I’m using the new Shimano 22 Sahara 2000S, it’s very nice and I like it a lot, I also have the Sedona 500 for my daughter to use it been great no complaints
I've got a 4000 SEDONA FI and it's a tank...over 10 ounces before even adding line.
The drag isn't too bad though it's actually decent and I agree they do hold up even in saltwater if you take care of them.
However,a very noticeable difference in weight compared to my Vanfords.
Looks like the new Miravel will be much lighter in that more affordable price range.
Really looking forward to trying out a Miravel at the end of October.
Absolutely, the Miravel is the entry level version of Vanford and you will love it!
I mean 10oz is crazy light still. The BG 5000 and the fierce 6000 is all over 22oz
Bought a C3000HG put a bearing in handle line roller bearing and extra bearing on pinion shaft for Xship and it run smooth
Sedona c5000xg is powerfull and reliable, last month i has got 3kg threadfins fish on carita beach, indonesia
And also shimano alivio 10000 was reliable for handling a big fish
Really great products 😊
Own a Sedona over 15 years old and I always take it along on fishing trips in case my stradic or vanford quit on me....hasn't happened 😁
holy crap! 500-8000! insane
that clears a bunch for me! thanks
Hello Joe I Fish East Coast waters for flounder and striped bass and Tog is the Sedona a good real for that kite fishing
Love mine no complaints
great info. do you know the size in MM to order if I wanted to put a power handle on my C3000 HG FI . I can find the type of knob but know exAct info on what size is the handle assembly where it connects to the reel
Unfortunately I do not have access to specs like that. Your best bet is to contact the Shimano reel repair center for your area and ask them. The 3000 power handle (tee handle) will fit the 2500 no problem but I’m not sure if the thread changes on the 4000 and 5000
Does it have a screw in handle?
Mine stinks, hard to close bail, the bail hits handle, handle loose. Shall I go on?
Hate hearing anyone have problems. Have you contacted Shimano service?
@@JPDeRoseOutdoors No, just thought it is what it is. I have four baitcasters that are super.
@@CDSilverado I would reach out bud. They are awesome to deal with and May be able to help. US or Canada? Or elsewhere?
Have you found a solution to this? both my sienna's did this too after a year of fishing with them. I have tried changing the bail spring, shimmying bail spring, greasing them, nothing seems to work.
I probably need to use a thread locker and just put up with the rest. I have caught a lot of Bass on it.
I have the Sedona 1000 and was wondering if anybody knows if I can use it for sabiki rig/ baitfish fishing in salt water….will it hurt the reel? If anyone knows please let me know
Salt will hurt any reel if they are not properly cared for and properly rinsed each time they are used. Don’t spray it hard with water as that drives salt into the open areas. Light rain style water works best. Also, a 1000 might be a bit light on drag depending what you are using the sabiki for. If you are catching blue runners and bigger baits go to the 2500.
Is it also salt water rated?
Not designed for Saltwater but if you take good care and proper maintenance it will do fine.
this reel is water resistant or not ?
It does not have any extra water resistance like core protect or X protect
which the best xt,sp, hd, fi, fe?
For our market, the North American market, the FI is the most advanced. Typically the most current model has the newest technologies in it
Over the moon my FJ4000 has anti-reverse .
shared to 613BASS'N 🤘😎
