Ankle monitors aren't necessarily for house arrest, they're also for parolees who aren't allowed to leave the city and are considered likely to try and flee, or are subject to restraining orders and are not allowed near certain locations, among otherthings. You can absolutely be out and about with an ankle monitor, the bandanna is to hide it from other people, not to prevent the monitor from working....
They also have ones that just detect alcohol for monitoring people with DUI convictions.
Smuggling things aboard an airplane can get you arrested or at the very least fined. Do not recommend.

Also depending on your charge that got you that bracelet the tracking isn’t necessarily being monitored but you’re body temp changes and if you consume alcohol.

As someone that works retail don't do the s*** with the Starbucks bottles. It really f**** everything up for us. And can mess up things for other people. Had a poor kid who grabbed a multi pack of sodas Someone had been cute and switched a couple of the cherries with a strawberry ones. poor kid was allergic to strawberry had bad reaction right out in our parking lot.

The scrunchie was made by popflex, it's an activewear brand so it was designed for when you need some essentials but can't carry a purse on you like if you're going out for a run which is really cool. I kinda just wanna get one to wear around my wrist when I have to go somewhere instead of bringing a whole purse with me, sometimes it feels safer not to carry a purse depending on the area
I would carry a purse anyway as a throw off to make them think your valuables were in there
I think it is easier to make them believe you aren't carrying any than try to bait them. The purse itself could be sold. Quite frankly, I think the point of the scrunchie is for convenience, as athletic wear don't typically have nice pockets, or the contents bouncing around make them uncomfortable to use
This would be brilliant at amusement parks like Cedar Point where you can't carry much.
I would be nervous the scrunchie would fall off with all my valuables in it but my hair's really thin... 😅
The thing about the pregnancy/airplane one is that depending on where you are going, they will ask for proof that you are safe to travel cause of how far along you look. So be careful with that one. Starbucks one - I hated it when people did that when I worked at Safeway.
I was going to say something about the Starbucks one too. Sometimes grocery stores can't sell the mixed sets and it ends up getting pulled off the shelf. Kind of sucks for the store.
I dunno man, I flew from Idaho to California at 34 weeks pregnant and I was definitely NOT asked for clearance from a doctor; I didn't have it. The doctors in Idaho wanted to keep me and deliver my baby in Idaho. As a stubborn healthcare worker (don't do this - looking back it's one of my biggest regrets in life), I said no thank you, got on an airplane, and straight to the hospital I worked in to be admitted. I just knew I'd owe 20% of everything that happened in Idaho because of my co-insurance, but that everything would be covered at 100% if I went back home.
It used to be that fake pregnancy bellies were for smuggling things past the authorities. Now, as a customer, you have been demoted to the level of a pseudo-criminal. I don't think I want to do business with these people.
Read about going through any kind of x-ray or a metal detector. When they be able to detect some thing under your shirt and think was suspicious?

Switching around bottles in a multipack is a shitty thing to do. The cashier will stop you if they catch it. If they don't, then the ones you left mixed on the shelf are unsellable. Not even as singles, because because multipack bottles have different labels. They don't have the nutrition info that is required to be sold legally.
Depends on the product. Some do have the full labels on individual items, but they DO have different barcodes (Example- Smart Water. A 1 liter bottle sold individually will ring up at the single bottle price, but if you try to scan a single bottle from a six pack, it will either come back as "not found" or it will ring up for the price of the entire 6 pack).
In those cases that the bottles are individually labeled, the barcodes typically are still different, and it just creates more work for whatever employee deals with markdowns and damaged items, because they then have to print off a special sticker barcode to 'correct' the barcode on the product, so that it will ring up correctly as a single at the checkout.

