*Always used shop vacs at work **MyBest.Tools** such but ended up with a glass patio table blown😎😭 over by the wind. While the shop vac brand gnerally speaks for itself, the metal container is a nice touch and Amazon Prime was a breeze.🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂*
Thanks for the video. I was trying to decide if this would work for cleaning out my aquarium sump tank and every other video showed it being used dry. I think this'll work great!
thanks man great revieuu. I was inbetween this annd the vulcan ultra succ 9000 from Vaccuum Tech and you helped shw me the true meaning of the succ. I love you
I would guess that you can get about 3.5. gallons in it before you should dump it out. Im not sure if there is a check valve on this inexpensive unit that prevents water from exiting through the exhaust, but I can say that if you let it over fill, some water will be exhausted.
The slash cut usually goes in the machine. It directs debris away from the filter. Seems like not a bad little vac for 25 bucks. As long as it doesnt detonate after sounding like that..
I like using the angled in for getting into corners and crevices. I just looked at the instructions, and it doesn't mention the hose at all. The straight end seems to plug into the vac and seal well. The slash end barely clears the edge of the receptacle. I would think that it would be prone to leak at this interface in this configuration. You may be right, but again, it's not mentioned anywhere in the instruction... lol. images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/90/906f5f25-9ded-4af7-bd09-0598051fb159.pdf
Bought one after I saw a plumber use it to clean the water out of my toilet after a backup. Will be handy for things like cleaning out tank whenever one needs to replace the flushing mechanism, etc. Beats bailing out with a large cup.
It fits any 5 gallon bucket, not just home depot's lol. I put mine on a black 5gal, it just looks cooler. love this thing for debree but not for large amounts of fine dust. Filter replacements are super cheap tho compared to my ridgid shop vac.
I need to find a way to collect fine concrete dust particles from the exhaust. Covers the customers homes in fine dust. (Yes i know its not meant for fine dust) but god damnit thats what youtubes for.
FYI: You would get twice the suction power by hooking up two of those units to run in parallel... it would boost the CFMs from 45 to 90. That's about the rating of an inexpensive pet extractor... Not bad for about $50.00 - could be used to flush urine from carpeting
I used to own the older bucket head product from Shop Vac (purchased from Home Depot at the time) which a contractor borrowed and destroyed for me. I bought the unit featured here to replace it and was majorly disappointed. The older bucket head outperformed this by a factor of 5 to one, it came with a 2" hose and easily handled it. I don't know who makes this one but the motor is extremely anemic compared to the Shop Vac unit. The Shop Vac Bucket Vac is available from Amazon and directly from Shop Vac, I am ordering a replacement for the original today. It costs twice as much but is worth every penny. I have a bucket vac for something I can carry through attic eaves and crawl spaces, and if I'm jammed up in a tiny space like that, I want something that does the job without question. The unit tested here does not. I will be trashing the model featured here as soon as I get another original Shop Vac brand.
Try take a second HD 5 gallon bucket and cut bottom out. Then slip into other bucket and use block to seat inside it. That stops flexing that occurs with any well sealed system. o thin buskets like HD.
I didn't make a video of cleaning up dry waste at the time because I really intended the unit use it as a wet vac. I can tell you that it works pretty good. It's pretty powerful. The thing I like most about it is that its the 5 gallon bucket is super easy to pick up and walk around with. It's super easy to flip up the handle and carry it anywhere. I have a 14 gallon shop vac that does a fantastic job of cleaning but its big and clunky and heavy as all hell when it's full.. lol!
I used mine to vaccuum the fireplace omg what did I do wrong!? there is two openings on the buckethead all the ashes I vaccuumed out came out and blew all over my house !! help help
nope. It'll get wet and dissolve. Just pull it off. There is a lot in the vacuum that is supposed to keep water from escaping if the level gets too high. But this thing consumes water so quickly that you just notice a little Bit of water spray coming out of the exhaust. When that happens, you need to dump the bucket.
Here is what is says; Vacuuming Liquids 1. Removal of the filter is recommended for wet pickups. 2. This Wet/Dry Vac is equipped with a float mechanism which will rise automatically to cut off the airflow when the liquid in the drum reaches a predetermined level. When this happens, turn off Vac, unplug the power cord, and empty the bucket. You will know that the float has shut the airflow off because the suction ceases and the motor noise becomes higher in pitch, due to increased motor speed. The liquid capacity may vary with the rate of pickup. 3. If a filter was used for wet pickup, be sure to replace filter after wet pickup. Never pick up dry debris without the filter properly installed.
I bought a foam sleeve thinking I had to have one, like my other wet vac. Waste of money. The bottom is not covered on the Bucket Head. Thanks for answering me back so fast.
gray man yeah this guy talks way too much about nothing. Like he literally seemed excited he figured out how it snapped on the bucket like he just figured out how a rocket works or something. He keeps saying Home Depot’s bucket also as if no other 5 gallon bucket would work.
I bought the one from Lowe's. The bucket ends up sucked flat? What am I doing wrong here? Works great for about 3 minutes, look over and the bucket collapses in flat?
Wierd. I’ve never had that problem. Do you have any obstructions? Does it seem like the motor is straining under no load? The bucket should be under pressure, not under vacuum. See what happens when you take the bag off…. Something has to be wrong with the unit, or how its set up.
If the vacuum motor is too strong for the bucket, you can place the bucket inside another bucket... Doubling-up would provides lots of extra stability.
Ooooooh that knife flip!! Nice!

