Our engagement was not planned and we were both drunk. We were at the dance hall where we met. For some reason we were talking about coffee which at that time I didn’t like. So I looked at my then boyfriend and said, "Don't expect me to ever make your coffee." He said, "That sounds like a proposal to me." He then wrote his proposal on a napkin. I said yes and we'll be celebrating 44 years together in 2 days.

And I truly don't get how you got that from my statement. 1st of all, I didn't speak in absolutes, I said "probably". 2nd of all I said he will keep going with the flow because based on what she did in her video and her literally stating maybe this is what will make you want to marry me, she clearly has wanted to get married and despite that, they are not, so the going with the flow thing is happening. I would have said that if they had children or not because they are obviously not on the same page based on his reaction. And I am fully aware that people get married after they have children, but again I was just mentioning that because they do and that helps denote the passage of time as well. As a former housekeeper and housekeeping supervisor, I can confirm that not everything in your hotel rooms get cleaned properly. Each housekeeper is different and they do miss things! Wash your glasses before you use them. If you’re worried that your sheet haven’t been changed, spill something on them because they have to come change them for you! I have so many stories….

I've heard that a lot of hotels will run ozone generators thru the rooms sometimes. It that a real thing that happens? I can't figure out how that would work

There are SO MANY UV/black light videos out there that show bodily fluids in hotel rooms. Have you seen these and, if you, do you have another explanation why this stuff lights up ?
(the only other plausible explanation I know of it the bioluminescents that are sometimes in laundry detergents, but that would only show up if the the detergent dried onto the fabric rather than being rinsed out after washing.)

I disagree on the “don’t move in” bit. Y’all should know if you can even tolerate sharing a home together let alone a room before even considering spending the time, money, and commitment on marriage. There is a big difference between knowing you like to hang out/go on dates and knowing you actually like having permanent residence with another person.
You should however be careful to avoid pregnancy and watch for the warning signs of dead beat partners though.

Like typical me, my proposal was not the norm. We were sitting on the couch one evening after work and I was like, "Hey, wanna get married? We're probably going to at some point, we can go downtown". And he was like, "Ok ya". 😂😂😂 16 years later and we're still happily married.

Side note, so many of us have run into Bears on the hiking trails throughout our life, they are way more scared of you than we are of them, and in Bear Country we know when to not be walking around the Deep Woods. Just avoid walking in there known territory when they are prepping to hibernate, and when they are in mating season.

I can only guess, but it might be because she had come to realize this man WASNT going to marry her, and the dress was like a desperate last attempt to hold on to that hope. Probably that man led her on, never outright telling her he wasn't interested in marriage, but rather heavily inplying a maybe and a future together. She got tired of waiting on those empty promises. But she also willfully blinded herself to the signs that he wasn't a husband from the beginning.

Yeah. A lot of people are giving him grief for that but you don't get to that point in the relationship without having conversations. It's clear marriage wasn't on the table for him and she just made herself look sad and crazy but doing that stunt and posting it.

If I'm being honest, if marriage is what I wanted I'd have a frank conversation with him and if it didn't seem like he was on the same page, it would be time to consider breaking up and managing dual custody of the kids. I'm not saying she should do that, but if a marriage is what she wants, if that's a deal breaker for her, here it is.
That being said, everyone has a different range of what they're comfortable with. Engagement rings and weddings are expensive and I'd hate to be trying to fund that while also raising 3 young children. The money just isn't there. Kids are expensive. The way he reacted doesn't feel like that's his reason, but it COULD be. Doing a stunt with a dress would never have earned her the reaction she wanted. Did she expect him to fall to one knee immediately on seeing her in the wedding dress? It kinda sounded like it. And we don't know this guy, our only evidence is this clip, but from that it seems like it was incredibly unlikely that's what he'd do.
My fiancé and I talked extensively about getting married and engaged before he proposed. I sent him pics of the rings I wanted and he picked from them. He told me we would wait to get actually married until after we save up enough for a wedding, I agreed. He proposed at a time when I didn't know he was going to do so. Talk to each other and have a plan about the future together. Be on the plsame page. Doing this delulu stuff only scares them away
