The C240 revs like a dream and is so smooth, Though driving slowly, it lags, but happy been pushed hard. I got it with 75k on th clock and put another 75k on within 8 years. In that time: Repairs besides usual wear n tear- a small gearbox seal, all front struts, ac evaporator (8h labor 😢) , fuel pump, replaced a small spring in the central locking mech (diy), cleaned a MAF sensor. Bit of rust on roof repainted. Now powersteering is getting tired. Not bad for a old 22Y car with 150k miles on. Theres not much like like at as a wagon. Enjoy.
She's such a trooper, It has been a crazy month for her though, got hit-and-run side-swiped on top of accidentally hitting a big fat concrete slab covered by vines... Video coming soon
Very, very nice cars! The weak point, at last with the early ones, seemed to be electrical issues. It's good to hear yours is well sorted. I've toyed with the idea of picking up one of these used.
The face lift ones like mine usually have all the problems and gremlins sorted out! Mine has been smooth sailing and I’ve never seen the check engine light ever popped out on me! Knock on wood haha
Just got a 2003 c320 with 54k miles, it’s so nice and has held up so well, I stripped the clear coat of the headlights and repolished them, looks new, people definitely look at it which is crazy for a 20 year old car! It’s also fast
I had one, great car till 100k and the problems start! Electrical, head gaskets, rust and many other small issues. My car died and they wanted almost 3k to fix it! I traded it in on a Honda Civic and no problems! Best car I ever owned!
Barley adequate power? I guess you have different standards over the sea because in daily traffic my C180 wagon is fine. I have the same feelings about the transmissions and one more gear would be nice for higher speeds. The "spongy breaks" is kind of mercedes thing I guess. I have had mine w203 for a few years now and I know how to break to stop in a comfortable manner but some of my friends still sometimes get scared when I brake 😅 If not the rust problems these (check under the big plastic tailgate trim) these can be really nice cars if you don't need any of these new smartphone-on-wheels cars 😄
The power is perfect in the city! It’s the highway that scares me the most as a lot of the times, cars are going over 70-80mph which the c240 takes a good while to reach! The w204 brakes are pretty communicative so when I drove the c240, I thought I needed new pads 😆 turns out they were brand new! Yes the rubber sills around the back glass is slowly falling which apparently a common issue! I definitely make sure she’s clean to prevent rust!
Hi Uriel. Just bought a S203 C240 as well but it comes with fugly aftermarket rims. Do you know what model are the ones you have?... and dimensions? Thanks!
the one in this video is the 16" stock rims! it came when the facelift happened in 05! I have the 05 S203. In my later videos, I got a new set of rims from an old W210 sedan!
@@UrielArtsGarage I’m loving it so far have only drove it for 30 min total. I picked it up drove it home and took it to a shop on Wednesday, he over looked it and it had brand new tie rods and ball joints, body is very very clean inside and out. I’m looking at $900 in repairs to get it road legal ($600+labour brakes all around and $30 gas tank seal fix) so I bought the car for $3000 CAD and by the time I have everything for it I’m gonna be into it $4100-$4200 for a sick ride! It’s a sedan tho not the wagon like yours
Mine burns oil too but runs like a clock. My only problems with the car, no cupholders(srsly), ac sucks, needs a dipstick. Not a fan of the electronic oil measure.
Once in a while I get an error that my side mirror lights stopped working but I have a feeling it might just be some corrosion 😂 I’m at 170k miles, very solid, just do your best to do maintenance
@@Thadeep450 that's a bit sketchy! mine has been very smooth at 170k miles, I head these tend to need a new conductor unit in the gear box once in a while!
I have mine its a c240 with the E85 choice, 2.7 , come with shift, had a ticking noise but its not the water pump or the belt its just a really small ticking noise
I'm rocking 256,000+ miles in my 203 😊
Just reached 170k on mine!

Just picked up a c32 project but ive owned a few mi113 and m113k . But those engines are very reliable and not to hard to work on at all .
100% I am playing with the idea of getting a C55 as a project! c32 is also a quite fun project! goodluck!
@UrielArtsGarage C55 are reliable great car. I got c32 as project haven't got into yet. My sl55 already done no more modifications gets addicting.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review video ❤

@@ontarioaquatics9643 for 4k that is still a pretty solid deal! you can't find decent cars for under 4k these days! goodluck!
Is a 2.6 v6 not a 2.4
I bought an S203 a few weeks ago. 83k miles!
That’s fantastic! New video coming up soon catching up with maintenance!
It's 4wd ? never seen one in uk.

Same here hahaha, my new video is about getting stranded on the side of the highway because my ac compressor seized 🤣
207,000 still strong
Dude you got a hella nice car, this car will always have a special place in me heart
Same here! By far my most memorable car yet! Lots of travels and sentimental values! Planning on keeping her until the wheels fall off!
Soon as I clicked video , the car still looks classy stylish beautiful elegant.
Change the oil sooner. Seals on that old gem are just that.
Yes! I’m planning on replacing the valve cover gaskets and hoses soon!
How reliable is the A.C of this car? I wanna buy this type, but i leave where the weather is hot for like 10months in a year
My ac compressor actually recently got me stranded a few months ago, check out my recent video for it 😆
Love mine. W203 c280
bullet proof engines!
Cool video
Thank you!
Do you still have the car? I'm looking it a 2005 c240 4matic wagon.
Yes! It’s been the most reliable car I’ve ever owned the past year!
I got 233k on my 2002 c240 ride on!
Hmm I got at 70k miles on mu 240 unfortunately it jumps out of gear if I push it.. SRS warning light its a 2001 is it prone to more electrical issues

@@UrielArtsGarage on hard acceleration does your car ever jump out of gear? Mine will go into neural once below 20mph it will go back into gear again

350000 on mine
How do u maintain it have u changed anything from the engine?
I have a 2002 C320 and a 2016 C200. Hate W204 (owned one) and don’t like the fat arse of the W206.
As long as it has a naturally aspirated engine, I’m perfectly happy 😊
