I've had Artlist for several years at $199 a year and it appears that the music I downloaded back when the license was a "forever license" are now under the new license where I can't use them without a current subscription. So much for the forever license. Feels like a bait and switch. The forever license was the only reason I signed up for Artlist to begin with, I renewed my yearly subscription last July before the license change even took place in November so I couldn't change anything. I feel like they should honor that forever license promise for anything downloaded before Nov. 2022, but it doesn't look like that's the case. I love the music they have, so this is frustrating. UPDATE: I talked with them more and since my subscriptions were purchased prior to the change, they're letting me continue to use my downloaded music based on the original license agreement. If I sign up for a new subscription, any new downloaded music will be subject to the new terms (no forever license).
I'm also running into the problem of some of the songs I downloaded a while ago on Artlist are getting copyright claimed by Triple Scoop Music now because the artist moved their music from Artlist to Triple Scoop and the Triple Scoop systems have now been flagging my content on Pinterest as their music even though I originally downloaded it from Artlist a couple years back. Artlist is working on getting Triple Scoop to clear the copyright claims from my account. But my biggest frustration is that when I went back to my downloads list to get the license for the music in question to send to the Pinterest copyright dispute team, the old license for those songs are not even available for me to download to send. I have downloaded tons of music, I didn't download every license for each one. Hopefully Artlist can duke it out with Triple Scoop and I can get my audio back on those Pinterest videos since I paid for the music.
I have had the exact same issues on other social platforms. Example - Facebook and Instagram muting music in completed projects. Artlist is a gamble I would not recommend anyone taking if you are creating content for paid clients. You do not want to see the music tracks you added to client projects being blocked when they upload to their social channels.
You will see a lot of the big UA-camrs like Peter McKinnon and Matti Hapaajio now promoting Artlist. They havent a f**king clue. They are just in it for the money now.

Hello, did Artlist fix your copyright issue on Pinterest with Triple Scoop?
I also scared about UA-cam copyright. If the artist from Artlist move to another platform, than they can send copyright claim to my UA-cam channel, even I purchased license on Artlist before??
Seems like all these services are running shams. Even PretzelRocks says their music is YT Safe and they get so many strikes judging from their Discord channel

what the heck is Triple scoopp
I had an artlist subscription of max social for 60 a month. Now they cancelled that option and are forcing you to pay 450 upfront for max. The only monthly options are now music and sfx or footage and templates.
They no longer offer you a monthly package for all assets thats has really turned me off.

Tommy thank you for the great videos! You make the life of a Sundance style indie film-maker so much easier. Artlist just has so much high quality music and clips and the price has gone up but its still very good.
But now it’s not forever license right ? Then I’ll stay at Epidemic sounds or still hug UA-cam library .

Epidemic Sound has a super dope feature where you upload a video and it uses ai to find the perfect song for pacing.

I've been using Artlist since 2022 and yes, there have been a lot of changes for the worse.
In contact with customer service they say that NOTHING HAS CHANGED. My opinion as an editor and former client?

You can add anything you want to CapCut. It's just an editor.
So in conclusion...it became much more expensive. I was a customer and in that time I downloaded a lot of music and sounds. I think the future will be ai generated music, so every song will be unique and personal.
If all music becomes ai generated, it wouldn't be unique or personal

good points but no one has ever had a problem and my users A+ viral guys. Get artlist and backup with distro kid but most of the Artlist music are from talented indie artist and none of them ever file afrivilous copy strike?!

What ? I hope it did not change for the worst, just renewed my subscription. Their license policy was why I use them in case I have to use after I am no longer a member.
I wish Artlist had stems like other sites but for now I use Neural Mix Por to kind of separate what I need from a song. I spend hours and hours a week checking what "new" music there is but they actually do not hardly ever update that much.. but still worth it I guess.

@@Eyeofkamau That really makes no sense, bc as everyone knows Instagram videos are pretty much up for ever, I imagine if you use the song when you were a subscriber it will be OK, what they don't want is people downloading a ton of songs and using those songs in the future when they are no longer a member.
@@ekphotography I’m just telling you what they told me. Yes, Previous videos that have already been scanned and cleared aren’t an issue. It’s new videos uploaded when you aren’t a member with old songs you download. What they didn’t want was people downloading tons of stuff in a short period then unsubscribing and exploiting the terms. But I was a member for a year, I should be able to use my stuff still. Anyway, nothing I can do

Nice job. It makes sense now that Artlist is mainstream that they would normalize the license. The convenience and need to change up things from video to video makes the use case for reusing old music limited.
So let's say I quit doing UA-cam forever but I want to leave my videos up forever.. so I cancel my subscription for art Am I legally okay to leave All those videos up forever and never subscribe again if I don't do good on UA-cam?

I'm still a little confused... so hypothetically, if I got a subscription, made a video with some content from artlist that is indeed copyrighted like music from big artists and content from other creators that i use in a video, tagged in all the licensed stuff on my video, post it, and then like some time later got rid of a subscription to artlist, will my old video I already posted during my subscription be covered and safe forever, with no copyright flags or claims on my video?
You will be safe from copyright strikes from artlist but you need to make sure you are allowed to use the other content in your videos too if you are using clips from other creators.
Just a way to get you to subscribe forever. If you have a video that is doing well you’re screwed. Goodbye Artlist!

first off learn to make your own music with fl studios and many other programs or learn on keyboard
next make friends in other citys and you do the same film clips from your citys and things you like skys or whats ever and send them to back and forward
and you can record your own sounds with a recorder
and make your own web page thats not on youtube more freedom
