resinAce I love watching your videos and that’s what made me to “play” with resin!! But I need to ask a question. I’ve tried to make a Puerto Rican mold out of silicon, and it doesn’t look right. My question is, can you make me one? I will pay you. 4 inches wide..2 1/2 inches length 🇵🇷. Please help me PLEASE! Thank you so much.
I like the idea, but I would have done it with the balloons on the bottom at different heights and with a small gradient with the blue resin before I added the cloud - upside down from how I wanted it, of course - and then top it off with either a very light blue, or a clear resin.
I never thought of using microwaved ivory soap in my resin castings. This is really neat looking. I'm going to be doing a counter top here soon and this gives me so many ideas.
a lil sad the purple wasnt used (mostly cause its my favorite colour) would of been nice if the balloons wherent all at the same height but i really like this idea
I Love it like this - It gives the balloons a larger appearance - and when you are holding it you get to satisfy the urge of wanting to touch what is inside this cube-- I Love artists that think and color outside of the resin cube - Bravo!!! Bellissimo!!! Fantastic!!! Thank you
Always relaxing to watch your videos, im inexperienced with epoxy resin but i get ideas of what i want to do in the future because i want to do stuff like this for friends and family, and hopefully be able to be this creative and maybe people will buy stuff from me one day. Thanks i live off your channel, thanks for making it mind blowing each time!! Much love, xoxo.
You should do some type of fishing scene one day! The balloons when they were attached with that putty to the popsicle stick reminded me of fishing lures. It would be so cute!!!
I loved this it taught me so much. It's so late I'm tired but didn't want you to think I was dishonest. You are gifted talented also hard working. Your skills are not with out hard work. Thankyou again its beautiful to see things being made by hand.
I pretty much feel the same as everyone else. Wouldn't have looked so awkward if it were a complete cube and would have looked more natural if the balloons were on the bottom. However, Kudos for the clouds, that was very impressive! Nice video!
Got to say i am afraid i am going to get addicted to this channel! hahahaha not all projects piqued my curiosity, but the effort and quality in each and every one is undeniable! now i got a strange urge to make a octagonal deltohedron and a pentagonal pyramid (but i have not worked with resin for a while ago and i used to "make my own old-fashioned molds" i know i will be in trouble hahaha) i guess i got your channel to learn. thanks (sincerely) for the uploads and best wishes for you!
I recommend you get yourself a pair of nylon tip pliers. They’ll eliminate the risk of potentially scratching your work. They’re typically found in craft stores but I’m sure amazon carries them also.
Wow, I love this video! You used so many different techniques. Someday, I would like to make several different types of clouds. I’ve heard of Ivory soap, I’ve also heard of using cotton balls, and of air dry clay. I need to make more time to experiment! The idea of using the sticky tack to hold the balloons up was wonderful. I’ve been really wanting to make a piece with a boy holding a kite (my five-year-old has always been obsessed with kite flying) and I think I might try using the sticky tack to hold the kite up. Thank you so much!!!
Hi, thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave such a great message! I'm liking the idea of your kite project, I hope that turns out as great as it sounds :)
I honestly had no clue what was going on for the longest except they were cute tiny balloons but this idea is soo unique and super cute!!! Edit: Awww thanks so much for the heart! 😊
hello, very nice done ! I saw a lot of your videos, and I have 1 question: how do you clean your tools ? pipette, board,..... maybe have a video with tips and tricks ? tks !
Hi, thank you. 😊 Cleaning resin is a messy task, which requires Isopropyl Alcohol. I mostly squeeze or scrape remaining resin from my tools and mixing cups into silicone moulds and let any residue cure before using them again.
Love this! When you took the balloons out of the mold it was solid purple. When you put the resin in, I saw bands of color? How did you keep the resin from coming out of the cuts you made with the knife to get them out? Thanks for always sharing your great creations!
Ivory soap is a specific brand of soap which is formulated to contain millions of tiny air bubbles (this actually makes the soap float in water). When you microwave it, the moisture vaporises and the air bubbles expand to six times their original size. The resulting 'cloud' of soap is actually very dry, which is why is works well with the resin.
If you’re looking to do this technique with the soap, most soaps you can buy in shops will do this. That’s why they have melt and pour soaps for if you don’t want this to happen when you put it in the microwave :)
So peaceful. Love your work. You are so creative, and have wide imagination. Can you tell us more about the cloud material . It is look like cottoncandy 🤓🤓🤓.
Hi, thanks for the great comment :) The cloud is made from ivory soap that has been microwaved. My videos do contain instructions in the closed captions, you just need to activate the subtitles to see them.
Stir slowly with a thin mixing stick (I use bamboo skewers cut in half) and keep the mixing stick in contact with the base of the mixing cup. This will help to prevent bubbles being introduced to begin with. Let the resin sit for 5 minutes, as it heats up it will get more fluid (lower viscosity) and any bubbles in the resin should rise to the surface. If they don't, try standing the resin in water from the hot tap (about 60C) for a few minutes, and that should help. Just be aware that warming up the resin like this reduces the pot life (working time), and some resins that are designed to cure slowly (such as Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast) can cure instantly in the mixing cup if they are heated up too much.
Hi, it looks exactly the same as the day I made it. The soap is very dry after being microwaved and being fully encapsulated in resin preserves it further.
@@resinAce That is very cool. We have microwaved the soap for science experiments with the kids. It definitely gets dry and brittle. I just wondered if it would get discolored or break down. Good to know it hasn't!! Love the videos, keep up the great work!!
I tried doing epoxy resin projects but I always get the very small bubbles like champagne bubbles. I could pop the big bubbles with flame but these tiny bubbles will be there always. Do you have any tips to solve this? Or this is a bad epoxy resin problem? Thank you. Love your creativity!

Hey, this looks incredibly beautiful! I have two right hands (I am lefthanded though D:) and have thus never worked with stuff like Fimo and epoxy resin, but I am about to give it a try once everything arrives. Quick question though: From what I understand, you only use the little Fimo balloons to make a mold for the epoxy resin ones, right? What exactly are you coating them with that polyurethane gloss varnish for then? Would be nice if someone could explain that to me, thanks in advance :)
Hi, if you only pour up to 2mm of resin the surface tension will stop it from going over the edge. Just be aware that any edge defects can break the surface tension, which will cause the resin to overflow. ♠
This video is subtitled. Please turn on your subtitles to view tutorial text.
After the ivory soap expanded, will it shrink again?

Great idea! I'd also use either 3 or 5 balloons as that's more pleasing to the human brain.
Agree, different heights would have been better but very talented person

I agree about the balloons being the same height. It would have been cool if they were layerd throughout

Yeah it looks unfinished sadly
Wish the purple balloon could go in the middle of the cube.
Am I the only one who watches this stuff without subtitles on?
Nope, according to my analytics a whopping 93.8% of viewers watch my videos without the subtitles on!

I personally find subtitles really distracting.
Lmao same
No...XD
I love watching epoxy and resin videos!! It's mesmerizing!😉🤗
That cloud came out absolutely beautiful. I could stare at that cube all day!

Okay, the soap trick is definitely cool, but cotton wool works as well. Would shaving cream?
I don't think shaving cream will work due to the moisture content.

How do you get your resin sooooo clear without using a pressure pot while it cures?
