My 2013 f150 radio says usb when I plug it in but goes right bavk to playing the radio even when I use the 3.5mm plug it goes right back to the radio do you think a hard reset is needed?
Whats the big plug in above the fuse box I have a 2013 Ford f150 stx and it won't start or turn over it just clicks one time from that fuse box location but if I unplug that big plug in it will start do you know what that plug in is

Do you know how I can make this radio power up when I have my truck running with remote start. I have asked the dealer if there is a option in forscan and they told me there is no option to do this.

Stock Radio quit working. Installed a Sony Head Unit. Worked for 3 weeks. Randomly shut off and wouldn't work. After watching this video, I removed fuse 38 and checked good and reinstalled and it started working again. It wasn't loose. What could have happened? It almost looks like a fusible link in that spot.
I could need some help. My truck had a working display picture and radio. I turn it on and now the displays gone but the radio works fine. Any solutions?
Me too, dude. Just happened today. I'm afraid to disconnect the negative battery terminal like some have suggested because I will lose all of the programmed stations and if that does't fix the display... that'll be a PITA to get back. Such a bummer

I've got a 2013 F150 and am completing an amplifier install with the stock head unit. For the amp turn on wire (blue) I've used a fuse tap to plug it into fuse #38 and it seems to be working because it's powering my amp. I'm trying to understand what fuse #19 (dsp/amp) would be used for. Is it better to tap into #38 or should I tap into #19?
I have a 2013 fx4. I took out the radio to add a t harness and noticed the harness has been messed with by the previous owner. Now i have no power to truck with the key being on or off.
Mine is the same issue. I have taken the factory stereo out , the main power wire is good but I can’t get any power from the power source when you turn on the key. Any ideas???
Man my radio quit working but my clock flashes and my temperature thing works my wipers come on when I start my truck now my ac went out again after I replaced the fan and motor
So just a heads up as you check each fuse they are tiny and you are standing on your head. But once you check a dozen related fuses you should be mad enough to hit the radio four or five times... fixed mine. Radio is prone to solder joint failures!
2013 F150. We pulled the fuse to the radio because it was intermittent & doing weird stuff, crackling noises, LOUD POPS. The internet said the problem is a solder joint inside the radio. After pulling the fuse... all it's lights went dead & we were good for 3 weeks.This morning, a religious radio station is coming through the door speakers? We opened & closed the driver door, it stopped for second, then came back on. Then.. we found we could turn the volume down with steering wheel volume control only! What the actual F? I thought pulling the fuse TO THE RADIO would eliminate it? Original owner in Ct., not a flood truck from down south.

I appreciate your video, allowed me to verify no burned fuses on a 2012 F150 with flashing clock dead radio. One suggestion for your video, the fuse cover holds a fuse puller that works better than those needle nose pliers.
Did you just replace the radio? I tried baking my radio hoping it was old faulty soldering but it didn't work so im guessing a replacement is needed. Still haven't checked fuses admittedly.
@@ericmendoza6261 Sounds like your doing things backwards. The fuses would have been the first and easiest step. Baking the motherboard is a last hope effort, and has risks of destroying the radio. In my case, the hail Mary worked... for a few months. I'm not going to try it again and am shopping for a replacement now.
I replaced the first radio in 2013 f150 at 100k. 2nd one just went at 170k. Crap stereo systems. My 04 explorer has 269k. Time never synced right. My 98 explorer screen crapped out at 100k. Ford seems to get roped into some cheap vendors for electronics. Thanks ford.
@@ccrostelli I'm checking a part in my door that connects most of the door wiring. I'm having problems with the speakers and door locks too. I watched a video of a guy taking his radio apart and putting it on the oven too. As crazy a that sounds others said it worked for them.

Got a 2009 f150 radio works but and can be heard but no show of display on screen it comes and goes suddenly. Any idea of what it could be?

What fuse tab did you use? I bought one for a low profile mini fuse and I can’t plug it in. I bought it at auto zone. Can you send me a pic?

They way it was and how long it was going out I don't think it'd ever be a fuse in that scenario.

Check all fuses none blown my wife did put a cd in the radio and hasn’t worked since then
Changed all the fusses you mentioned. Turn on radio shows F150 & clock flashes. No radio
