You can actually just transfer the software update with a sd card instead of doing it through your computer. Super easy. Great vid!!

I have MacOS Ventura? How do I update my FX3? It isn’t listed on the software capabilities list for Sony.
Can I keep my lens on the camera even if it’s not Sony ?
Can I install it with my Mac laptop 2019 version ?
Mine keeps saying the software updater needs to be there but I put it there.

I'm trying to upgrade to v 3.0 from 1.0 - and am specifically looking for the intel camera driver. On all the 3.0 support links I find only Silicon driver. The sony page is kind of a mess to search through.
ANYONE have any tips or help getting the Intel camera driver?
Hi, how did you remove black background and made it transparency from sony menu 0:44? Is it something to do with alpha channel or just opacity mode?

*Update* I did the update later to find out that Cine EI, Cine quick and flexible ISO only allows 1080hd out put for external recording!!! Thats not good at all for someone who records externally on Atomos v. I tried working around it but no other way to get 4k unless Cine Log mode shooting is off. Anyone have noticed or fixed this?
Ok BUT that part at the bottom of Security & Privacy where is reads, "System software from developer..." doesn't appear for me.
This is the $h*t I needed to see. You helped me with my update. I had to use my a6600 to take a photo of my fn menu and custom settings before the update. Now I need to learn to load lutz

Please, Where do you find the system software updater?
For those that are confused like I was, it's the download button at the very top. That's the update. The M1/Intel links below are camera drivers, so you need both.
THE VARIABLE SHUTTER IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE ON THE FX3
BUT THE FX30 HAS IT WHICH IS VERY HELPFUL AT THE WEIRD LIGHTING SITUATIONS
PLZ SOMEBODY BRING THIS UP TO SONY

What if my firmware is 2.02?

I wasn't able to updated the camera unless the battery was fully charged at 100% AND plugged in. See if that works.

What if you accidentally clicked ok when it says System Extension Blocked? I tried downloading again and it doesn't give me that prompt anymore

Do I have to remove the memory card from the camera?
I don't believe so, but you do need to have a fully charged battery for it to work properly, at least I did when I was doing the upgrade.

FX3 has terrible software issues. No sound after 2.0/2.0.1/2.0.2 update on two cameras.
