So many choices! I look forward to seeing what you decided to do. I agree with the person who mentioned swatching. That might narrow it down a bit. Happy Knitting! (from Margaret of My Wonderful Knitting Life podcast)
Hello Margaret:) Thank you for commenting. I think I decided what I want, I really look out also a worsted weight patterns but i think I will choose in exactly the same gauge as my swatch:)
Thank you for your podcast, Ivetta. I’ve been looking for a cardigan pattern as well. Sometimes it’s not easy to match patterns with yarn, but your podcast introduced me to the Puro cardigan and I’ve just purchased it. Now I just have to figure out the size🤪. I imagine you know of the Finnish Knitting Stories podcast which is one of my favorites. Hope you keep podcasting😁
I am happy that my cardigans list catch you :) Puro cardigan design I love! I was thinking very long what should I choose. I stopped to Carly cardigan:) just today I got more brushed alpaca silk mohair 🙈. Yeeeees, I know Finish Knitting stories. I found this channel just 2 weeks ago, and last week watching only her🤌, I am on recovery time from surgery and I have plenty time to knit and watch Jana, there is a pail of useful information, I’m keeping to saving and saving:) she’s during a big work. Love it:)
Your yarn choice for your cardigan is beautiful and I can't wait to see which cardigan you choose. Have you considered the Eva cardigan by PetiteKnit - it's a beautiful pattern with a nice shoulder design. I knitted mine off-gauge using worsted weight yarn. Cocoknits has an easy way of calculating the size to knit if you want to knit a garment in a different gauge. Essentially, you calculate your gauge(stitches/inch) then multiply by your intended bust measurement. With that number, you look at the number of **body** stitches in the pattern(after splitting for sleeves/joining in the round) that is closest to the number you calculated and knit that size. I hope this makes sense. One caveat is the number calculated should be within the range of the sizes in the pattern.
Thank you, this is very useful comment, I will save your tutorial:) Why I am not looking on Petitknit patterns, my plan was to choose smaller designer, only because of it! I love Petiteknit, i have a lot of patterns from her. But i challenged myself to support more small business. Thank you for comment and Have a nice day:)
@@ivettabauman I understand - it makes sense that you want to try other designers. One reason I knit a lot of PK patterns is there are videos for all her patterns so asan inexperienced knitter, those videos were very helpful. I am now branching out... a little... and would like to knit Spot sweater by Anne Ventzel, Harlow by Caidree and a few other designers including SandnesGarn.
@@Enig_Mata you have amazing plans:) and I love Petite knit too because all patterns so easy to understand. But we should challenge ourselves:)) wish you good luck with your future projects 🤍
You have some great options and I don't want to throw the cat amongst the pigeons BUT... if you want to keep your yarn selection and needle size how about looking for a worsted weight cardigan pattern and knit your size in your DK yarn? Might be worth a swatch? Good luck!
Hi, again! omg:))) so I need to looking again. I was thinking that worsted yarn garments will be super bulky, but you know what, I will looking for new ides in worsted one! maybe this will work out better. as i said, I have a time:) thank you for ide! never would get to that.
