Having bigger display and just fairly complete ports are what Interest me a lot, from this device. I even happy knowing the fact if Storage and RAM can be replaced or upgrade later
Looks like a very good desk unit. The price for what you get is good. Remember Best Buy runs sales periodically and one might be able to purchsse this at that time. Great quality review.
That is nice! I was looking for a 27" AIO a couple of years ago and all I found were low end with 1080p screens. I ended up buying a 27" monitor instead. I wish I had seen this, if it was around in 2022. Thank for reviwing it.
I agree with you Andrew when it comes to the HP OmniStudio X 31.5" AIO (2024). I've actually been eyeing this beauty on HP's website for quite some time but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Comparing this to the iMac, I agree! To me, the iMac is a joke as this one is a much better value in my opinion. The display while not 120Hz is a beauty. The quality of the built in webcam and audio is top notch! The quality of the built-in speakers is clear and immersive. In conclusion, the fact that you can upgrade the RAM and storage while you can't on the iMac is a deal breaker! Excellent review Andrew!! 👏😁
Gotta love the display mode useability u can just use it as a display instead of being stuck with a all in one garbage in the next 5 years when its hardware becomes really slow
The QC by HP is in the tank. I purchased the Omni Studio x 32 and the display was bulging out of the bezel, jumped through many hoops and sent it back for a brand new replacement that had no display issues but died in 3 weeks, zero power to display but using a flashlight I could see the wording. Sent it back for z refund. I decided the third time is the charm and just received my third Omni Studio x 32 this week and even before I turned it on the display screen was bulging out of the side bezels again. I am shipping it back today for a full refund and dumping all my HP products, they lost a long time customer and there is serious QA issues at their China factory. Stay away is my recommendation.
I got the same device yesterday. With Intel graphics instead of AMD. Unfortunately, the fan ist always spinning at approx 50% (1600) and generates a very unpleasant sound. So, i have to assume this is not the case with your unit as you did not complain about this?
This is the exact same, one I'm going with. I was looking at the other one, but I said I like this one better. Only if the price can go down with a good deal.
I'm concerned about the wobble on this machine. Can the stand be swapped for a heavy duty stand if needed? Can't seem to find info on whether it's a vesa monitor or not. Thanks!
You definitely make some good points about this particular unit. 60 Refresh rate no SD card reader but I think overall is a good system. This pretty much checks all my boxes. Minus the fact that it doesn't have an SD card reader, but then again, everything's is all downloadable and uploaded to the cloud. Considering my use case, it's just basic stuff and media consumption.
Our dear reviewer mentions several times that we can hook up multiple devices to this excellent machine, as if that's a real bonus, but I don't get why we would want to do that. Is he thinking I would have something local, an app or a file, on my laptop that for some reason I don't have on my desktop and the easiest solution to view it on the desktop is to fish out an HDMI cable?
I’m a total PC guy but I’d try a iMac for the colors alone, yes looks & color are subjective. I have a Lenovo yoga A940 and it’s great but looks so drab. This HP is not something I’d be proud to put in my living room as it just looks like a big monitor. Wish they did something a bit more unique with it. The Yoga I have has touch screen but not this one. And why no OLED? Love the size and appreciate you covering AIO form factor.
OK it has better whatever but THE M4vanilla is like 25% faster in multi core and almost twice as fast in single core. Also the m4 GPU is like twice as fast if not more.
@@PKperformanceEU it will come. It is great for laptops in low power for everything. X Elite and AMD don't have good competition for Arrow Lake-H/HX with RTX 50. X86 technology is old nowadays... There's no comparison between a new core i7 with an apple M4 or a Snapdragon x Elite. The ARM technology is too far ahead and Intel is doomed with the old X86. The i7 that comes in this OmniStudio is slower than an IPAD m4. LMAO!!! How can you recommend this machine and compare to apple m4?

Rtx4050 6gb, need at min 8gb in today's games. M4 pro will beat the pants off this AIO. I say pro because this has integrated Arch graphics and dedicated rtx4050 6gb, for a fair comparison.
@andrewmarcdavid No, I complained about that, that it should be an option, as it has a huge bezel to run a vapor chamber across and 2 vents for fans. I just mentioned the pro as the hp has dual graphics.
Still using my 27' iMac [2019]. The new iMacs look so shitty that they are unbearable. Completely unprofessional, childish and fugly. Unprofessional being the best word to describe it. Like, who in their right mind would keep a device like that in their Workplace? No wonder I've seen, and still see older iMacs [pre-2020] everywhere around, but nowhere [ever] have I seen these new iMacs being used.
I've seen probably 2 in small retail outlets here in Australia, but that's the only place I've seen them. The iMacs are very "childish" looking, their previous design was much nicer IMO A step backwards in aesthetics IMO.
Now, that's very interesting. This configuration used Wi-Fi 7, but the one on Best Buy uses Wi-Fi 6

It's 2024, 120 Hz should be a standard already, what's the excuse?
@zkdd23 There is a reason why it's not fully standard on everything, not everybody's a techie. They honestly wouldn't tell the difference