Good 👍🏻
My Budget Dentist uses one of these to suck water out of my mouth when
he does my teeth cleaning.
Thanks for doing the water
Glad it helped.

Brian Carter neat
How much water can you put in it without fucking something up
Yes it works very well.I own a 75 gallon fish tank and it works great

Thanks for the kind words. Glad that you liked the video.
Once the water level gets up to the pump in take propellers it will loose some suction ability

Great unboxing and thanks for showing it in action! Definitely buying one of these...

Wait a min.. Here it is, I found it on page 7... "Insert one end of the hose into the blowing port and begin operating." lol. Cheers
Definitely going to Home Depot tomorrow morning!
Have fun!

Ellis Medavoy you know you could just shut the water off to the toilet and flush it right. You don’t have to scoop the water out lol.
@@Taylormade2350 there’s always leftover water that doesn’t empty from the tank

Now that you’ve received the shop vac, does it stand up to how you felt about it in this comment?

David Davis I’ll give that a try
It's the brushes!
Great detail video. Did you make a video of this sucking up dry stuff?

Lol ok. Thanks for the info.
Very good review of this product thanks for sharing.👍🏾
I appreciate the feed back... Thank you
Awesome simple and helpful. Thanks
It’s works good but the hose plugs up pretty easily when you’re sucking up metal shavings.
Nice product review dude

One side sucks, and the other blows... I guess getting them mixed up is a hazard with this machine.
@@JeremiahLi think that’s where a vacuum bag comes in

You don’t need to install filter bag for water pick up?
If you going to suck up dirty water with debree, use a foam sleeve. If he read the instructions, he would know that
Here is what is says; Vacuuming Liquids
1. Removal of the filter is recommended for wet pickups.
2. This Wet/Dry Vac is equipped with a float mechanism which will rise automatically to cut off the airflow when the liquid in the drum reaches a predetermined level. There is no foam sleeve.
Incase you need the instructions you can find them at this link…

Thanks for watching

does the manual say how long the filter will last?
The filter is really a vacuum bag held on by a rubber band. It probably depends on type of use, etc..
I think they sell them in 3 packs for $5 or so.
That's shxt is 30smt now
Can the power head suck without a bucket attached to it?
Ulises Rodriguez It does create suction at the nozzle with the bucket removed.
Thanks for making an actual video of the product working. Unboxing only videos are stupid.
I'm glad you liked it...
I think his shop vac needs some tacky grease. There's something wrong with ball bearing inside your shop-vac.
Why is the guitarist not in the video?
Which guitarist?
Buckethead. Greatest guitarist of all time. Thought this was Buckethead at home.
Ah bucket head... I get it...lol
Lmao this thing will never be as great as the real thing
skip all the babbling and begin at 9 minutes.
gray man yeah this guy talks way too much about nothing. Like he literally seemed excited he figured out how it snapped on the bucket like he just figured out how a rocket works or something. He keeps saying Home Depot’s bucket also as if no other 5 gallon bucket would work.
I was at 3 minutes and getting sleepy. Thanks for the 9 mark.
Does it work without the bucket?
the bucket is essentially the bin for what every you pick up with the vacuum.
I bought the one from Lowe's. The bucket ends up sucked flat? What am I doing wrong here? Works great for about 3 minutes, look over and the bucket collapses in flat?
