What i'm trying to say is that genetics play the biggest role here. Dude could as well lack in nutrients and still live very long, while other people stay fit and lead healthy lives but at 60 their bodies are already broken down and they often have some serious illnesses. There's probably a bigger chance for that in such an unhealthy country like the US.

Joe might be 80, bent over and using a bush crafted walking stick, but his mind is sharp as a tack and his eyes and ears are perfect so he just may be onto something with his herbal remedies. Like he mentioned, the Chinese are into herbal remedies and let's face it, they've been doing it for over 4,000 years. Who knows, without his plants, surroundings, stress-free lifestyle and commitment to life-long learning he may have been in a nursing home sitting in a wheelchair by 80. Good on him, living his dream which is more than most of us say or do.

For many they get burned out or stressed out living this new age culture out and just want to live closer to a basic life -
It can be done but you have to know a lot - I live in a rural area but I still go to town once a month or two months for groceries -
If you want to live real basic it doesn't cost much to live at all - if you have trees on land it's easy to cut wood and build things -
I've had electric bills at times that were never higher than $9 a month -
I just used a small chest fridge and fan in summer -
I'm ok with out air-condition - I still use a lot of wood for heat - but some electric heat -
For most they would think I live hard -

Edit: I want to say i recognize the modern medical industry is quite illustrious, hence if anyone who used that argument watched the video instead of looking for a reason to argue, you would have heard him say to Peter he would drive into town and use those services when needed. The point i was making is Joe represents what I think all "hard working Americans" are trying to get closer to instead of farther away from. Yes the man may have a website and take advantage of the modern amenities where it pays dividends to do so, but i dont personally believe that takes away for what this man represents and what hes trying to garner in his community, along with others.
I could be wrong, but i personally think a much healthier, forward moving thinking way to go in the future are people trying to get back to this and worrying about how we tackle not having "modern amenities" as accessible as it is today vs people looking for ways to not like there fellow neighbor and make there team win in there world-view.
Appreciate everyone who understood what i was going for as i was not intending to incite a debate. Feel free to disagree but personal attacks only discredit your credibility . Food for thought

We established an intentional comunity called Chimes in 1974. In Pope county Arkansas It was very sucessful and the last time I checked they were still thriving. I am happy about that. We were very energised by the land. I aquired a section of land. ( 640 acres) and everyone got a 20 acre or 40 acre plot. It was simular to this camp. Just larger with prople gathered for their skills we determined we would need. I've enjoyed this video. My body is old and failing. Crew-7 went out there yesterday. We're discovering quantum mechanics, gravitional waves, higgs bozons, coonecting people all over the world and making art that the past couldn't understand, but we understand the art from the past.
I think the world have a really dark side, but that's just part of the story!

This man is a prime example of why we shouldn’t judge someone without getting to know them first. At a glance you may think he’s homeless, lost, etc., but he is far from that. He’s an intellect. He comes from academia and has a wealth of knowledge, experience, and wisdom. What a gem. Rest in peace, Sir. We need more people like you on this earth.

Man an hour of solid conversation with him must be packed with knowledge and wisdom. You’re blessed to have a chance to meet him the flesh. God bless his soul.
Sending love from the Philippines 🇵🇭

I followed Joe on UA-cam for several years. I loved the whole Mountain Gardens project. He totally lost me when not only he himself got jabbed, but he also insisted that anyone who wanted to visit his place also get the jab. “Extension of Mother Earth” my ass!

Or a paid actor, to convince the American middle classes to just go live in the forrest and sell their properties in the big city, so the Chinese can all move in like they do in California and New York. Seriously, it nice to live in nature.

Allow me to introduce to you a cool new concept for the latrine, a urinal made out of tree moss. This is my life's work.
