The Lenovo Yoga AIO 9i AIO definitely has a gorgeous, very bright 4K display and you're correct Andrew when you say that you get more for your money with Lenovo than with the Apple iMac. I thought the quality of the 1080p webcam was clear and the built-in mics were good as well. Nice to have great sound out of the 4 speakers on an AIO. Obviously the star of the show here is the brilliant screen and for any lovers out there of an AIO PC, I don't think you can go wrong here especially after watching Andrew's thorough review! Thank you Andrew. Great job as always my friend!! 👍😁
I still think the HP Envy 34” AIO is the best AIO on the market. Beautiful 5K display, great webcam and ports selection. And, you can upgrade the RAM and SSD yourself! I love it!
Comparing all-in-one desktops is informative and helpful to those who are on the fence about what to buy. That said, comparing apples and oranges (pun intended) makes little sense. When it comes to difference between Apple and anything else, it's not about the box or the screen resolution, the upgrades...it's all about the operating system. Period. For those who are happy Windows users, it makes sense to get informed about various options out there. However, for those who prefer experience of Apple OS, an iMac comparison to a Windows machine is as irrelevant as it gets.
This Apple term will get people click into it, this is why there are still UA-camrs comparing Windows vs Apple. I’m more into iPhone/iPad OS more than Mac OS these days. Windows 11 is pretty good, with the strong come back for Edge and I have 1TB One drive, moreover this onedrive app on iOS is also awesome!
Believe it or not, there are people out there who are getting tired of Apple's anti consumer tactics and could be convinced to switch ecosystems if the value proposition was tempting enough. Just because you may be closed minded and locked into one greedy corporation's worldview yourself doesn't mean every single person is.
@@CaptainCaveman1170 Agreed. It’s horses for courses, but I don’t think Apple is any more anti-consumer than Intel or Microsoft, or Google or any of the others come to that, it’s just how you define anti-consumer. For me, I find Apple’s ecosystem to be very important, and the fact that they build their computers without fault-inducing and space hogging connectors that would be necessary for expansion, means they’re more reliable, compact and they run cooler too. That’s just my opinion. You’re welcome to your inferior, yet cheaper, more varied and more configurable PC stuff.
Apples iMacs are by choice all entry level Facebook browsing and homework machines. They don’t make high end gpu or CPU iMacs for professionals because they sell small powerhouse desktops for those users. This Lenovo is clearly built to allow for RAM limits and a CPU, discrete GPU for editors and content creators. They didn’t sell many but Lenovo a few years ago made the nicest AIO touchscreen AMD Yoga 7 with a gorgeous rotating screen. I wish they sold that machine with modern gen AMD CPU’s, higher end GPU. You didnt see many fanboy, unboxing videos of that one. I think design wise it blows away this Lenovo. I don’t care what people say, touchscreens in AIO computers are slick.
Nice desktop all in one unit. Camera and mics are good. I think this is a good all around unit for typical day to day tasks. If one is going to need a computer for playing power hungry games and other intensive applications then this is not the obvious choice. This computer was not designed for this type of use. Great review.
Hi Andrew. Amazing review as always, thank you. Pity it has the old Intel processor. I personally think that the only-dark-colored parts in PC industry needs to stop, and return a bit to light colors, like the PC used to be many years ago. I found the old, white-color, PC parts more beautiful. Also, I think 31.5" is simply too big for the modern small houses. I went from 40" PC monitor down to 27" and I completely get now why iMacs are 24".
