I just replaced my MAF Sensor in my Chrysler crossfire, it idles better and is a lot smoother until I press the pedal down. If I am in 2nd or 3rd and floor it the car acts as if it's not getting enough air. There's no way I installed it incorrectly. What is going on? I little description of exactly what happens ... I floor it the RPM drops and it acts as if it's about to stall and then it recovers and goes back and forth and it's very erratic. Its only in high RPMs though with aggressive acceleration. I just spent 180$ on the MAF sensor... Please help me, Scotty!

      Fixed my car
Re: '05 Rendezvous Died While Driving
      I have this same issue.
      Replaced:
      PCM PCV
      Plugs, wires
Gas filter, Crank sensor, Cam sensor
      Cleaned and checked all grounds.
      Both o2 sensors.
      Ignition switch and relay
Fuel pressure is 55# all the time.
Fuel system has been professionally cleaned twice.
the only code I can find is 300 random misfire but not enough to get a light on the dash.
Car will run great most of the time. then from a stop touch the gas and it shuts off. It does start right away after. This does happen more after a extended time at idle for say 15 - 20 minutes. I have taken it to two mechanics with no solution. Never does this while straight on driving. Just from a stop and touch the gas.
Car has 166,000 miles but looks great. It's been in the family since new.
One more think the wire connection near the back of the driver's seat is not corroded at all.
I need a fix not another bill with no fix.
I have finally found the reason my '05 Rendezvous Died While Driving.
Power steering pump relief valve. The pump was stopping the serpentine belt. This caused the engine to stall. I went thru so many possible fixes. This was a stab in the dark. But it worked. When the car stalled I could hear a belt noise. Then the engine stopped. If you pay attention you will most likely be turning the steering wheel. Does not need to be much at all for this to happen.

SCOTTY!!!!!! YOUR ARE AWESOME!!! I love how you are straight to the point and explain everything so simply!!! I could actually do some of my own work with your guidance and what you explained about the strut assembly is exactly what I needed answered. I recently just purchased a pair like that you tested and yup worse then ever. I knew it but with all the prices ranging from very low to high I chose in the middle. What You explained makes perfect sense and I thought it was silly to replace the whole thing. When I did my research on front suspension on the internet, pretty much all the sites said when replacing parts its recommended to replace all components involved. Now after having the new ones installed and it making the worst clunking noises ever my mechanic told me the mounts are bad and to replace only those. That didn't sit right with me . It doesn't make sense that brand new parts only have one part bad. The whole dang thing is junk!! Also, I have a 2003 Kia Sorento and everytime i put gas in it I have to pull the handle slowly and in spurts otherwise it makes a gurgling sound and spits out gas. What is causing this to happen? A filter possibly? Thank you in advance for reading and if you get the time to read my comment and answer It would be greatly appreciated. You go Scotty!!

That electrical grease is becoming very important. Cleaned some throttle body sensors on my 04 jeep. Went to test drive. Idle was wacky. Wasnt b4. Tranny would shift 1st to 3rd or het stuck in 2nd. Knowing there was nothing wrong 30 minites prior. Back in the garage with the engine running , pushed on connectors, idle would straighten out. Gooped up the connectors . ran great. Still runs great. If i hadnt just caused my own issues by "fixing" it , I'd swear the throttle position sensor had crapped out. But no, just a lousy connection.

Good video Scotty! My brother had this happen on his car. I had a 99 Honda Accord that was doing this but no codes would come up. Eventually figured out the ignition switch wires where you put your key in to start it we're burned and shorting out.

I have a 1989 pontiac firebird. lately it has been dying often while driving in traffic. once In a red light, once in reverse and once while turning. it will start right back up. I'd like to get a general idea before spending hundreds of dollars

Viridiana Trevino, you could try techron like I do. works wonders, it cleans out your fuel injectors, if the problem persists, the fuel pump is the culprit, good luck.
