This is too true. I had a female friend I was crushing on big time. I did everything I could to be around her and try to get her to like me. It wasn’t just for sex. I really liked this girl. She had a bf at the time I first got feelings for her so I kind of had an excuse to not make a move. The officer points out that his pants are missing, he can’t remember his name, he reeks of booze, he falls asleep in front of the officer, and says he can’t be driving “all swervee” because he’s been so much more wasted many times before & he’s an excellent driver when drinking after years of practice! 😂😂😂
After ALL that, he finally stumbles out of the vehicle, can’t stand without holding onto the car, pukes on his shoes, and finally admits, “it must’ve been that 3rd beer a few hours ago that messed with him…or maybe the 5th of vodka he was sipping before getting pulled over!

This is too true. I had a female friend I was crushing on big time. I did everything I could to be around her and try to get her to like me. It wasn’t just for sex. I really liked this girl. She had a bf at the time I first got feelings for her so I kind of had an excuse to not make a move. I would help her move, we’d go out and eat places, we’d go work out together, etc. but when her relationship was over, I waited to long and she was onto another guy within a month. I kept hoping for my shot and it never came. Years later, she’s married with two kids and I’m still her friend. Let that be a lesson.
Oh I would not overthink what you perceive as a "missed opportunity". The guy she ended up with "after a month" was already in the queue from before that. So if anything, you saved yourself a rejection. Women always have at least two backups at any given time, and I can assure you, you weren't on that list.