I used to work for an extremely conservative doctors office (Utah early 2000's) and was conservative at the time. I started getting tattoos in inconspicuous places, piercing, cutting and dying my hair in extreme fashions (florescent pink short faux hawk). Needless to say my work was shocked by my appearance but my patients thought I was cool, I was proficient, and always professional. After they realized my change in appearance WASN'T AFFECTING my job performance the doctors were more lenient and started hiring people NOT BASED on their appearance.
We took our daughter camping when she was about 4. She didn't want to "pop and squat" so my husband took her little camping chair, cut a potty hole, designated a potty place away from camp, and away she went 💩.
That's what I'm saying, employers should look for work ethic rather than go right off of appearances. The nurses at my PCP's office all have some sort of colored hair.
Thats awesome. I had something similar, almost. I worked for a legal service company in the early 90s in LA working for several prestigious law firms serving their subpoenas and summons (I served the papers in the OJ Simpson case and the Madonna stalker case, for example). I was far from conservative, including an 8inch mohawk which changed colours monthly. The owner of the company wanted me fired worrying about what the lawyers would think. My immediate manager refused outright, saying I was his best process server, and that my appearance was a benefit, because nobody would expect a gutter punk to be serving papers.I lasted 6years there, and the owner hated me the whole time. lol...I still have the mohawk.
@@hysterikole1 I would have used your look, in a heartbeat, and I would hire more 'non-traditional' looking people. The least likely to appear to be a process server, gets the job done! I once had a little old lady come to my door, asking some questions about a business, that my property backs on to. They had done something illegal, and she was an investigator! She blew me away, lol!

I recently saw a AITA reddit post where the OP organised and paid for a whole 50-year-anniversary party for their parents but decided not to serve alcohol since they themselves were not drinking and didn't see any point in paying for everyone else's drinks. People in the comments actually declared OP the asshole and said stuff like "you want to toast at an anniversary and you need alcohol for that". I mean, do you? I myself love me a drink with friends but if someone invited me to a FREE anniversary party and there was no alcohol I'd still have an awesome time

Don't do the Starbucks thing. I work in a grocery store and that is pretty much stealing. People do it all the time with alcohol drinks. When we find stuff mixed like that on the shelf, we have to do a throw away on it.
Yes! And if the cashier notices that the drinks are mixed, they won't sell it to you. Please don't do this! It is such a waste!
I ended up with a mixed up six pack of beer with a grocery delivery. It was not cute and I was not happy.
Plus they have stores with mix and match packs! Just go somewhere that does.

Mixing drinks in a carton only works at self check registers. Cashiers are taught to not sell them that way. It causes a shortage in the box that wasn't scanned.
And then when someone tries to buy the other box the cashier will deny the sale leading to an angry customer
As someone who works in a grocery store doing what the person that 13:19 does actually gets the workers into trouble since the product doesn't fully match the box. While generally we (the workers) do not care about this we are the ones that again get into trouble so please don't do this.
I honestly appreciate the overwhelming amount of knowledge this comment section has. From the ankle monitors, to Starbucks thing, to also the pregnancy situation. I've learned more in these 15 minutes than I have all summer so far. I've never been in any of these situations but it is good info to know and how most of these "hacks" won't work or are too risky. I also learned a lot about how ankle monitors can work and how they can be used for alcohol monitoring. Thank yoy to everyone's comments, I appreciate all of it and hope everyone has learned more 😊

Yes for the scruchie one you can use it as a way to avoid having a pocketbook but also if someone mugs you the chances of them wanting your hair tie is slim to none. With the balloon on the ornament one yes that is a cheap way to change colors but if it does break the balloon should keep the glass from scattering everywhere.
Wouldn’t the broken ornament cut the ballon?
My first thought was that it would be nice if you're going out for a run or something and your leggins don't have pockets (cause they never do) it would be super convenient to hide your house key in
I don't wear Scunci's but it's a great idea. It's one of those hacks you hope doesn't backfire and someone rips it off your head!! I used to just carry the keys and some cash (in case I needed more water) in my bra....I like the ornament idea, too. They have so many balloon designs out there as well. I always do my tree differently every year. I love those vintage Shiny Brite ornaments and that would a great idea to find balloons with the vintage colors and look they have.

Swapping out the flavors can be considered shop lifting. The case left on the shelf has to be removed and thrown away. If the store wants to you can be charged.
I'm visiting my parents who have custody of my 8 yo nephew who is has ASD and is non verbal. I turned this video on on the TV and my nephew is staring at the screen like I've never seen and just laughing like crazy, it is the sweetest thing I've ever seen 😍

As a grocery store employee, PLEASE don't switch items between different 4 packs. It's our job to notice at the register when people have done that but we don't always and it ruins the packs left behind for other customers and leads to money lost for the store. It's essentially theft.
I don't condone this, but self checkouts make it almost foolproof. I often think the store prefers to suck this kind of fraud up because it's cheaper than paying an actual human.
Yeah, that was a crappy move. If you want variety, just buy two packs, instead of ruining a pack for someone else.
@@cristela4034 here where I live there is a beer and liquor store that literally allows you to mix and match packs and buy individuals to try but I guess people just don't want to be bothered going there or think because you can do it there you can do it everywhere :P like, no, they have signs explicitly saying you can, we don't.
@@crichtonbruce4329 in theory, the person watching over self-checkout is supposed to catch it but it's very hard and yeah, unfortunately corporations want to have their cake and eat it too, they want short customer queues and as few personnel to pay as possible while also preventing loss and these things are sometimes mutually exclusive, yet the employees pay the price.
In my country this is not even theft, this is fraud. People get jail time for this.
i work at a liquor store. nothing more satisfying than when people make their own variety packs and bring them up to the till. we always say “sorry! this ones been tampered with! ill go grab you the correct product and be right back 👽”

