The 150cc gy6 uses different size roller weights, so those sliders probably wouldn't work in that. Your variator fixed sheave may have come loose because you tightened it down on the belt. To avoid this, pull the rear pulley open with your fingers and press the belt down into it to get slack at the variator. This way you're sure the belt is out of the way. Also, I wish you had just done another run with the GPS. It wouldn't have taken long, and you'd have recorded data to back up the 39mph claim. I am enjoying your vids. Over thing I've noticed about other scooter content on UA-cam: big bore kit install and test videos get a lot of views...
So I have my own and I learned that sliders are different in ratio so u need 6 and a half gram which is 7 in rollers for your 50cc to be happy they last longer than rollers if u ride around a lot and hit top speed on it and u want to torque your main bolt so doesn't fall off I've actually built my scooter and 2020 hawk enduro they are finicky Chinese machines but once I fig them out there fun I've ran into just about every issue messing with them and got really good at it
Heavier weights means more top speed lighter weight means more take off power. I'm sure you've learned that so a good mix of 7-9 gram rollers would be the most beneficial on a 50cc 7-9 grams on a 150 would be a wheelie machine is stick around the 11-13 gram mark maybe 10 if your pulling lots of hills.
also btw it will be a good idea to press the clutch and the rear pully together for more room for work and also lowers the risk of untiedning the bolt because of the belt is beging pushed and when is releases it will lossen the bolt because there is no pressure build up by the fan wheel i hope it makes sense
You left us hangin! What did you do to the carb to get rid of WOT issue? I have the same issue and am planning on installing bigger jets, is why I ask...
@@robertausdemore7855I adjusted the air fuel screw. Gonna clean the carb today just to be sure. Probably a little gunked up after sitting all winter. Ran really good last year.
I ordered aliexpress, some 15gr sliders for my 150cc GY6.I am afraid I ordered them too heavy.I should ordered 13grams.But we will see what will happen?
I'm thinking about what if I put ten gram with the 8.5 grand would it be even faster I did buy a 80cc big bore kit for it but I'm not sure if I need to put that on yet it's riding ok but up hill it still 20 to 25 mph what would y'all do
Never used sliders. Gonna try um . I'm think if your running more constantly on throttle sliders maybe better. In town rollers. On country roads sliders
As someone who just had to change out the variator on a used moped where someone did this…. PLEASE stop recommending it to people. If you have the right tools you can get the nut on tight enough where it isn’t an issue. but getting locktite, especially red locktite out of the gears on a variator because someone put it on wrong? It was several hours of excruciating work to get a piece off that should normally slide right out.
i know ur pain pushing that shit i had to push a 150cc one mutipul times and a 300cc wide mototcycle body style after the wire harness started to melt and burn up luckly i caught it befor tomuch damage so i know ur pain and im shorter and skinnyer then u
weight too heavy.. Dr. pulley states that you drop weight on the sliders compared to rollers to have the equivalent .. the slider also raises the plate higher as its thicker while going up the ramp..

Thanks for the info!! Next video we do ill do the gps run👍 can compare that to the next mod that we install
I agree, loosen the belt before torquing down the nut to avoid pinching the belt. Well done for stopping it asap 😂

We are definitely going to put the 9 grams in the 150 to see what happens.. wheelies are fun but we suck at them so it will be wheelie/road rash vids.

What would be the best roller/slider weights for a GY6 50cc that climbs a lot of hills but still decent top speed?
You left us hangin! What did you do to the carb to get rid of WOT issue?
I have the same issue and am planning on installing bigger jets, is why I ask...
Next the weights light and heavy and you will get some RPM you need RPM especially at top speed if you don't have enough RPM you won't get top speed
Will it help not to bog down on hills or reaching 20 mph? I have a 2020 49cc wolf islander
You might have better luck with changing your clutch springs
@@throttle_therapy thank you, I will try it.
What did you do to get the scooter running better on the top end?
had to adjust the carb. Its still not as good as we can get it. but for the sake of the video it worked
@@throttle_therapy did you adjust the air idle screw? Or the needle position or change jets?

What weights are good for 80cc gy6?
We just put some 7 grams in ours. Works good! Try 8 grams too!
hello, what is the name of the app ? on Android or Ios?
drag racer is the name of the app. we got it on android

I would put the BBK in if you have it. Then play with rollers

Have you guys ever heard of loctite liquid loctite put that on the threads red loctite
in this part of the world, we say it lock-tight

A 50 stock needs 5s. Bbk 80 with pwk carb an altered exhaust an diff clutch wider belt needs 9 an above
Im putting light rollers so i get more torque for wheelies
Try putting in 3-9 gram sliders or 3-61/2 roller weights instead of all 6 of either
Excellent great job 🎉.
Explained really well
Very understanding understanding 👏

I have a 50cc zummer tao tao
I've got 6.5 and 8.5 and my scooter is going 45mph

Try 7 grams Roller Weights.
Its almost the same as the 5g/9g Combi that you tried.
5g + 9g = 14g / 2 = 7g
variator plus gros roulo plus gros ,mois de pois aler viiiiiiiteeeeeeee ok
yo do you have Snapchat cause I wanna ask U smth and I don't have Instagram
if you want top speed out of any 50cc 4t always go with 4Gr. weights Period
4gram I'm running 7 gram glixal rollers now I rev to about 6000 rp.m wow 4 gram wat would my rpm be sound scary as hell
