor VA
I thought Kronos was locked away in Tartarus? Is Erebus the same thing or did Kronos get a new prison?
Google tells me Erebus is a general term which can refer to a lot of things including Tartarus (so kinda the same in this scenario)
@@goochipoochie Tartarus is beneath Erebus (Hades in Roman polytheism)
Why no 60fps
I wanna play rn bruh
The voice acting sucks 😟
good to know how this goes...not worth the dlc
It's a free update
dlc is freyr and 2 new pantheons of gods (chinese and one to be decided)