I went to do a “fun run” in Missouri while I was in the military, and me and my friends filled our camelbacks with various alcohols. It seemed like a great idea until we realized we were consuming hard alcohol in the middle of heavy exercise. We got away with it… And got very sick. Lessons learned.
I did a “fun run” for New Years in Central Park. At the middle point instead of offering water they were handing cups of sparkling wine! I gagged after thinking it was water! 😂 BIG NO to running and booze.

@@AimeeAimee444 Reminds me of having a spa day before an aunt's wedding when they put out a pitcher of OJ, and being kind of thirsty I got a glass and took a mouthful. I didn't spit it out cause it wasn't bad, but also there was zero warning that it was a mimosa and not just OJ. I was not old enough, but we at least made sure my sister didn't try to get a glass considering she was still very much a kid.
I feel the first one hardcore. In the 90's, when I was a teenager, I made a necklace with colorful paperclips. I was not "cool" and about a week later a "cool" girl wore one and was all the rage. I was pretty mad. I can't imagine how I would feel these days with that kind of profit!!!!😮😮
Ok, about the Starbucks Frappuccino's that would only work if, A: you were going through a self check out, or, B: if your cashier was either new or just didn't give a crap anymore.
I worked for Walmart for almost 5 years & I can tell you, firsthand that this only works about 20% of the time &, usually only with certain cashiers.
You wouldn't believe how many times I had tell someone that I couldn't sell it like that & explain how it wasn't fair for the person who came behind them that wanted it with all one flavor. Plus because we no longer had a complete product we would have to pull it off the shelf & claim it out (which essentially means we'd take it out of our inventory & throw it away.
I realize it's extra packaging, but it's too bad they can't put it in a container that it would be hard to get it out of or put it in a four pack box enclosed box. I'm not sure if they are going for a vintage milk crate look or what.
It is so fascinating at the Nokia part where she tried to press the word OK like how smart phones make you do it but people that were alive back in the day when you had to use touchscreen-less phones have done is before. She instinctively pressed the word OK like smartphones completely rewired her brain. That's so cool to think about
regarding the starbucks frappuccino "trick"...any cashier worth their salt will refuse to sell it to you with mismatched flavors like that. and if they do, the matching box that you created doing that will have to be thrown away.

@@healingthroughchrist1988 The remaining product on the shelf will still be thrown out. Cashier's also monitor self check registers and unless it's super swamped often have awareness of what's going on at each terminal either through an app or computer screen
Honestly I doubt a lot of cashiers would notice, depends on the store. I would never do it but people are not very observant and some cashiers work really fast or are new. And having accidentally put stuff in a bag before remembering to scan it at self-checkout, I'm sure they wouldn't notice at self checkout (unfortunately).
1:57, i mean you can pour the contents from the can into the water bottle. it won't explode if something other than water touches it.
The peel and stick tiles don't stay stuck for very long (a few months). Especially if they're around heat and/or steam like in kitchens and bathrooms. Which is where they're usually used. 🤷♀
That depends on what’s already on the backsplash/wall. Drywall will stay much longer but existing tiles like the video doesn’t stay as long without additional work (sanding, mastic, adhesive, etc) but then you get to redo the area more often. My ex would’ve loved that! 😉
I was thinking the same thing!! They looked like pretty cheap tiling, they are sheets verses the peel/stick individual tile. Tile has some texture and thickness to it and grout isn't shiny. I would definitely think they would curl with the steam. If you used additional adhesive, you are defeating the purpose but I would think that would really work anyway.
As someone with a big chest the liquor in the bra trick has worked for me countless times 🍾 I call it my library cuz it can hold volumes📚

@@jessicapearson9479 not the best take on a silly comment. I drink socially as in maybe a few times a year. I was wild as a teenager hence why I had experience with hiding alcohol in my bra. Don't assume the worst about someone you don't know.
The fact that you have experience from drinking and how to hide it as a teenager actually just confirms my point. If is also sad anot anything to brag about. I'll bet you were easy too. Like I said if anyone wants alcohol so bad as to hide it in their bra has a problem and needs to go to rehab. Drinking socially has nothing to do with it.

