Wow, what a beautiful boat! I loved hearing about all the improvements you've made. You are a lovely couple and I look forward to seeing more of your videos 🙂
Finally! a good look at your motorsailor, she has nice lines, very beefy and solid and probably the safest pleasure boat in a storm. I hope to join you in the Bahamas asap.
You guys are doing it right! Love the boat and what you have done with it. Very few cruisers have the boat, the knowledge and the attitude to really live off grid, I'm glad I found your channel. Fair winds and following seas...
Doesn’t matter the age gap, they’re both ADULTS, the key word is ADULTS!!! More power to you both, wish you’s both all the health, success, & happiness in the world. Your both living the dream, God Bless🙏🙏🙏 Safe travels❤️
When I watch your videos I am enchanted by your female mate, the long legged beauty your wife, William is where most of us wish we were, in the company of Iana the Queen of the ship! A very Good Life indeed! GB
I just watched your video for the first time. I didnt realize but your living the dream i didnt know i had. Bless you both and safe travels. From Seattle Wa
As an rv tech and boats and rv’s being similar in components and designs and do a lot of off grid builds I want to say I am impressed and a fan of what u guys did and the amount thinking and planning that went into the build I love it and I think and hope u guys have lots of fun and adventures and make alot of memories together on it
Hi, I have just been to the Bahamas on a beautiful boat /ship . Living it vicariously of course and have not travelled off the chair ! I was in Austria and Switzerland last night . Another UA-cam channel and yes I lived the journey vicariously! Later tonight will be watching Sailing Vet , based in Australia and sailing to various islands helping animals ! Watching quality videos and or also contributing monies direct ,should not be fround at ! Keep up the excellent work and quality content . Thankyou 🙂
This guy has the lifestyle I think men day dream about from time to time…. Instead I’m on my way to pickup hamburger buns and ketchup for my wife who was at the store 30 minutes before. 🤷🏻♂️
A man with so many skills I consider you a genius far above average, engineer, vessel captain, stainless steel welder, sand blaster, industrial painter, forklift operator, fitter, inventor among many other qualifications. Your wife also absorbed some skills, she surprised me with the details that were assembled inside the vessel. If you can answer, I would like to know how much you spent on the boat and how much more did you spend on renovating the vessel? What was the total work time for the boat to go into the water? I subscribed to the channel you are amazing!!!
Y’all are giving me and my wife of 33 years so much inspiration. I’m about to pull my little boat out and redo it for Racheal and I. Love the videos and we watch almost every morning over our coffee. So waking up to you two gives us a little push daily! Heehee ❤️
Remember when they're both of you started this project, super proud and envious of the wonderful job and detail that you both executed under the hot sun and rainy days. Now you guys are styling and comfortable, so happy for you guys enjoy and stay safe.
I always have several different types of anchors. Depending on the waters floor and the weather, not to mention if things are really rough, you can deploy multiple anchors simultaneously.
Hello and Welcome. I was always saying this when was young. Never wait for anything as we do not live with an expiration date. We never know if we leave the earth this second or when we are 91 (my Father’s age). I feel young when some of our followers label is as “kids”. So summary is do not wait. Capt w
You have an amazing husband there (someone had to say it) both of you are very lucky to be so happy. Its hilarious reading comments from jealous ppl because you guys just laugh at them 😂 perfect response 👍
That's a really nice boat, and very well equipped. You have to be a very capable person and good at so many things such as mechanics and electronics to do something as complicated as that.
well, i want a wahmen like yours who doesn't mind living on my sailboat and can enjoy each others company with little stress. nice to see you both together. i bet shes .....nice boat too...
Great boat! It seems this is a old house with great story. It has soul. There are tons of improvements, lot of different things. The engine room looks like a space station :) Thank you for sharing such part of your life. It was really interesting :)
Wow, what an incredible undertaking! The boat is beautiful, Congratulations to the both of you and Lana you are beautiful 🙌 Hats off to you as well William 🤙
@@DawnHunters you can't beat steal especially today the use of high carbon steel (corten) I've just built a corten clad house, fantastic. Very low maintenance.
I like that you are using eutectic coldplates - that can just be topped up if excess solar or other power available and or run longer when needing a total recharge
Loads of jealous haters here i see. Im a 57 year old glorified buttler (captain) on a big private sailing yacht. You two makes me move closer to change lifestyle. Wish you all good in life 🍻

Great video! Thank you! I'm currently building a 50ft fibreglass yacht. Im at the stage of electronics and what I have taken from your video is to have a screen in the galley/saloon showing depth and position etc! I'll never rely on my instruments 100% and always do other checks but I am going to add this feature of yours to my boat! Thanks again! Peace love and happiness ❤
I lived on a houseboat for 7 years. Only thing we had to deal with was the heat cold and water supply as it was up north. Summer was great winter not so much. These guys are hardcore and props to them. I did learn one thing. BOAT= Break Out Another Thousand
Very cool, comfortable and obviously safe motor sailboat. I’m not sure I’d call any motor sailing yacht self sufficient, because obviously you’re burning through a lot more fuel that has to be resupplied at port than a fiberglass sailboat. Still, all boats are a trade off depending on how you want to be able to live on them. There is no perfect boat, only the best boat for you.
Darryl You are correct but we have filled up 1.5 years ago. Still have over 1/2 in fuel onboard. When motor sailing the motor is at idle to match water speed over the prop to provide power between wind variations. Summary is we spend 90% time st anchor and the sun provides all the energy. Have spent more money on gas for the dingy in 12 months than anything other than food. Thank you for your comment Caot W and Iana
@@DawnHunters That is awesome. I was under the impression that you yachted primarily with engine power and the sails we just a couple of knots assistance?
U 2 are an amazing couple! Give each other 3 compliments each day and enjoy each day! Love your tattoos too! I am going to buy a steel or aluminum sailboat and catch up with your journey! Love 💗
I like that you have a swim step built in the back that is really smart one of my friends said before you ever buy a boat especially a sailboat see if you can get on it if you get thrown off it and if you can't then it's definitely not a vessel you want to buy
If the weather is going to be rough it's recommended that you should wear a harness attached to a lifeline so you're less likely to thrown overboard and it's a good idea to leave a rope tied to a cleat if you are swimming and don't have a swim step or leave a rope ladder hanging over the side to help you climb aboard, but if the weather was really bad you're not going to be able to climb back aboard if you went overboard, if you weren't knocked unconscious by hitting the water you might be stunned and by the time you realised where you were and got to the surface you would be quite a distance behind the Yacht or expedition vessel and would be relying on the other crew members to spot you and turn the vessel around and pick you up, there's no way you would be swimming fast enough to catch up with the vessel and if you're going out in a dinghy it's a good idea to wear a life jacket just in case a wave hit it wrong and capsized it, or threw you overboard but the dinghy's throttle is released when you let go so the dinghy isn't going very far away from you, sorry for the length of my reply but I hope this answers your question and why a swim step isn't going to help if you were thrown overboard
I just came for the ladie with the dragon tattoo tbh
