Whose Line UK 2x07 - Christmas Special (1/4)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 гру 2007
- Performers: Greg Proops, Josie Lawrence, Paul Merton, Sandi Toksvig, Tony Slattery, and Mike McShane
Authors: The story is "Santa Gets Lost on the London Underground," with Greg as Clement C. Moore, Sandi as Jane Asher's Book of Party Cakes, Tony as a child's letter to Santa, and Mike as Robert Heinlein.
Film and Theatre Styles (1): Paul is a caroller coming to Josie's house, in the styles of Hitchcock, pantomime, science-fiction, and disaster.
i wouldn't mind seeing josie on every episode
Josie's science-fiction bit was legendary.
I love Greg's nerdy glasses, he's just adorable. And Tony's letter to Santa... XD
The Christmas lineup is great, I wish they would have done this again simply so we can have all the brilliant people together.
yes there was a time when colin and ryan werent on every episode and there was a variety of funny participants
Such a shame they never did this again. They should of done a Xmas Special each year (and maybe extend it to 1 hour.)
Paul and Josie .. that's CHEMISTRY.
They're yin and yang
Well, they had already worked with each other many times in a comedy group, as far as I know.
holy crap sandi on whose line
thank you
Tony's always ready to get it on, lol gotta love him :D
Phew! I thought Clive was going to do his "carry on" joke again.
Yeh Tony and paul are rapidly becoming two of my favs
I am glad I found these now. I am just in time.
I loved when Josie ate the mouse during the scifi. She was so creepy, lol.
Erin
Yeah but where can i get that groovy skeleton shirt?
Tony is really good doing a child. Him and Greg are the best at that.
It looks so crowded onstage :P
I hate it that Clive always puts Paul down, he his a very good actor.
I hate when Clive puts anyone down. It seems to be a tradition in the UK of thr host of a panel shoe tk be a patronizing insulting git.
I know it won't make any difference, since this was made YEARS ago, but Greg [and the caption people] got it backwards. The authors name is Clement Clark Moore, they reversed the C's.
Josie's hair was all kinds of crazy in this.
it's cool that they got to choose their own authors
"Kwismas" lol Greg
Holy hell Tony, only you can make childs letter to santa be so naughty
'These were venusian reindeer with one thing on their minds: unsafe sex and bad hygene'.
Very good delivery indeed :)
Really? Six contestants all together? Interesting!
Stormbringer I wish they Couldve done this With the US Series
"Dear Santa, don't bring me a large bowl like ya brought me last year, ya fat git! Because I specifically wrote you and said that I wanted a 'Masters Of The Universe Torpedo', with uh, with batteries in it, but my sister disappeared with it.
Oh man, I'm dying here!
@NYGuy322 Yeah, Paul looks like he went a little bit spare after the audience groaned at his 'Rear Window' joke.
ohhh right aha thanks :)
Teasing; there's a definite correlation with the amount of teasing and the favored status.
I really like Mike McShane, he's a pleasant surprise on the show considering I started watching the UK version because I've overwatched the American version. And for how many fans Tony Slattery has, I find I don't care for his humor too much. Perhaps I just don't get the references.
I'm also pleased that I enjoyed Greg's performances since his first episode. He seems to shine with his snide comments and wit.
Paul is not bipolar he had a mental brake down in 1990
and let me say that your english is fantastic!
you speak better than most native speakers!
He does a bit. In that sort of geeky specky but hot way.
I love Tony!!!!
They should have done something like this for the US version of te show.
when dos colin first show up?
It was the night before Chwistmas. :3
and mike wooooo
Josie obviously watched the original 80s version of "V"
@margishench Ryan Stiles is said 'lanky yank'.
paul looks like chandler
Josie looked a little worried there during Paul's "walk-out".
He was unwell at the time. He couldnt stay sitting in his chair for the first shot of the episode so they had a member of the crew in his place. After filming this, he went into a psychiatric hospital for 6 weeks
Paul apparently had some kind of nervous breakdown backstage, and another smaller one while sitting in his chair during the taping. You can tell throughout this episode that something is off with him, it really showed.
It was good he got the help he needed afterwards.
I don't think that's a crew member in the chair. IIRC, it's Josie and Sandi both whispering to Paul to make sure he's ok and if he could go on.
@@vagabondrepertorytheaterco8431 according to Paul's autobiography it was a crew member
@@helensmith9992 Ah... that's kinda weird. He went on anyway.
He _was_ really off in film & TV styles here. It seemed as if Josie caught him totally off-guard with everything she did in the sci-fi segment.
You can't do improv if you're easily caught off-guard like that.
I doubt it, they're just more in the public eye so we hear about it more.
This is a great episode, however, Paul Merton looks uncomfortable throughout. He had a minor breakdown during the taping of the episode.
Clearly Paul never saw "V".
No Ryan
wat does paul say aft his intro?
Looks like 'Excuse me a moment...'
who are you talking about ?
HAHA... ok.... O_o
1991
haha its not that difficult darlin xD
She's like a female Version of Hugh Dennis
I like Paul and Tony. But both are kinda cukoo. Paul later went insane and went into a mental institusion, saying he was seeing things, and Tony had a depression type breakdow thing...And Greg's cool as well, but to me, he looks much better now than back then, now he's way less geeeky.
I'm outraged 6 people and no colin or ryan
just another thing America stole from the British. XD (^J^)
