I've seen them sold at Walmart before several years back but not sure why they stop selling them at Walmart. They're good for light to moderate fishing but you might want to upgrade to at least a stradic if you're planning on fishing more often. Stradics are smoother and 5-7 times more rigid. Have fun out there.
I bought a Shimano Miravel for $129. Very happy with it. Got it on a 7' Ugly Stik Tiger and it casts a mile. But I've also got a Pflueger President I bought for $70 and it also casts a mile. I love both reels, but I think if I closed my eyes, I couldn't tell the difference.
I gifted a relative a Sedona FI in a combo set up. I believe it's a 4000 series. I received a text stating he can't figure out how to disable the anti-reverse. I've searched for owner manuals on line without success. No way would Shimano make a spinning reel that you can't reel backwards, right?
I’ve found the same problem, I don’t think there is reverse on this reel after much research. Maybe a modern thing coming from Shimano? I don’t like jt
I own a 1000 sedona for my ultralight setup. when i am bored i strap on bass lures and handles it just fine! I caught a 5 pound bass with the little guy, its amazing!!!!! btw really good video, Is it worth sizing up to a 3-4000 size??
@CutterGuard so far so good caught a couple of bull red's and black drums with it. We also use the daiwa bg in an 8000 size which is a step up in price at 130 I think
You could call it a budget reel, but also at $100 I don’t understand how’s that a budget reel? That’s quite a lot of money and with a good rod that makes for a good setup.
@@joshualangheight8491 First off this is a $75 reel. If you want to break it down by dollars under $100 is budget. Between $100- $200 is the value range, $200-$300 is the Pro Tournament Angler Range, $300-$400 is the high end range, $400-$500 is the tackle enthusiast range, and $500+ is the bougie range. Obviously these values aren't set in stone, but to say $100 is not budget is just incorrect when you consider the amount of rods and reels above that price range.
Freshwater reels are absolute garbage. Used this exact reel once saltwater fishing 7 years ago while being new to fishing broke after one use. But thanks for telling your viewers for BASS fishing only lol you should've spent a lil bit more on a saltwater reel and have the best of both worlds brother.
The best reel for the money hands down! I just retired my 2500 after 20 years of fresh and saltwater use.

Both are very quality reels, I also own a President and I love it. I would prefer Shimano but both are very good brands.
I just bought a 4000 and a 8000 in Australia, both for $80. Amazing stuff
i have the 2500 which i use for inshore seabass and for jigging amberjacks offshore, hands down definitely the best reel for the price, 100%
Great to hear you like it!
Got a 19 Stradic 4000XG for $120 w/c I think is also a good deal.
That is a really good deal, solid reel!
I just bought the 2500HG off eBay brand new sealed in the box for $55. Fed Ex just got here.
I hope you enjoy it!
What size should I get for trout fishing?

It’s definitely a great reel especially for those who don’t wanna break the bank
hello sir, any chances on coparison video with sedona fi vs sedona fj vs kastking sharky 3 in the future?
Hi Jack...from Italy.I agree with you.
Awesome to see viewers from all over! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!!!!@@CutterGuard
New model is the FJ- big upgrades in it
Would you say it’s better?
I have the 4000 and caught some nice big channel cats. The price point was a plus
Awesome!
I paid 19 dollars on clearance. Awesome reel.
Great deal!
I got a few better deals this year. A Shimano nasci 2500 for $73 and a Shimano miravel 3000 for $93 on Amazon
why not the 2023 version
which of the two sedona is better? fi or fj?
I prefer the FI
@@CutterGuardwhat is the difference between them?
Difference in exact specifications such as different gear ratios and different sizes that they can come in
This reel pairs very well with a Sam Heaton ultra sensitive for crappy fishing. The crappy are scared when you break them out. 😂
I love Crappie!
Hi, does it have instant anti-reverse?
Yes it does
Whats the difference between FI and FJ
Different models with price ranges, FI is better in my opinion

Awesome! Hmm I would say you don’t need to upgrade that much, but it’s a great reel! Hope you continue to enjoy yours!
Is this an FJ or FL?
FL
That’s wsp
Agreed this is a great reel
What about 23 sedona?
I would highly recommend that!
Sedona 8000 how much braid capacity plz tell
50 Lb 265 Yards
I think the mirvale is better
We have one of the bigger ones for red fish
How do yall like it?
@CutterGuard so far so good caught a couple of bull red's and black drums with it. We also use the daiwa bg in an 8000 size which is a step up in price at 130 I think
What rupees cinema machine❤️❤️
The con is there is no lever for reverse
True it’s an unfortunate downside, surprising from Shimano
U meant my best lol..decent budget reel
Best for the value….lol

Maybe he doesn’t saltwater fish
Hard to saltwater fish when you live in a landlocked state
You know why it broke after one use in saltwater? Because it's a freshwater reel buddy. Get a grip Chuck
