Whether they meant to or not, COB did something very interesting with this performance. The Downfall riff, when played alongside classic riffs from the likes of Dio and Crue, is right at home among heavy metal's greatest. It is one of the defining metal riffs of this generation, carrying the torch from the classics of decades past, and proving that with Downfall COB have not only established one of the greatest metal songs ever, but established themselves as one of the great artists of our time.
