Mike gordon song

I think transcribing his songs will help me get better at guitar. Still have a long way to go to really get his expressions (articulation and such) but I was surprised I even had a general sense of the notes and rhythms after like an hour or so. Interestingly, I noticed my fingers kinda wanted to use the ghost notes to accent the ands instead of the 2s and 4s, giving it a funny two-step/oompa/ska feel but I tried to correct for that. I didn't feel like screwing up my intonation since this guitar is so hard to tune plus I don't have bari strings so I just played it in A but maybe I'll experiment more with tuning down on the dean that has no wammy bar so it is easier to do that with but this guitar is just so much nicer to play and looks cooler.

Ok, I had to do some research. This is Michael Gordon, who goes by the stage name Mk.gee, not Michael Eliot Gordon, the bassist from Phish who goes by Mike Gordon

I'm glad you found the right mike gordon. i'll admit i've listened to 0 phish ever. but also glad i now know there's more than one of them.