6:31 The quality is decent. I don't know if this is a setting issue, but I see that clear focus is on the stairs behind as opposed to being on the eyes. It's also sad that it doesn't have a designated GPU. It would be an awesome alternative for power users (for whom the i9 13900H is primarily made for).
Hi, everything looks GOOD 👍 except the STAND. Looks like it will collapse anytime. I have not seen this physically though so I can’t pass judgement rudely. Please advise on sturdiness of stand.
Always love your reviews before I purchase a computer. Did you do a review of Lenovo Idea Center AIO 27” i7 32 RAM 1TB or have any thoughts on this model? Everyday use for a small business, no gaming. Someone said it had an overheating issue, but I see it on sale at Costco about $750
I think manufactures should start putting OLED or mini led panels on their AIO desktops especially when one costs so much like the AIO 9i. After using 4-5 laptops and monitors with OLED or mini led displays, watching anything on a IPS display is not enjoyable no matter how colorful or bright it gets. A lot of AIO out there are sill using FHD IPS displays which is ridiculous.
No ethernet port? deal breaker for many, more so than an SD-card port. Qi charger is more of a sales gimmick . That said, def. looks better than other Win AIOs. What material is used for the base?
Don't know man. My 2017 Imac 27 5K display is incredible, and works flawlessly. Now thanks to planned obsolence on the part of Apple, I just put Ubuntu on it, and its even more gorgeous! This Lenovo does rock though, I must admit.
I just ordered the aio i gen 9. Only found it on Amazon for about $1100. Can't find any reviews. Was released may 2024. It is stacked though. 32g ram, 1 tig ssd hard drive. 4.9 ghz intel processor. 27" touch screen 2k resolution. Worth checking out on Amazon
Once you used the Imac 4k Retina display, you never go back. 8 gig is more than enough for the Mac. The overall finish of the iMac is unbeatable .....31 Inch is also very big and is wife-unfriendly..😉
I think this with the new core ultra or ryzen cpu's would be worth it. The Iris Xe graphics just don't cut it anymore. I know It's an AIO, but even apple's OLD iMac's have good igpu's.
And my usual complaint, it would have been brilliant if they had a matte display. Also about resolution. I've got 32 inch 1440p display and that is a brilliant resolution for this screen size. With 4k you need to set scaling to 125% and many applications look ugly with scaling. With 1440p you set it to 100% and UI elements look as they were designed. I understand that for video/and graphics consumption the more the better. It depends on what you use it for
The hardware seems pretty good. It’s the software that matters in the end and this is will come with Microsoft. That is a dealbreaker. The difference between the Apple product and the Lenovo product is the software. Apple has a much better software solution. Both Microsoft and Apple are both closed and proprietary, which means they both are not very good, but Apple is better.
The need to move away from Iris Xe graphics come on is 2024. Or what they could’ve done is make different levels of graphics & chips sets & have you make the choice of what graphics & chip set you want in your Computer
These comparisons are meaningless for most people. If I want or need a mac it makes no difference how good some Windows machine is. In my case I *require* a mac to run Xcode. Most mac users aren't cross-shopping Windows machines.
You have a very specific use case which requires a mac. I get that. However, many people want an alternative that has a bigger display and other features that the iMac simply doesn't offer. For some 24" display is simply not big enough. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
Really clean and gorgeous machine. I agree an SD card reader would be all I could imagine being added for an AIO.
Agreed!
They should maintain this design for the future refresh. Maybe larger base, taller/wider to fit discrete gpu. Love the design and the features.