Ok that hammer thing is genius because even if someone managed to tear your wall open and find the hammer, your pepper is still hidden, and if they manage to tear open your hammer, your quarter is still hidden.

Charlotte, I tried to soak Gummi bears in coconut rum and they melted immediately... that being said, I mixed the melted Gummi bears with half a bottle of blue curicau (sp?) and rounded the flavors off with about two ounces of butterscotch schnapps and shook the mix well. It was delicious. I called it Gummi Beary Juice. Enjoy the recipe.

Southern comfort also mixes really well with the cream cheese icing that comes in the little tubs

The one where they switched the Starbucks. The store will know. When they have to restock and do inventory. It'll have to be counted as a loss and then they'll raise the prices more. It is considered theft when people do that.

please don't mix and match coffee/alcohol containers. it's extremely frustrating for the person who is trying to buy them, and for employees who have to spend time trying to make sure that they're all the same.
And potentially super dangerous since they have different ingredients (even slightly) and someone have an allergic reaction after drinking one they thought was safe (assuming the entire pack is the same).

I do agree. However for example in finland we do this with beer six packs etc. (The plastic ones) And it is often even mandatory to break those plastic wraps if one wants to have only a one beer instead of a whole lot. The mixing part is one pain in the ass if one works at a grocery store because you have to notice if there are different kinds of cans.
You can move your mouth very naturally with those prosthetics, they're made from a flesh-like silicone and are super-flexible. It's weird af to me though, because those of us with naturally larger lips were bullied by those who now want what someone like me was born with.

As a big chested woman I can confirm we hide stuff in there all the time. I've also forgotten i had stuff hidden and when I take my bra off it all falls out. Fun fact coins will and do stick to u like glue if left in there all day. And yes Charlotte out backs hurt a lot 😞

The ornament/balloon hack is a *multi use ultra hack* , and I am going to use it this Christmas. With a little spritz of cat repellent? No broken bulbs and no residue on the original expensive ornaments.

I put a carbonated water in my water bottle yesterday to take a break from regular water. I got to work and open the sipper and the bottle erupted like Vesuvius. Face palm: You can't put carbonated drinks in those water bottles because they are under pressure. I had to wait until I got home and opened it again in the yard to get the last of it out. Shot up like two feet!

I took one of those drink bottles with straws into a plane (with normal tap water) and same thing happened! Went ALL over my lap. Because the plane cabin is lower pressure

As someone who used to work in a grocery store I will advise you that switching out the frappuccinos is a bad idea. We used to commonly get people who thought they were just buying the same product and mixing them up all the time when it throws off the stores inventory which throws off the stores account of the items that they have to sell don't do that please it's annoying to the cashiers and annoying to the person having to tell you that using your common sense and switching out two products that don't belong in that box are not allowed that is a dick move.
I have worked retail for over 20 years. This will NOT effect the inventory as the UPC is on the CARDBOARD. It is indeed a dick move and causes waste due to having to toss the mixed pack that was left. But no, it does not effect inventory.
At the beginning of the pandemic I was trying to find hand sanitizer, and couldn't for the life of me! So I went to the liquor store, and bought a bottle of Everclear!! It's 99% grain alcohol, and it was pretty cost effective by the time I added the aloe gel and a few drops of essential oils for scent!!

@@lynneufeld3175 You've gotta do what you gotta do. And living in a small city, our selections are slim to begin with. So, I had to improvise, and it worked out rather well. I don't drink, so it brought a bottle until the pharmacy could refill their stock. It was always in stock too🤣
Dang I didn’t get any privileges on our flights when I was pregnant! Boo 😆 also that who “swap out part of a set” thing seems cool, until your the person who buys the other set accidentally. I quickly bought my daughter a swim suit as I was dropping her off to go swimming. Someone had swaps the set, so it was a xs top and medium bottom 😩 the little goose had saggy pant syndrome all day

that one with the tumbler is actually a popular sneaky move something people who arent allowed of certain drinks to still secretly drink (like people with alcohol addiction, or maybe when kids/even adults are allowed of sugary drinks but they cant resist the urge to drink)
i used to do the "can in the water bottle" trick all the time when i had a bit of a problem (not really alcoholism, just bad habits and depression) and felt the need to drink in public. literally bought a 24-oz water bottle just so i could hide a 20-oz white claw in there. i still have that water bottle, but i just use it for actual water now.

