Hes lost a lot of weight, but I talked to him about it. He had a very bad injury last year and that affected him a lot. Hes doing better now, and hes healthier than when he was drinking.
I just straight up adored the work that Alexi and Roope did. I play guitar and the pair of them were/are incredibly inspirational. Its so sad what has happened to Alexi and become of poor Roope. I cant speak on the arguments between the band on the division of money... I feel like Alexi did deserve more as he was the face, voice and screaming guitar lines of Bodom and was a creative powerhouse... But their keyboard player and drummer were amazing too and the bassist was an original founding member i believe. Im in my 30s now. I go to AA twice a week and have been sober 7 years. I have a wife and kids and had to give up on the dreams of metal stardom a while ago as it would have killed me, not that i was much good. I meet so many people now on the path alexi was walking, on the way to a horrible end. I wish dearly that alcohol could be seen for the horrendous drug that it is and not be socially glamorised. I cant imagine what his life would have looked like without drink, but it would have been a lot better. I miss you Alexi. I dont miss "wildchild". i miss the kid who was a classically trained musician, who spent thousands of hours studying his passion, so he could make it his own and put together a fantastic band with equally talented friends. I will always think of you as the guy in the "Four Seasons" video with Roope. That blew my mind like i cannot describe. Youre a hero. You cant make someone get better if they dont want to themselves. I wish others the strength to find a reason to recover before they walk too far down this path.
Throwing you the horns, from one " Friend of Bill's" to another. It does strike a chord. Next month will be 15 years, I am a few months younger than Alexi. 15 years since I felt that overwhelming shame and destruction.
That music video shooting scene. Yeah, I was there! It was a fuckin blast! After it was over we had the chance to take a pic w the band, get some autographs and talk shit w the guys. Fun times!

Yes he was starting to look like mick Mars. Rip.
Rest in peace Alexi. We have your music to remember you.
I got a tattoo with the image of Alexi laiho, because his music made a big impression on me, even in my youth. And I'm a grown man.your music will live forever...
Man, amazing fretless bass melody in the end. I always wished COB would expend more on their bass arrangements.
That melody is at the end of the song Hexed.
@@EdHandal god knows that but thank you.
Never known that bass can be such an melodic thing.
@@xxxSpite1xxx Maybe you will like Church of Dementia, made sure some of the bass has their melodic contributions despite keeping the tempo.
@@MortFantome I will give it a try! But just now i discover the new album of Sepultura. And my goodness, its better than ever.
I listened to this album twice today, I felt it could've been uneasy for the group releasing the lyrics.
thanks CoB for the good times this year: 2023
could become my most played album
Weird seeing Alexi playing a Les Paul shaped guitar
DecimasoN right? That shape sucks ass
@Joe Sudz His brand is ESP...
@Joe Sudz lmao Swedish.. Finnish.. all the same XD
Alexi, such a musical genius... May you rest in peace forever.
Note to self....never piss off a Finn while driving.
Beautiful 🖤🖤🔥Thank you so much for this video.. My fav band 4ever 🤘🇫🇮✌️💓
Are you finnish?
My most fav too 🤘
Alexi on the way into heaven overtaking gandhi : F**king kidding me ! this f**king guy. RIP
Thank you for giving me a laugh. This is a great way to picture him on the other side 😂
So painful seeing him here, knowing he'd be gone in under two years. Rest in peace, Wildchild.
Rest in peace Wildchild, your music will be with us forever.
RIP I always watched his recommended videos huge inspiration legend glad i learned about him
thanks for sharing loved every minute i love when hes driving and says are you kidding me lol good to see him laughing seems like alot of weight was taken off his shoulders now he has Daniel to riff with its a really good hexed i love the songs alot of changes slower songs even he plays a different shaped guitar which is a surprize COB forever but yes i like the older stuff and other bands he was in i guess whatever he touches is gold lol
Hes lost a lot of weight, but I talked to him about it. He had a very bad injury last year and that affected him a lot. Hes doing better now, and hes healthier than when he was drinking.
Your are kiddin me.. and then pedal to the metal..
Fun times!
RIP Legend. I remember discovering Follow The Reaper in high school, Got to see the band 3 times in the US. Will be surely missed. :(
Just seen you guys for the third time last week. always we come to see you near ohio. hairs a little greyer but you always play harder and better each and every time.
thank you for coming again
I was a fairly late arrival as a fan.
I'm not exactly sure what tour it was,but I believe they opened for LOG, Laid To Rest tour. I heard a cpl songs prior maybe, jst to gt a good idea of what they wr about.
Thought ok, kinda cool, but wasn't all that impressed. Then I saw them live...Alexi and the boyz had a damn good night that night. And I was 4ever hooked. I musta gone home from that night n listened to nothing but COB for months to try and catch up on what I was missing.
I'll nvr forget it. 4ever a fan.
RIP Alexi miss you dude
Hexed is in my top 3 albums of 2019 \m/\m/
Me too, and I didn't even know about Bodom until this year.
So glad u uploaded this!
That rhythm guitar tone sounds fucking rad!!!!!! Rest in peace, Alexi. You inspired me!
I was a Bodomchild from my teenage years and on. I was there when they recorded the Stockholm Knockout DVD. Alexi deserved a longer life. I miss him and the band.
2:18 Relapse (The Nature of My Crime)
My favorite on the new album!
I have just discovered recently COB. And its very sad that Alexi is not with us anymore. Very sad also that I didnt have chance to see them live. Greetings from Norway
9:52 thought there's an old woman standing in the background. boy, time flies
8:33 Why is there a pipe spewing continuous flame mounted near the ceiling?
this is just not for real, man!))
@Коля Пивоваров так-то да)
The guy at 9:13 looking at Alexi´s guitar, thinking "where is the button to turn on the 'do-magical-stuff'-function of this thing?" :D
Rock in peace, Allu
A fucking year passed and I still can't believe it. Maybe I never will.
RIP Wild Child 🖤
Man he drives like my girlfriend, slightly leaned forward and yelling at others 😅
Like my grandma
@@stoprightmeowww Haha yes!! With the windscreen wipers on at 12:30!
Man your girlfriend must have more balls than you. He is driving perfect. If some motherfucker drive like an idiot infront of you, and you are recording and live at the same time, and trying to focus on album you are working on, aren't you gonna swear too? Just asking.
@@arieswildchild - recording anything while driving is sign of being careless idiot, not good driver.
Stupid comment ever
I so enjoyed watching this! The CD is absolute greatness. 🖤🤘🏻
This was awesome video !! didn't want it to end thank you.
Felt exactly the same.

"I remember this shit from school......I have no idea why I'm carrying it."
