On the mojo, take your pocket knife and shave the corners of the decoy's stem down a touch so it slides on and off the pole much easier. Hit those little push buttons on the pole with some WD or spray silicone every once in a while and you're good to go. Had mine for 5 years and it's all good for a lot cheaper than anything else.
Completely agree on Mojo Voodoo problem with mount being too tight and difficulty with pole getting stuck I hate that. So I have 2 Voodoo dove and 1 lucky duck dove decoy and got them used them 2021 and no issues with motors on either brand. Nowadays if I have to carry gear into field my go to light carry choice is the lucky dove and 4 pack mojo dove flickers. If I hunting where I am allowed to drive to my spot then I add the 2 mojo Voodoo doves. Have had zero problems with the flickers since 2020 and zero issues with lucky dove since 2021 season. I got the Voodoo doves in 2021 as well and although mechanically the motor runs fine the mount setup is frustrating and heavier. The lucky dove pole is much lighter and stays cleaner plus more compact and takes up so much less room. I have 2 mojo wind doves, not a fan but some states don't allow motors so they have their place.
I have a couple older Mojo doves that are probably getting close to 20 years old. I have a Mojo teal that is probably about the same age, and it's still kicking. The ones that take AA batteries are the most reliable, plus you don't have to screw with charging. I haven't had much luck with Lucky products. I have one of their HD spinners and the feeding paddle wheel thing. Both of those lasted a season or two before they quit working. The remotes lasted about half a season before they quit on me, and they chewed up batteries like crazy. Lucky's answer was for me to purchase a new module for the decoys, so they both ended up in the decoy graveyard. I haven't tried any Avian X motorized decoys, but I do love their A frame and turkey decoys. For this equipment geek, it's Higdon and Mojo if I'm buying motorized decoys.
I'll try to take notes this year! Last year our dove fields all had terribly low numbers so I never really got to see if the birds preferred one over the other. I have had doves try to land on top of our voodoo doves many times though! Thanks for watching!
I decided to give dove hunting a shot this year. I don’t really know anyone out here in SW Washington that hunts doves, but there is a season. I think I’ll buy some decoys because it seems like a logical step. Do you call while using decoys?
I bought the mojo voodoo and the set of flickers, I used them for the first time and didn’t see any doves but other birds did come in to see what was going on so I feel confident if I can find doves there will come right into my decoys. No calling just sit in the shade and try not to make too much movement. I’m a beginner btw so take what I say with a grain of salt…
Too bad ya had a lucky dove failure. I got 2 Voodoo's and tried the lucky dove last season. The Voodoo's stayed home this year because of the poles. Got a second lucky dove this year and loved it. Additionally its my second season using dove a flickers from mojo and they are great.

Glad to be back! Thanks brotha!
I used my lucky duck spinning wing duck decoy pole for my mojo dove decoy utilizing the offset live action mechanism. Workers well.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
Would like to see if doves prefer to one to the other in the field. I’ve killed a lot over the voodoo mojo and dove a flickers

@@FlyingVOutdoors sweet ! Just got down welding up a small stand for some of my clip on decoys !
They simply do not care. Some flashing to catch thier eye gets them to see stationary decoys. They're not too bright, but fun to shoot!
With new flocks on the market I think it’s time for a update. Get it done now so I can order the beat new dove decoys
The pole fir the avianx is roo flimsy and leans to the side

Decoys definitely help get the doves to fly into your shooting range. I’ve never used a call while dove hunting!
Great advice. Best of luck to you!

How’s boon doing??? Miss seeing that meathead lol!!!
😂 he’s doing well! He’s been out of training for awhile due to all the craziness in life, but I’m very excited to hunt over him this year. 🙌🏻
I’ll take the cheapest! Haha
I heard that 🤣
