    ***Just so you all know I did put a Lower Jaw on the template in case you want to make it a full face mask. It just wasn't the look I was going for this time.***

    Currently building this and noticing how straight the lines of your pieces are vesus the pattern, especially parts B and C. We're currently in a snow storm so I'm using floor mat because it's what I have on hand. Definitely need to cut bevels in some of the seams to make it work. I'll probably switch to contact adhesive as the AC glue I'm currently using isn't keeping the seams shut. Decent pattern to start with, thanks for putting it out there.

    One thing I thought of for the teeth, was adding either a single wire through the teeth which prevents them ALL from falling out or maybe a single wire through each tooth that you poke through the base of the skull (with glue) for extra support.

    • @SKSProps
      @SKSProps  Рік тому

      No reason to do that on these small teeth. Bob smith superglue hold hd-foam extremely well and once it’s Plasti dipped all of the teeth are sealed in place. The only reason I did that on chainsaw man was so I could reposition them before they were glued in place.

    hi there! this mask looks absolutely amazing, i will try this out in the future when i'm better with eva foam :) i have a question, more like a suggestion - can you make beyonce bee helmet from renaissance tour out of eva? this whole costume has been on my mind for 2 years, i want to recreate it. but i'm kinda struggling with the helmet part. more easier question, what material could i use for lenses of the helmet?

      First off thanks! My foam can ship worldwide but I’m afraid the costs would be to high since my distributor is US based. Costs for shipping over here have gone up a ridiculous amount over the past several years. For overseas you might check out polyprops not quite as good as mine but better than floor mats

    Maybe this is a stupid question, but how much do i have to scale the template of this mask, to get is as big as the one in your video?
    Your tutorial looks so great and it actually made me brave enough - after years of just watching - to try and work with foam. Really want to try to build this mask but i´m not sure with the scaling... the "poster"-Function works perfectly, but with a scaling of 100% the template seems way to small.
    Greetings from germany! :D

    • @SKSProps
      @SKSProps  3 місяці тому +1

      The pdf template is already scaled to the size you see in the video. You shouldn’t need to change the scale unless you want it larger or smaller

    I've heard one person say that you can hit the foam clay with a heat gun to "lock in" the sculpt before you leave it to dry so you don't lose as much detail, have you ever tried this? Just curious if it works or causes issues.

    • @SKSProps
      @SKSProps  Рік тому +2

      Thank you!! A heat gun wont do much to foam clay and you run the risk of drying out the surface to quick. This can cause issues with the moisture not wicking out properly. If that happens you cant sand as deep or carve into the surface because the clay underneath is still wet.
