+larsheuker Thats one of the Ibanez premium 25th anniversary guitars they released a couple of years ago. They did an awesome job with those guitars. I played one in a store and it felt great. Usually a guitar on the wall won't be set up well but this one was awesome. It had really low action and the board felt amazing. I never got one because its hard to come up with a grand on short notice and I already own 3 Ibanez guitars one being a premium. Those things are totally worth buying though even if you hate the loud paint jobs. Just get it refinished down the road and change the pickups (though the Dimarzio IBZ's aren't bad Pups at all) . Anything Ibanez makes that is in their low high end to their highest end products are fucking amazing. Even their mid range stuff is really good.

The one time I went to see COB was in Nashville back in the early 2000s. They canceled the show literally minutes before they went on stage because Alexi overdosed and was rushed to the hospital. I was shocked and saddened that my only chance to see them was canceled because of that. I don't know if that was a one time thing or a problem he had been dealing with. I can personally attest to how devastating addiction can be. But I've never heard anywhere else of him having an addiction problem other than that one night. When I heard he passed I wondered if that was related or not. But honestly it doesn't matter. He inspired millions and was a God when his guitar was on his hands. I respect that man and will always appreciate what he gave us. Glad I was alive on this earth at the same time as him. I learned how to sweep on guitar because of him.

Why do they have to complain about every single fuck instead of just enjoying it or is it really that difficult to click on a video 'they' like ?

Diana Majalahti I know right? It’s not as if there were 100 other guitarists. Oh wait 😂😂
People say ‘it should’ve been more complex, more melodies’ and suchforth. It’s 100 guitarists! (Technically 101 if you include Alexi). How in the hell do you think they’d all be able to pull something more complex off, let alone what they did pull off in the end result. Again, for people who need to properly take it in, 100 guitarists. Try getting that many to communicate together like this, good luck. Props to Alexi.

one thing i can say about this, is that when it came to the performance and selection process, there was too many lead players....and old drill sergeant of mine called it "too many chiefs and not enough indians"
all of these seemingly awesome performances were competing to shine from the group and only drowned each other out.

Hmmm I liked it, but I think they could have done a really awesome song quite better than this.
I was expecting something similar to an orchestra, with a lot of diferent melodies made by all those guitars, something more than a lot of guitars playing the same thing.
Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but... There are 100 guitarist... That's less than the 30% they could have made.

I get your point but like Alexi said at the beginning, he couldn't make it too challenging, because it would have been just too messed up with all the guitars out there. For me it was already a little bit hard to figure out who plays what exactly so god knows what would have happened if there were more :P
But I get your point also!

Chemx Berbel Same thing, I expected much more harmonizing.. I'm a bit disappointed. But still, I got some goosebumps.

Chemx Berbel Same here. They could have done it easily tbh. Like group 20 by 20 by 20 guitarists, each assigned to their part of rhythm, harmonies and lead and what not. Put them in a group of five and there you have it, a really powerful melodic orchestra at your hand.

+Chemx Berbel i think the point was those huge chords played at the same time, saw this live and 100 amps actually sounded something really different than usual

Damn how great when after a long time of information detox because of work, family and so on.. return to viewing the content in which you cooked the small jerk in his youth.. and feel like you're back in the family..homeward)
To see the pink lettering Dimmu Borgir.. read the comments in the style of "оn 100 guitarists, one bass player".. how heartfelt..
    P.S. ..Alexi lost weight..))

Even though it was 90-odd guitars playing the same thing and the leading guys playing the leads, imagine how it would've felt to actually be there being hit by a wall built by 100 guitars! I wish I'd have been there to see it with my own eyes, it probably isn't the same on my phone :P

Baffling that there is no DI-recording of the event. One of kind thing nobody thought about preserving it in quality, really?
