Lyrics
stop them from shimmering away
on blank sidewalk glittering asphalt somewhere summer days
the wrong way kids were something more than friends
navigating a sprawl without end
Did you ever want to take bad advice
did you ever want to go and take it twice
do you remember when the world began to put up its thorny fence
right you are my friend
so what’s wrong with them
there go the wrong way kids
singing whoa oh whoa oh whoa oh ohhhh
singing whoa oh whoa oh whoa oh ohhhh
whoa oh whoa oh whoa oh ohhhh
and they call them the wrong way kids
The kids today are gone away petitioning the dust
with nobody to look up to because they're looking up to us
just misfit melancholy dregs gone lost in the mall
wanderers to nowhere at all
Did you ever want to take bad advice
did you ever want to go and take it twice
do you remember when the world began to put up its thorny fence
right you are my friend
so what’s wrong with them
there go the wrong way kids
singing whoa oh whoa oh whoa oh ohhhh
singing whoa oh whoa oh whoa oh ohhhh
whoa oh whoa oh whoa oh ohhhh
and they call them the wrong way kids

I think we can officially say that Bad Religion is the greatest Punk-Rock band in music history. Legends
probably, yeah. I can't think of another one.
Yes
yes
Yes
with huge distance from the 2nd
I'm 50 yrs old. This band has been the soundtrack of my life. Thank you so much for the music and memories. I fucking love you guys!!
“The wrong way kids were something more than friends”
This song makes me cry every time, especially the video. I’m so glad there are other wrong way kids out there and that we have a family. Punk saved me and helped me understand myself. I hope punk saved you guys too.
🫶 hope you're well
College Kid: "Old people can't rock out, they're too old."
Literal College Professor Greg: "Just watch me, punk."
prof greg : hold my board marker.. :D
This song puts a smile on my face every time
WhatEver_ Name_Works Same here brother, same here...😊
WhatEver_ Name_Works kinda makes me cry while I'm smiling.
Yes!!!
Me to bro!
@@Youngkillah1986 Same here :D
The best punk-rock band in History. I have being listening to BR since the 80´s.
Even though I dont know Greg Graffin (or any BR member) I feel like he's been a "father" figure to me, I grew up pretty much by myself since I was 13 after my mom passed away, and through all my teenage troubled years there was always Greg's voice through BR songs that helped me continue moving forward and decided to stay away from trouble and chase education, values and become a better person. I always say BR saved my life because its true. I am 33 now and been listening to them for over 20 years, every once in a while I come back to see this video because it brings so many memories & nostalgia, I hope they can rock for many more years to come. Cheers to everybody who enjoys BR.
You made me cry bro. For real.
@@nicolasgutierrez4131 Glad I can share this music with you brother.
Much love
32-year-old here and I know what you mean. I'm glad your music's been good to you and I'm glad you're moving in a positive direction that you want. Keep on keepin' on, yo.
@@josephschultz3301 cheers brother
I've gained new appreciation for this song now after watching this video. It an homage to themselves in a way, and an appreciation of all the musicians that made Bad Religion what it is. Hell, I smiled each time Bobby Schayer showed up. I'm still sad to see Wackerman go though.
Bad Religion, the best band ever.
Zachary Matthews I'm a metalhead and 3 punk bands Iike r bad religion penny-wise and sex pistols and social distortion
I don't know about "The Best", because that's a hard stamp. But "One of the Best"? That's just an easy and unconditional yes, my dude.
There's a ton of great bands out there, but few make me smile quite like Bad Religion. Good shit, yo.
5 years later, I'm 1 trillion percent with you. There might be more technically accomplished bands, bands that have tighter catalogues (I think we can agree there was a bit of a dark period for a little while in the early 2000s) but no band makes my heart swell with joy and want to get in the pit like Bad Religion.
(To be clear, "5 years later" is in relation to your comment...first time I saw them was 1998, closing in on 20 live shows since).
@@williamisner3033 OK that's 4 bands, but it is pretty fuckin' perfect that you named 4 instead of 3.
This is the band of my lifetime. Thank you for the music.
this almost made me cry......just amazing
I am one of those Wrong Way Kids. I am a school teaching and I have my masters degree. And I love this band with my whole heart. I don't know If would have survived high school without their music. Thank you so much Bad Religion and punk rock
@@EmoVesgoaAaaAAAAAAaaaaaaaAaaaaaaaaaaAAaaaaaaaaaañññ❤😮1
same.
Same here. Love you!!
saw their live concert in Jakarta. Dropped some tears watching them alive before my eyes... Been listening for almost 24 years, still damn good... Please come AGAIN to Jakarta!
when they concert in Jakarta I was in high school and don't have enough money to come their concert , sad :( but glad to see my fav. Band get better along side their age:) waiting next album in 2019
Still listening 2024. I didnt realize how good life was going to BR concerts while a youth
Musical tastes tend to come and go, but Bad Religion is always a permanent top 3 all time for me. This video is like watching punk rock history!
