I understand about the nails…that’s the main reason I dont have frequent videos on my channel. A lot of the ones I have where i did not do my nails look terrible lol And I did get the comments about my nails or I would get an email or a FB message telling me I should make sure my nails are done. 😂😂😂❤
I know, Rosa. I have to do them now. I tried everything and ruined my nails. I’m back to normal polish but found a great top coat that can be applied on wet polish but dries FAST. IT’s called Seche Vive Instant Gel Effect Top Coat. I can do my nails FAST. 😘
Hi Mrs Donna, In another comment, I mentioned that "canes" are not my forte as I have difficulty understanding the construction behind the scenes! 😊 You will slowly slowly convince me how to catch that construction. Your honesty is so much appreciated!! Indeed, the first cane doesn't look nice 😊 The shadow does compete the leaf and it doesn't look elegant. The second cane is great! But the Oscar goes to the white leaf with the black background! ❤️
I think so I remember it had a little green on it. Either way I would love to see a tutorial on how you make rings. I’m looking forward to the face class you have soon on Substack. I think I was one of your first supporters
Pretty amazing. Thank you❣️ In this lesson I learned that it's important to understand the properties of the clay and how to work with them. It's quite a workout. Appreciate the ergonomic tips.
Donna, another fantastic and informative teaching video. You are always such a wonderful way of explaining and showing and demonstrating the process. Thank you so much.❤❤
A feather with attitude Donna.. love it. Btw viewers who get distracted by your nails are beyond ridiculous. Ignore and thank you for your early bird tutorial 🙏🏽
That is a sweet little feather❣️ I appreciate you taking the time to walk us through a methodical reducing of a cane. I can see that I haven’t been patient enough with the clay to ensure all of it is moving together. Thank you for this even though it took more than 20 minutes, it was really helpful 🖤🤍🩵
I love the chatter during standard processes haha - made me smirk with the commentary on having to have your nails done before the video. It's understandable and us people are in fact quite distractible! Wonderful video so far - followed the basketweave video to great success last night. Thanks so much for the time spent on tutorials they are absolutely fantastic!
By the way it's not that I think anyone needs their nails done, but opening yourself up to the general public's commentary leads to, well, comments on the focus of your video - clay and hands!
I really appreciate that you show something you made that you think isn't great...even though I think your "ugly" beads are cool. Your nails go great with your feathers.
OMG i soo love watching your videos, having a chuckle with *how can i put it* the way you say some words . Your commentary is never dull lol and atm i am living my love of colour, canes and polymer clay craft thru you. *as i have so many other crafts i am into that hubby would go nuts if i ended up wanting to do another lol*
yes it is in one of your beautiful book, the very first I bought when you published and I made this cane so much times( but more colorful) I love this one, thank you so much🤍
What a beautiful feather D 😊 💜 thank you so very much for the tute xx please could I ask if little Oscar can be used to condition clay in the first instance? I have trouble with my hands 💜🥰💜
Yes, Tracey, you can chop up the clay into pieces 1/4” squares. Add some liquid clay softener. Process into small bits then pour it out and form a loose block. Flatten with your rod and fold several tomes to get all of it to stick together. Then roll, fold and roll thru pasta machine until it’s conditioned! Lots of folding and rolling! ❤️
I have learned all much from you as far as techniques and different ideas. But I have to know dod you make that ring and if you did is there a tutorial?
Donna, maybe you need a deeper chair to accomodate kitty. Because, we know our kitties must be served. Besides when our kitties want to be with us that's quite a compliment. ❣️
I LOVE these longer videos! Thank you so much for making them ❤ Also, your nails are fine, painted or not you are perfect the way you are!
Thank you so much!!❤️
Donna, please don’t change anything- including your nails. You are perfect as you are. Xxx
Thank you, Vee!❤️

So happy to help! Yes, patience is important here. Any hardness will destroy some of your cane, yup. ❤️
Wow! I’m new to clay and I have a whole new appreciation for canes after watching this. Thank you! Love watching you create.

I do need a bigger chair or a smaller kitty or behind! I guess the bigger chair is the way to go! Hugs, D
Oh Donna I do know how to get ur shadow if u wanna know
❤️
Take a permanent marker and mark 4 corners around your filming area and then X in middle where you want to keep your hands.
I should definitely do that, Rebecca! Thanks! D
Of course you can’t move the cat! Anyone owned by a cat knows that.
My boy is so gorgeous, everyone says “she’s so beautiful”. I said it myself !!! ❤️
