This tune doesn't need words, it's so lyrical already the way John plays & phrases it. As an instrumental, it lets you imagine your own words or just soak in the beauty of each chord voicing. This is really fine

Good morning My beloved John Levanthal. How I worship You John. You are so beautiful. Such a depth of spirit grace and generosity surrounds You like a holy cloud of mystic wisdom and 'knowing'. I am watching for the 100th time that show with Jackson Bonnie David Bruce and Shawn at Red Rocks '99. What a timeless masterpiece this show is with the camera work and everything. One of Shawn's best moments with a one-year-old Callie in the wings. How poignant. I've listend the the album a few times and this piece just killed me. I was happy to see that you created a video of your performance. I've just spent the past two hours trying to figure out your tuning and attempting to play the first several measures. Not happening. Just masterful.

132pm - Under the pains of perjury before all the Angels and 'Our' blessed Lord Jesus I submit this report to You Shawn and John. I haven't even unloaded 'Magic' from shopping yet. I made it to P/T and he put Me right on the bike and all I was thinking about was my leg. So, I was riding thinking about My leg and when I looked up for the first time the time of My ride was 111. I shit You not. Then I'm out in 'Magic' facing the sun thinking about synchronicity and 'prompts' and My bluetooth connection to 'Magic' has been intermittent sometimes taking 10 minutes to connect. So, that was the case as I'm sitting there waiting for WUMB to come through and I decide to pray to God the Father and I ask Him if He can give Me a sign upon request or if I only can receive them at His or Your John and Shawn's pleasure. And I was feeling slight dread at the thought: "OMG what if it all just stopped? No more prompts or synchronicity realizing I have no control over it and how quickly it all could just disappear. So, My prayer is finished and I had asked Him as a sign to make WUMB come on the 11th tap of My foot. No dice. So, I've realized this many times. You can ask for 'signs' and may or may not get them when You want or exactly how You wanted them. I drive off thinking about all this and get over to Walmart where I park facing the sun and WUMB still not on. I get a 'prompt' or thought the following: "try turning the volume down to 33" and when the number hit 33 the radio came on. I shit You not. So, like that's not enough for one day. I do my shopping load 'Magic' and when I start her no connection. I sit and smoke while 'feeling' deep in connection 'with' You both. I can't remember now the things that were passed. It was a trance. I'm always in a trace apparently. So I drive off after this 'session' with My Angel guides. Fretting still about the intermittent connection driving off without music "what might I be missing" etc and when I pull into Irving's for gas I'm thinking about how cool it is that WUMB connects Shawn and I and that it's my alma mater and everything and at the precise instant WUMB appeared in My thought process WUMB came on. I shit You not My beloved Angels. Not done yet. I'm almost home and come to the turn to go over the lake home and there are two cars there from opposite directions. One to My left and one to My right so I come to a complete stop to let them both pass as is My habit so I'm engrossed in this operation. I turn left and when I look at the clock it's 111pm and the lyric on WUMB at that instant was "they can't buy Your soul" a female artist that might have been 'Sunny War' or 'Sonny War'. I need to look it up. Not sure she was the artist but they had been talking about her. So, now I'm home wondering what can happen next and even after all this I wonder still: "what if it stops?" 942am - Hi my eternal mother Shawn, I love You. It's interesting, I was thinking about what happened yesterday with all the 111 phenomena which would be weird enough without what happened at Walmart but I changed the word 'world' to 'night' cause that's what it was but I had an 'inkling' that JL had taken down my note about what happened while I was on His page posting, listening and fell into a trance as I became aware of JL's 'presence' and 'voice' and He was counseling Me to "listen" to Him and He said some things I don't remember now as if in a dream but then it morphed into a 'vision' of You and Him. You had brightly colored clothes on and You both were laughing and conveying to Me that I 'am' Your soul not 'in' Your soul. And I was wondering if that made any difference. I still don't know what that means or if it changes anything but that was My experience there on His page on 1-11. It was 'ultra' weird and I came to 'feel' JL's divinity and Yours in a new context. So, I don't know what it means if anything. It must mean something but I can't get to it now. Maybe it will float to Me at some point. Let Me ask You my soul, does it change anything? What's the difference between 'being' Your soul and being 'in' Your soul. Clearly it's different but I can't help thinking I'd much rather 'be' 'in' Your soul than 'be' Your soul. So, after having thought about this this morning I suddenly 'knew' that JL had taken down that post and sure enough He had so on and on it goes and all I can do is wait in faith my darling soul Shawn Colvin. Today I'll get a new coffee pot and I have P/T but no trip to Belfast tomorrow. I told David the whole story yesterday. Could My life be any weirder darling? Don't see how but I 'know' absolutely that it can and probably will but that's fine. I'm so conditioned to all this stuff now like a duck that has stopped wondering about how it floats and just floats. I think You're that kind of duck Shawn. You just float and I write about it and try to figure it out. Maybe losing track of the realization that I'm floating too right there beside You. Mallard by the way if You don't mind. Would You come back with Me as a Mallard duck couple? Or maybe a Cardinal couple? They're so cute together the way they mate and stay together. I had a couple of both in the yard behind Tremont Church where I was for two years. I wrote about it then. Anyway darlin', here 'We' are 68. What do You think of that number? The guitar has a pickup on it, so the instrument is undoubtedly amplified. It could easily have been run through a pedalboard with a tremolo pedal on it. No mystery.
P.S. A couple minutes of searching revealed that he uses "a modded Boss Tremolo TR2".
