Started in 1997 we are Canada's original, most awarded and largest Espresso & Coffee Gear store!
I had the sage creatista pro with the automatic milk frother like the touch. Damn it is a pain in the ass. Sold it and bought the barista pro and I am so happy that the frothing is manual
Thanks for the input! We here that once in a while.
Care to share why it was a PIA re automatic? Thanks
I just purchased the touch from your store online! I’m excited
Thank you!
Great video fun and informative, thank you
Excellent and informative video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you also use the barista touch milk steamer manually?
Yes you can, you’ll just have to scroll to the preset that comes with the machine called “Milk Frothing” or something along those lines. You can do fully customizable temperature and frothing level to your liking. ☺️
One thing on the 870XL is that it has the analog gauge. You can see by the pressure level if there is an issue. Sometimes the wife doesn't tamp the beans enough, or sometimes too much. The gauge lets you see what is going on with the brew and whether or not you are in "the window." How is that achieved on this machine?
it’s not. it was so stupid for them to get rid of it. i will never understand who designs these
I have read the pressure gauge is not actually needed because all it does is offer a rough estimate, and is mostly not accurate. The best method is by using a scale, and timing the espresso shots.
@@louisd95714 not sure about all of them but I can tell you that mine is fairly accurate. If it is in within the right range they turn out perfect if it is over or under they come out not so good
@@MichaelPSmith-mp1fk I got this information from the UA-cam channel Lifestyle Lab. If you view his review of the Barista Pro, he explains why the gauge is not needed. But I admit, I like the look of the pressure gauge in the BBE and am disappointed it wasn’t carried over to the BBP.
Sorry How many grinder settings the barista touch has it
I dont get it why the grinder works in seconds? But Not in grams?
The machine unfortunately does not have a built in scale so it is unable to measure with weight.
Her biceps whoa LOL
Don't mess with Wendy!
Thanks 😊 it was informative
Glad it was helpful!
Which machine is better?
Both are great. Different price points.
I have the Barista Touch. the steam wand is not lined up with the hole on the drip tray, so when it purges it splashes everywhere.
On my Breville Barista Touch, I always wipe the steam wand before purging it (with the steam)?
Always a good idea
Have you heard of complaints on low heat temperature of expresso? I am researching and I keep seeing this issue w Touch? Thanks
Yes, I’ve heard that also..
I had one with this issue
We have not heard of this issue yet. Not saying it is not one, we just have not seen it in Canada and we have sold hundreds.
Warm up your machine before and after by dialing 1 & 2 shot hot water and milk steam, can adjust the temperature up to 96 degrees but ideally between 93-94.
I have use same machines for morethan 4 years now so far no issue with regards to the temperature. 😁
MD Castro because you didn’t receive a defective one.
Why is it too loud ?
Are both ThermoJET?
ThermoJet is used in the newer Breville espresso machines, including Bambino Plus, Barista Pro, Barista Touch.
@@ecscoffeeinc But the coffe comes very hot? I have read complains about temperature not hot enoght, I am between barista express or barista Pro. For me is very importan temperature
@@gloriasanchez3824 I just bought the barista touch and honestly I don't see that issue happening so I would say at least in the US model I bought its the right temperature.
@@javierpalencia1995 great! Thanks!! how long hace you being with your coffee machine?
@@gloriasanchez3824 since December 20th but I had the 870xl for 2 years and it was a good to move up, it's also good to mention that I'm a highly experienced barista and I recommend the barista touch.
I believe the Barista Pro has a more variable grinder that is continuous and will really fine tune the grind. The Barista Touch doesn't have that.
Hey just wanted to chime in here - the Barista Touch and Barista Pro have the same exact grinder with 30 steps and a removable upper burr with an additional 10 micro adjustments. You are correct, however, that the dial on the Touch is more of a "stepped" design vs. the dial on the pro. Same amount of play and feedback on the screen though.
The barista touch has a better frother so for the beginner it will be the best choise.
Which almond milk do you suggest for the latte coffee , I just bought a Barista Pro and tried with my almond milk but the result was deceiving ...
Alpro Barista is good, and easy to find, much better than the normal stuff.
Tip #1 full cream (cow's !) milk
Tip #2 cold milk (fresh)
Let me know
Almond milk is so thin. Use cashew or oat!!!
trader joe’s. the one in fridge area
Both machines are semi auto..
Hi, Can you steem the milk at the same time as you brew the coffee?
Hi Cesar, This machine does not allow you to do both at the same time. If you would like simultaneous brewing and steaming you would need to move up to a Breville Oracle.
You're a good teacher....
could i use 2-3 of these machines to run a small coffee shop while i wait for a commerical unit
They are not recommended for use in a commercial setting and if they are used as such it will void any warranty Breville offers.
@@ecscoffeeinc what commerical machine would you reccomend for a new shop at around 5k
@@Malibuflatliner Honestly not our specialty. At $5k you wont get much for a small shop. Do you want something where you can push a button or do you want to use a traditional machine? Which country are you in and we can perhaps send you in the right direction
that looks like a water cappuccino
Just get a full automatic instead of a machine that doesn't really know what it is. Me personally, prefer total control including roasting my own beans.
But those super automatics produce bad coffee for the most part.
First! XD