but its soooo expensive

Completely agree. There is no value in comparing the two when one is MacOS and the other Windows
This Apple term will get people click into it, this is why there are still UA-camrs comparing Windows vs Apple.

Did he remember to mention the 31.5” 4K display? I didn’t notice. Fan noise? Thermal throttling? What are those? Ah! It’s a PC. Okay.
Believe it or not, there are people out there who are getting tired of Apple's anti consumer tactics and could be convinced to switch ecosystems if the value proposition was tempting enough. Great Review. i just purchased one this evening for my company. Nice to know it was a solid investment. Thank You.
I want Meteor Lake Ultra 7 and 9 in these AIO computers
Is the HDMI In, Out or both? Want to hook my work laptop in as well...?
I only clicked on this video because I have never seen your videos before and was well rewarded
Thanks
I inherited some great speakers from my Dad, am I able to use those as well?
Many thanks for the review. I have found it useful. I am wondering why Lenovo doesn't have a gaming version as well.
Betteridge's law of headlines: "Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no."

So which all in one desktop will u recommend for someone who design digital products like video games, web app, mobile application design app
The problem is not in the hardware, the problem is in Windows itself.

How was the scaling when set to native resolution?
Can I use it as a monitor if I plug a Mac or another PC to it?
nice and stylish aio . thanks mr. david for this review . probebly it's my future aio 👌
woah cool, nice review sir
Thanks 🙏
Why is the 1TB cheaper than the 512GB?
Hi, everything looks GOOD 👍 except the STAND. Looks like it will collapse anytime. I have not seen this physically though so I can’t pass judgement rudely.
Please advise on sturdiness of stand.
will it be good for running CAD software?
If this could be used in a multi-monitor setup it would be a great work from home setup.
Always love your reviews before I purchase a computer. Did you do a review of Lenovo Idea Center AIO 27” i7 32 RAM 1TB or have any thoughts on this model? Everyday use for a small business, no gaming. Someone said it had an overheating issue, but I see it on sale at Costco about $750
I Love Lenovo!!! They always be Creative Tech Developer!!! 💖💝💗
Yes they are!

I agree
Great review as usual. But what about upgradable? i.e harddrive & ram.
I didn’t see a way to get inside
does it come with Thunderbolt 4.0 port?
Finger strap? You can hang it on your finger and carry it around.
Love lenovo❤
Also wanted to add the camera and audio was pretty decent as well.
Complete for desk and Lenovo supports customers
No ethernet port? deal breaker for many, more so than an SD-card port. Qi charger is more of a sales gimmick . That said, def. looks better than other Win AIOs. What material is used for the base?
Great but why the black color
Nice looking machine, I like it! And finally, a glossy display!
Does it run OS?
Don't know man. My 2017 Imac 27 5K display is incredible, and works flawlessly. Now thanks to planned obsolence on the part of Apple, I just put Ubuntu on it, and its even more gorgeous! This Lenovo does rock though, I must admit.
Do this Lenovo Yoga AIO 9i Gen 8 have 32 GB RAM?
Still running windows though yes?
What's the difference between the aio 9 and aio 9i?

hi, please unbox the lenovo yoga 9i 2024 model
Once you used the Imac 4k Retina display, you never go back. 8 gig is more than enough for the Mac. The overall finish of the iMac is unbeatable .....31 Inch is also very big and is wife-unfriendly..😉
It’s a matter of personal preference
I think this with the new core ultra or ryzen cpu's would be worth it. The Iris Xe graphics just don't cut it anymore. I know It's an AIO, but even apple's OLD iMac's have good igpu's.
Does it run MacOS?
Why still 16:9 ? why not give 4:3 or at the least 16:10
Can’t see them for sale anywhere, and they are far more expensive than IMAC
Great Video price ?
Check description
Powerful performance and stylish design, but still doesn't beat the customized desktop set.
I want one withe the amd 8740u on it
❤❤❤
I saw this in Prague (CZ) - impressive display but the glossy screen puts me off. Also the price, which equals more like 1990 USD over here.
140 ppi ?
0:50 oh that's great, so it can run macOS, finally thanks bud!
am not a Mac guy i love windows this is a game changer
lenovo always make great products for the value
It does have a rtx 4050 variant

At 32 inches 1440p the pixels are visible and it looks blurry-compared to 4k.
Without Thunderbolt 4.0 port its a big problem.
Thank you
webcam looks pretty good compared with thinkpads

This does look nice but ill have to keep rocking with iMac

Too bad you can't use it as an external monitor also.
Would have been killer feature
Lenovo + Linux is where it's at.
Awsome
I don't want to f*ck the iMac. My dongle doesn't fit into its USB-C port.
Hahaha 😆
If you have to put a question mark in your title......the answer is NO !
The bazels should the thicker ...
Microsoft Studio
This design is way better than that ugly iMac.
YEH CAMERA WAS BAD /AUDIO GOOD..

Nope, if no GPU for gaming, then stick with Apple’s M3. Apple’s ecosystem is far superior than what MS has to offer.
Imac displays are trash LCD lol but their good computers
The clickbaity title😂 it seems you’re trying to get Windows and Apple fans to argue with each other to get more engagement on your channel 😉
Better than iMac? Not if you're stuck with Windows.
I don't know, I can make a better spec with that price. Example....$400 for a monitor, $1k for CPU and GPU and misc.
24 inch screen is for babies
Lenovo is worst PC brand
No oled screen : a deal breaker
Good luck finding a desktop OLED with a good screen coating...
Good luck finding oled screen for $1699 😂😂😂😂
quite a jack of all trades , hope it had been a 2in1 like surface studio from Microsoft.
3000€??!🤣🫣 No, thanks.