I'm a 51 year old wrong way kid. I'll be in ft Lauderdale Saturday watching bad religion live. 🤔
Bad Religion should be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
this song makes me shed tears of joy. both because it reminds me of my friends, and because the video just hows all the great years BR has had. lets hope they still have many to come!
I've known of Bad Religion for over a decade now but had never heard this song before. I wish I had heard it sooner, it's bad ass.
Bad religion is the soundtrack of my life, thx guys
This release is already 10 years old! Dude we don't stop aging but with Bad Religion we will always age well.
I been a fan since 1993 and this is one of their best songs, in the ranks with their greatest oldest stuff.
There's some people arguing about how Greg dress? Really? I mean, does your clothes make you more punk? The fuck guys. Punk rock it's in the heads and hearts of those who feel free enough to think by themselves. There shouldn't be any kind of acceptable casket.
Fuckers judge
punk is from the inside
The world is so fucked up in such a hilarious way.
Bad Religion Songs have lyrics so profound and meaningful that the majority of people/listeners (including me) will probably never even fully get the entire meaning of them, yet here we are having people say that the lead singer isn't punk because he doesn't dress like it.
Greg is punk as fuck... period
"Punk rock is not about wearing uniform....." I red that narrations on a compilation album consist new york dolls, sham 69, johnny thunder, etc...
Song Still Plays
this makes me so happy and almost makes me cry. in a way all of us are the "wrong way kids" thank you bad religion for everything 😝
Im a huge BR fan since 1983 i feel old and young.

Classic footage of Greg at the end. My two year old was dancing like crazy when I was watching this one. Well done, guys.
Imagine if everyone on this planet was rational & loved good music like this. Best band ever.
I really feel like this band is so underrated and under appreciated
How? One of the most popular punk bands ever....everyone I know has heard of them at least. Many punk bands are underrated and under appreciated, not sure how BR could qualify, hell I have even seen videos of them on MTV at a point.
MTV means shit, tbh, and I mean they're not conidered much punk comparing to other punk bands. Plus, MTV said Simple Plan was punk... So I really don't base my opinions or anything for that matter on those people...
True that
What are you talking about? Bad Religion is so overrated and popular, everyone's heard of them even my mom, rap and pop fans
@@BlackMariaeh, not in today’s age. Maybe it’s just my area but nobody in my hs and college knew them.
You know that time goes fast when it's 2019 and you still think this song is "new"....
Ferdirock damn, this is almost 10 years old
Dammmmmn that’s true
This band has a special place in my heart. Always will. Been listening over 15 years and never got tired. Hope they'll keep going on keeping the punk intelligent and melodic.
i am with you from the beginning! thank you for being at the open flair in esw
The best punk rock band in the whole fucking world!
Greets from Brazil!!
Damn, I love this fucking BAND !!!
*[Sees the montage of Bad Religion's years on the punk scene]*
Yeah... I'm crying... and no, it's not just because the song, dude.
Fucking _yes._
I love the opening riff. SO good
bring tears to my eyes
My band, My music. the beautiful and bedamned. we are the wrong way kids.
Bad Religion para SEMPRE!
The world is a better place having BR in it.
Saw them in Amsterdam last night, goosebumps everywhere when they played this one.
I envy you!!!
@@vincentalbertsungkono8436 i envy myself too
Llevo esa cruz como una marca en el corazón.
Una de las cosas mas bonitas que me ha pasado.
Bad Religion.
Saludos desde Monte Grande, Argentina!
I am 43 today and this is awesome thank my friend Marc for bringing this in my life made my teenage years a lot cooler
Wow this weird okay the singer was my professor I’d never thought he was a singer in rock band he always came off to me as a nerdy person this awesome. Dr graffin was a cool professor I miss that guy
This is how I remember you guys. Outhouse ks. You guys never forgot where you come from. Much respect... 👍🏻💚💨
Cheer's
One day you'll look back on this (pan to thousands of fans)... and be ashamed that your dad was a famous punk rocker #humblebrag
Bad Religion is is synonymous of my youth!!
Bought all the albums... Listen to them religiously (no pun inteneded)... Read the book... Even got the T-shirt... Hands down... Best band ever!!!
20+years of listening to these guys and i still cant get enough of it!!!!!!!! keep on rockin on allllll riiggghtt
THE BEST BAD RELIGION SONG EVER!!!!!
Probably the last Bad Religion mega awesome classic song
Seeing this old footage gives the song a whole new feeling. Congrats to Bad Religion for 30 years of changing lives and bringing the house down one venue at a time.
