      The higdon fine in open marsh and ponds but it’s a little loud in flooded timber in my opinion. You can’t hear the ripples at all.

    I have a Butt Up Rippler, still going after 3 seasons. I only use it and 2 quiver magnets when there is zero wind. Between, the rippler, the magnets, my jerk line and a spinner, the birds really like my rice blind spread.

    We run 4-6 pusalors in our spread , in cold weather very hard to pick up the ripplers when ice gets on them

    I have had several mojo ripplers they usually get water inside of them and break after a few hunts.

      Interesting. I have had mine for 3 seasons and its still kicking. You're not the first one to tell me they had issues with them.

      I can’t find it anywhere now. Not sure what’s going on. The only one I can find is the full body rippler. Here is the link for it on Walmart. www.walmart.com/ip/MOJO-Outdoors-Mojo-Rippler-Floating-Motion-Mallard-Drake-Duck-Decoy-HW2443/54876714

    Could the pulsator freeze up if it's too cold or does it move enough water?

    • @PelicanBoneOutdoors
      @PelicanBoneOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      It moves a good bit of water I imagine it would be fine. I didn’t even think of that. It never gets cold enough down here.

      Have hunted the pulsator in 30 degree weather numerous of times. Runs like a champ. Water spraying up might freeze but you can knock it off.

      i used my 3 in 7 degrees broke a large pocket open in the ice was it was prob 1/4in thick or more and they had no issues had to walk through the other deeks from time to time as those would build ice up

    mojo pulsator is worthless unless you have like 10 of them closely together, which is counter productive. and they typically stop working after 2 or 3 hunts. the pulsators which i have 3 of them, only cost me 80 bucks. maybe 75 but it was def not 100 or more. which is sad as now they cost 150 i believe. which at that price it isn't worth it. as they have issues with the batteries. not length of run time as i had no issues w that. this year as i was gearing up they no longer took a charge thus no longer work. and higdon is out of stock on replacement batteries. if you want movement on the water put either Goose deeks or magnum duck deeks on a jerk chord. i dnt use a jerk chord to actually convince ducks to land. as it is so much movement its counter productive In my opinion. unless your on private land that a solid blind build structurally will hid any movement. but i use it to stir up the water as ducks are approaching (200yrds out or farther depending on flight path) and jerk the crap out of it to make as much water ripples as i can. and then ill pull it tight and hold it and once ducks are within 100yrds or less and looking at my deeks i release it and leave it be. i do a lot of solo hunting so using a jerk rig and calling isnt easy. another thing ill do is i always have a retrieving dummy for my dog incase its a slow day i can at least work her. so ill send her out after it. haven't had many issues flaring ducks while she's out on a retrieve so that's the best solution. but Solid vid broski whish you had this up prior to purchasing either of these

      The motion ducks decoy spreader is what I use for a jerk rig. It looks awesome.

      Yeah mine stopped after about the 100th hunt. I found a wire had a weak connection to the motor. I re soldered (put together) the wires and works like new