I’m not sure of the point in putting the can in the bottle. It doesn’t matter if it’s poured into the bottle or in the can in the bottle. They won’t know what’s in it unless the open the lid-and then they’ll know, either way.
I had an ankle monitor when I was on house arrest in high school, and I was in show choir. The entire school saw it through my tights during our performance. It was a bit embarrassing, but I was glad to entertain everyone.
About that last one with the coffees...I work in a grocery store...we DO notice...and gotta be honest we kinda have to care cause then we arent allowed to sell the other one...cause someone who ACTUALLY wants 4 of one flavor or might have some form of alergy or simply distaste for the other flavor will come by and purchase it and realize afterwards...guess who gets blamed for that? Not the customer that caused the problem...yup...right here...
as a retail worker screw the person swapping those starbucks drinks. everything we scan out we order back in so if we sell that whole case of vanilla we're going to order the vanilla one leaving us with more vanilla than caramel and then when it's found out?
guess what, they don't just put more of the caramel into the case, we damage it out. and for those who don't know what damaging out means, it meas we literally throw it away because we can't sell it. you're just wasting food. not to mention you're stealing, you're paying for one flavour but actually have a different flavour so don't do that! don't make our jobs harder than they already are!
Again, the swapping does NOT cause inventory or ordering issues. The UPC is on the CARDBOARD. It does cause waste though and anyone who does this should be punished.

That hair colour one, it amazes me how much the US protects its freedom against its own government and allows virtually any restriction to apparently be applied by private companies on its workers. Feels like such a disconnect.
They mean unnatural colours, not only allowing your natural colour.
A lot of places do allow it but it's the snobby places (and I'm not just talking about high end establishments) who think it reflects poorly to customers if people have hair like that. Unfortunately, many people just do it once or on occasion so that it's faded and growing out; I'm sorry but that IS trashy. If it's kept up and styled nicely, then what's the problem.
As someone who loves to have my hair dyed unique colors, I definitely dont like this "must have natural hair colors" thing because i feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin when my hair is dyed and my friends say that they see a more happy boost when its dyed versus natural. Its not that i mind my natural hair color but i like feeling colorful better. Apparently some employers find it distracting? And I would go as far to suggest that in some professions, having a natural more professional look makes someone look smarter, like a laywer or judge, that doesn't mean I'm any less smart with my science degree lmao
You can choose to NOT patronize or work at an establishment, but you can't live, work, and prosper legally without involving the government, so it's apples and oranges. And the businesses are private, so they can make whatever rules they want in their building. It's actually freedom being applied honestly
And you know that's in the U.S. how? I missed that part. As for protecting us against the government but not companies, I feel ya. I rather think we're having that conversation these days, and I'm not certain what the resolution will be. I cannot tell you how many people dismiss my concerns about private companies by simply saying they're private companies and not the government. I think it's a perfect example of living by the letter of the law but not the heart of it.

Usually when the grass is too rich, and they can founder easily. Oh and I get this question a lot. You can tell the difference in the stick on tile by looking at it as she put it over other tile and you could see the different grout colors. Also, some of that alcohol you can smell. Especially for a person who doesn't drink. Similar to Cigarette smoke on people...you can smell it.

I think one was at a festival where alcohol is really expensive, and one was at the beach. The ones that do bug me, are the ones that sneak it into places it's not allowed, I'm guessing the beach vid as one example. If you have to drink everywhere you go, yeah that's a bit of a problem there. My husband and always laugh when almost every TV show or movie has women drinking wine. Sometimes around the kids. "Oh, it's just a little wine, it's not like beer or drinking hard liquor". God, it's the new chocolate. It still has quite a bit of alcohol in it and sometimes they polish off a bottle!!!

I went to Coachella & a guy next to me in line was arguing with his girlfriend about all the drugs she had insisted on him bringing. She wouldn't help him hide them for the search getting into the event.
She was saying, it wasn't fair that he agreed to get them for her but wouldn't get them in.
They were THOROUGHLY going through all the male bags and pockets & not so much the girls.
I turned to him & said I'd get them in if he would share his weed on the other side.
He immediately agreed, & to his girlfriends horror, he gave the entire stash to me & said, "if you don't want to use them, sell them & have a great weekend!" It was coachella! It paid for the whole weekend!
