- Bucket Head Wet Dry Vac Review, Tool In Action (Wet and Dry) and How To - A review of an inexpensive, portable, and somewhat disposable, wet dry shop vac called the Bucket Head made by The Home Depot. Model BH0100. Comes with vacuum head, 4' 1-1/4" hose, and 1 filter. 6' power cord. You'll need to purchase a 5 gallon homer bucket to use this and purchase additional accessories or an attachment to you your other shop vac tools. I use this for small jobs or to pickup stinky things that would "taint" the smell of my other shop vacs. With the hose and 6' power cord, the vac is not well balanced, but does what I need it to. #buckethead #homedepot

I started using these a service plumber, is a perfect size for going in and out of house with.
Perfect price for something you might fill with poop water...
I generally remove the bag filter from the inside.
If the bucket has water in it, most dust will stopped,
I put a second hose in the exhaust port and a sock on that.
Great ideas! I’m definitely going to try the hose on the exhaust.
Thank you for making this video. I lost my owners manuel and wasnt exactly sure if i was supposed to remove the filter or not. Now I know ...
Kudos to you sir👍🏼
You’re welcome! 😃👍
Thanks. I looked high and low for a wet demo and finally found one. Great review!
🤜🤛
Great review and the beginning joke with the bucket on your head cracked me up. Lol
Thanks for making this
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it and get my sense of humor! 🤣
Best described
Glad it was helpful! Cheers!
I laughed when you mentioned that the inlet and outlet ports are not marked (instructions don't either). Of course obvious when vacuum is turned on. Great idea to use expensive hepa filtration bag over exhaust port to prevent ultrafine particle matter from exhausting into breathing zone. Too bad there isn't a hepa bag option to cover the float valve assembly. Many thanks for your most excellent review.
Very welcome! And yes, when you turn on the vac you’ll definitely now (for better or worse) if you put the hose in the correct end. 😃
Can I ask what length bungee cord you used to connect the miele filter?
Thanks for the question. I’m using a 24” bungee cord from Harbor Freight that came in a 12 piece package of assorted- length elastic tie downs by HFT (Harbor Freight Tools’ brand). They’re inexpensive.
I'm going to get me ine of those. I've been using my Rigid to vac up wet basement and it takes twice as long to clean the vac as sucking up the water. Using a 3M bag at the exhaust is genius. I might try that with my Rigid, too. Could you comment what number Filtrete bag you used that has the openings for the bungee cord?
The bags are available at Amazon - they come in a 5 pack for under $10. You can use this link Filtrete Miele FJM Synthetic Vacuum Bag www.amazon.com/dp/B001HL02Q8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5zTgDb2HXD9AP
or search Filtrete Miele FJM synthetic vacuum bags. These may not fit the exhaust of a Ridgid though because the exhaust ports are bigger (FYI- I have 2 Ridgids now- 4 gallon and 12 gallon).I’m beginning to think I’m a sucker for orange shop vacs. Lol
I used one for scroll saw work, the problem is the blower side is always active so it just continues to blow around any particles that are close to your work area.
Thanks for sharing that! A longer hose would help with that. Also try adding a diffuser or vacuum bag to the blow port, which reduces blow around. I recently used the bucket head attached to my handheld, 3 1/2” compact circular saw because I didn’t want to drag out my large shop vac, and it worked well.
@@BruceAlanR just fab up a deflector
Great idea!
I got mine for the nasty shit also. Have a good larger shop vac but Ive used mine to suck water from a stopped up sink and works well as a vaccuum for the car. Definately works well for $20.. Had mine about 2 years now and theyre cheap enough that who cares if they break after some usage.
I agree. If I’m going to beat up a shop vac, this is the one. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Does anyone know the total height of this while sitting on a 5 gallon bucket
The total height on a Homer 5 gallon bucket is 18” assuming the bucket’s handle is down.
I like mine for the Rv but I can't find tools that will fit the hose
Thanks for commenting. I have a bunch of Ridgid adapters I use to connect attachments from my 5 hp Ridgid shop vac.
All 1 1/4in tools fit
Great info. Thanks for sharing that.
How do you clean it
It’s easy to clean. Simply remove the vacuum power head from the top of the bucket and then empty the bucket.
Thanks for your time
Welcome! 👍
I wish it was battery operated. I would buy one. I cannot stand dragging an extension cord behind. Get all tangle up.
I hear ya! I've recently been eyeing the Milwaukee handheld vac ($119) for my shop since I have a enough batteries to run it for days. 😃
I wired a 20ft cord on mine lol
Fuck I been using it for cat litter wth :( Amy product you recommend for it than
Ha! I use it to clean cat litter off the floor and I’m not worried about it. To prevent any of the fine litter dust from being recirculated into the room, I attach a vacuum filter onto the exhaust port with a bungee cord.
let me show all the water is in the shop vac , well where the hell else would be, LMAO
Hahahaha! Good point!
Ok. Works good but, the bucket collapses flat...
The bucket collapsed?
Mine does the same.
It’s a collapsible bucket or the Homer bucket implodes?
Happened to me when I used a thinner bucket. It was food grade and slightly see thru
Ah! That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.
The short hose is a turn off
Yeah, the short hose in combination with an awkward bucket does make it a challenge.
After about 15 seconds watching this I had to turn it off. Don't try to be funny when you're not!
Ha! My wife would agree with you. Thanks for the feedback!
@@BruceAlanR Lmaooo I actually forgot about that intro, I had to go back & watch it...Bruce be yourself it's all good! Life is too short anyways. Hey question...you know where is the best place to buy that 3m filter bag? Or could you provide a link? I think I see it on amazon, but IT doesn't look like it's the exact same...so I figured I ask you...thanks!
@@ElliotCS1.6 Thanks for the kind words. I don't expect everyone to share my sense of humor. I got the 3M bags on Amazon; however, any quality FJM filter for a Miele vacuum works. Here's a knockoff that has 9 layers... a.co/d/hWo9vE8
@@BruceAlanR Thnx!
