In Tokyo, the rent is similar ($500~$800 for rent alone) . In Nagasaki, there are many old and vacant houses in the sloping areas, so I can rent one very cheaply :)

Also the food you are cooking looks delicious and healthy but be carefull too much tofu is not good for health, especially for men. To be healthy soybeans have to be fermented ( miso natto...) but tofu is not.

Aluminium foil works to get rust of things. Try a bit of wash8 g up liquid on foil and scrub with that. I recommend a test area first.