Five more years...!
Young Greg with his everywhere-poof-hair is adorable
This song gives me chills
I remember first listening to Bad Religion while playing THPS2 back when I was a little kid.
Me too. The school level was my favourite
Cyka Blyat cool profile name😂
Crazy Taxi was the game that brought Bad Religion to me. Yeah, literally my PS2 copy was the only that opened with "Them and Us" instead of "All I Want" by The Offspring.
Either way, I'm glad that game was what got me deep into Bad Religion and Offspring.
"I've changed a lot, ya know. And I don't think my life is ever gonna stay and I don't think anyone who's honest with themselves will say that theirs will either." Its from an interview recorded around the time of the "back to the known" EP
"... I don't think my life is ever gonna stagnate..."
tears in my eyes
the first song my son sang along to :)
What a moment!
#punkparents
RocksBoBo YEAH
Awesome
Ahaha! SAME HERE! =]
They are the Right Way Kids...
Brilliant.
My first BR show was Warped Tour 98, and I'm pretty sure they've got better every time I've seen them. Their show last November in SF was INCREDIBLE. These guys are masters and I hope they continue playing for a long time.
Bad Religion is my most favourite punk band of all time from now until forever and ever and ever ...!!! This video is wicked!!!
Dig the old "home video" feel to this. 32 years and still kickin' ass.
Simplesmente a melhor banda do mundo!!!!
You are the best!!!!! greetings from Ecuador, South America!!! BR rules!!!!!
Life really is so short, and yet you don’t come to that realization until you’ve wasted your youth, and you’re boring, and old.
Amazing music, then and now, and life-changing lyrics. thank you guys.
I love all the footage of them from over the years! Solid song too ❤️
I loved seenig Bobby Schayer, the best BR drumer in my opinion!
It brught back many great moments... it made me feel a little old
Thanks for playing Chico, California this past Sunday night. Awesome show!
BEST PIT EVER!!!
I really want to see these guys live. I love ther music, and I would be so happy to take some friends to go and see Bad Religion.
Just brought back many many memories........Thank you guys
Been listening to BR for 10 years, but this might be one of my favorite songs. It just hits home so hard.
Best Punk Rock band in all history of music for sure.
This video makes me feel a little old. I miss my teenage time back in the 90's...
No band has the staying power of this band. Long live Bad Religion.
The greatest band of all time.
Love the old footage. The best punk rock bad ever!
Mr. BRETT playing Guitar with his teeth is the best video clip of this whole video!
yeah this bring back the memories...what a nice vignette of the band!
As biologist Greg knows that nothing is lost, everything transforms
Magnificent.
Thank you for exiting Bad Religion. Epitaph has brought me diversity of thought for a majority of my life. God bless you lol
just listening to bad religion gets you a PHD in punk rock. This song is perfectly nostalgic. To the youngsters... go back to the beginning - It's all relevant. This is your favorite bands favorite band.
This is the most wholesome music video I've ever seen
i love bad religion. i wish i was old enough to have been at all of those shows, but i don''t see them stopping anytime soon, so i guess its okay.
There is indeed some light at the end of the tunnel. And you're part of that light; for me at least.
_A_ Bad Religion song may not be enough to make my life complete, but a bunch of 'em all-together have certainly helped me out whenever hard times hit.
Thanks for all the music all these years, yo.
Bad Religion is just epic for staying the same throughout their entire career, that is why people will always be a fan of them, and what they do! Keep punk rocking guys!!
I don't think this is cheesy. It's just sort of a recap on bad religions career
minus Into the Unknown and the Atlantic Years :p
What's your point? *****
Pretty sure recipe for hate was on epitaph
@@Guercinator Into the unknown is a misunderstood album, it is great, the difference of sounds is pretty huge but it's not a bad album though
@@danielraseraferreira9503 what I meant in my original comment is that the footage of this video kinda glosses over the Into the Unknown period and much of 94-2000. I agree that ItU is a great record
Bad Religion across the years, Legendary!!!.
Great video for my favorite song off of the new album. It reminds me of playing and listening to punk music in dirty clubs in high-school. More so it reminds me of how much fun it all was and why i still listen to punk.
I love all the old footage. Thanks.
I got to say that Bad Religion is really my religion.. They kick ass even after 10 to 2010, 2010 and whenever you want to see it.
CAN'T STOP SEEING IT !
They never cease to amaze!
This song always hits… relatable.
That intro riff. I see what you did there. World conquering
BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!
This video is my childhood 😭, I love this band.
Just saw them in Denver on the 15th of April. As usual they rocked the freakin show. Been a fan goin on 20yrs now. This song sounded great at that show.
I love everything about this song, video, and band. LONG LIVE BAD RELIGION
