@@kasp3rdmax777 I pose to you a scenario: you take your laptop to the Genius Bar because it has a screen malfunction. they identify the problem as water damage and their solution to you is to replace the 1500$ logic board and screen components, when in all reality the only issue is a bent pin. this often is not a simple mistake, but purposeful. There’s tons of documented cases similar to this if you wanna do your research, Louis Rossman has some good videos on it and Linus tech tips had a pretty terrible experience with them as well.

Brand twitter is almost as sweaty as verified youtube commenters.
Most of the time they're just UA-camrs watching and commenting on another person's vid. Even the sweaty ones are mostly people who are terminally online, or they're botting. But most prolific verified UA-cam commenters don't even make content. Like, the most well known commenters like JustinY and Just Some Guy Without A Mustache, don't even make content to promote. On the other hand, brand Twitter exists exclusively to create an image that allows them to sell more of whatever they're offering. Anything and everything any branded Twitter account does is to make money, that's the sweatiest thing ever imo.

I used to work at an American Apparel and for a big clearance sale they gave us shirts to wear on the floor that read “Ask me to take it all off” and most of our sales floor employees were women. it was a case of trying to be “too clever” as atrioc said and it was extremely cringe. I think I still have the shirt somewhere
In a focus group test, when you have to tell the participants to keep reading after they are offended, you probably should just cancel the campaign there.

I feel like the burger king tweet would not have been half as bad if they just included the punchline in the main tweet, so it can't be taken out of context so easily. It would still have been a little edgy and poor taste to some, but not as terrible ^^

His chair is knocked over, so his father might have heard the son malding and is now rhetorically asking him if he's winning to be an asshole.
The kid could just be taking a calm break when the father walks in, and so he asks him if he's winning in a #wholesome moment. Which is also pretty funny.

That Burger King tweet about women is possibly my favorite tweet of all time, just on account of how absurd it is that a brand actually tweeted that. I think, me, like 96% of people looked at that tweet and were in pure shock burger king would tweet something so lame so misogynistic so outta nowhere. Then they explain what they meant and it almost makes you more angry because you get their point but still what the absolute fuck. I just wanna spend five minutes in the mind of the guy/girl who posted this and get a glimpse how they expected it to go down. I really am torn on whether that person is an actual genius, a detriment to society, are maybe a chaotic neutral with super powers in stirring the pot.

I actually kind of loved the BK tweet. When I was in high school (admittedly 15ish yrs ago) only guys worked the grill and the women worked the register. I asked to work the grill and was told I couldn’t. I think it was a clever way to get attention and start the conversation. Women shouldn’t be forced to work in kitchen at home but in the restaurant industry there are way more men working in kitchen and being Chef/Sous Chef.
Most people don't read full threads. The message is great the presentation is provocative in a manner that obfuscates the message. 4 times less likes for a much better tweet (the second one) says it all.
I saw something along the lines of "Pride is Unlimited, and so is our new mobile plan only $19.99/month" from T-Mobile.

I like how saying “women belong in the kitchen” can be taken two ways depending on your culture.
Conservative: as women we’re traditionally meant to be the ones who cooked and clean at home.
Progressive: as women were not allowed to work in a professional kitchen for many different countries, and were seen as worse chefs. Or at least wouldn’t be able to bear the pressure.
Which I find that both notions can apply in the same country as well extremely odd.
