As a fat female I agree with everything you said. I have no problem when people call me fat. Because that’s what I am. Like nobody has a problem with calling someone skinny because that’s what they are. But when people actually mean it as an insult and not an adjective is where I say something back. Like you would when someone insults you.

As a fat person I agree with the points made in this video I think there’s just too much sensitivity around being called things and it would be healthier for everyone to just accept themselves as they are change the things they don’t like (like me I can lose weight at any time) and just be grateful for the people who include them in their lives accepting them as they are everything else is just noise honestly
But it's not an easy task to lose weight and requires a massive change in eating habits, sleeping habits, and physical activity. Not to mention there are a lot of health issues that make weight gain easy and weight loss extremely difficult. Not to mention just about all the food in the US is full of preservatives and sugar so it's kind of hard to find healthy foods because even foods where you wouldn't expect to find sugar will have an ample amount of it. I have PCOS and prediabetes and it's impossible to find afforadable whole foods with no preservatives or added sugars and despite the fact I rarely eat because I never have an appetite I seem to just never lose weight. Even when I was working out daily for 3 months straight and eating healthier I only lost like 2 lbs. It's so spirit killing to put in so much work for nothing to happen and I feel like a lot of fat people fall down a similar spiral. I actually recently started taking metformin for my PCOS and prediabetes and I've been losing weight noticeably for the first time in my life and honestly it's nice to look in the mirror and not hate my body as much as I used to. I went on a bit of tangent but my point is you may be able to lose the weight easily but for a lot of people it is extremely hard for one reason or many to lose that weight so I just wish people would stop judging other people while knowing nothing about their struggles.

Luckily I was never obese but there was a time where was overweight(according to BMI). Being fat is the result of binge eating, it's the result of a addiction and people don't realize that. Luckily I'm not overweight anymore(most of my weight loss wasn't healthy b/p, ana) but losing weight made me feel free. I can run easier, still play my favorite sports, and just feel better about myself overall

I’m in a girl friend group, and the anxiety they get about being “fat” when they’re literally just curvy and normal is insane, like to the point where two of my friends have had ED’s in the past. As someone from Gen Z and isn't skinny, I agree that this shit is already getting old. I am 25 and I have pre-diabetes and I am open about it. After I turned 25, I started drinking more water and making changes for my health. I had a wellness exam in May right after my birthday and began my weight loss journey. In June, I got bloodwork done and a week after it, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and two weeks later, I found out I had a yeast infection from results from a pap smear I got the same day I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I take Metformin and have been taking it since June.
Prior to my diagnosis like years prior mind you, I had a routine and weighed much less than I did. Like at age 19, I was 180-190 and trying my best. However, years later, I just...lost it and it sucks. I was ready to give up on life til I turned 25 this year. In May, I weighed 270 but currently, I weigh 250 pounds. Within three months, I lost 20 pounds. I drink more water and take vitamins.
EDIT:I am at 240+ and this month, I turn 26.

Yeah, currently sitting at about 250lbs. Could be worse, but the double standards, general cope with 'fat acceptance' and much more annoy me to no end. It's some shit to see it go down like that all the time, like damn. I know I am fat, but so far, I haven't really been impacted much, I still get stuff done as needed, move around with ease, the whole thing (could def do with some weight loss tho.) Honestly the reason fat people (including myself) don’t like being called fat to my face is because there is a lot of self esteem issues that come with being fat.
You may say “just lose weight” but it’s extremely hard to take the first step and stick with it. It could be caused by mental disorders or biology reasons. Not every fat person is fat just because they like eating.
Some people are just bigger cause of genetics. Theres more to it then food. Or calories
For example there some extremely healthy football players. But there just on the bigger side. Hey they hella strong asf. Some of em are even muscular. Strongest guys on earth arent bulging hollywood abs and muscles

as a gymbro myself i've met all kinda of people who either started fat or started skinny. me personally, I started skinny. I always thought it would be heard to put on muscle because It was super super difficult to put on weight. one day, I finally snapped. I decided to start bulking. That was 8 months ago. since then, my weight has gone up by 48, and my bench has gone up by 100. never say you cant do it. the time that it takers to complain should be the time used to better yourself

You addressed this perfectly. This issue applies to a lot of things that society tries to accept. They try to make things accepted like being fat, but in the process they either make no sense, contradict themselves, or are actually offending who they are trying to accept. Like I know that a lot of people who are in minorities don't like things like BHM or GPM because if makes them feel like they're not good enough on their own, and they need to be recognize and celebrate when with other in their same minority. from a guy who used to be thin, has gained weight over my college years bc of mental health stuff (childhood trauma, binge eating and drinking, anxiety and depression), but has been on a better overall health plan: even losing a few pounds will make you feel SO MUCH MORE self-confident. it really only takes like 20-30 mins every other day on a treadmill, and cutting one meal a day for like a month so that you start eating intuitively - what a GAME CHANGER. My sleep apnea and acid reflux have reduced dramatically, I have energy going up and down stairs now because I'm not as tired, I can tie my shoes again, and so much more.
If you think of it, high calorie human is just another way to be called fat, like, it doesn't change anything about the sentence, like whatcha tryin to do, get the 750 words in an essay
