Part 3 of our River of Dreams Base Camp fly fishing trip is all about the sense of place, the immersion into the location. This stunning coastal rain forest teems with life. Our goal in this video was to immerse you into that sense of place, share the bird song and beech forests from the base camp's location at the convergence of the Blanco & Bongo Rivers and spring creek. We love this video. Some incredible fly fishing moments occur as well as we take on the spring creek behind camp as well as the Bongo River. www.riverofdreamsbasecamp.com

The years have taken my legs but not my memories, thank you for taking me with you.
Hopefully it put you "there" :) Glad you enjoyed this.
Nobody grinds more consistently than the Jensen gang for the fly fishing community
Thanks! :) Hopefully it comes across more than a grind! ;)
They make it look so easy, and it is ,when you know how!
It's not hard to learn:)
Remarkable… couldn’t of captured that place better.
And it's hard not to capture everything- what an amazing location!
What a film
Spectacular location, hopefully we did it justice! :)
Oh hell yes, please.
😁
That intro compilation of straight up monsters taking your dry flies may be the most phenomenal shots I’ve seen in any UA-cam video (professionally shot or not). You just gained a sub. Keep me coming!
glad you loved this one - we try to include interesting moments in most of our videos and that incredibly wonderful, unique and special location had a lot to offer beyond the wonderful fly fishing :)
Филм је права умјетност.свака част👏пуно среће у будућим остварењима желим👏👏🤗
So glad to hear you enjoy this - it is a gorgeous location and hopefully we did it justice :)
The way she turns that fly over is incredibly delicate, especially in tight spots. 🤙🏽
Thank you. It was an incredible spring creek to explore.🙂
To die in perfection in a place of this majesty is to have lived a life of worth. What an incredible place / superb cinematography and scoring. 🤯
Spot on to why we share. So wonderful to hear this video connected with you. Love that you loved it 🥰
wow nice! everything is perfect... filming and fishing...
Glad you really liked this one. It was really great to be able to film it:)
Love it! Nothing better than a small spring creek and good size brownies and rainbows!!
Nothing! Well, maybe that location and setting full of bird life :)
Honestly very refreshing to see that Patagonia has some fish under 18”. Thank you
We'd suggest the majority of trout are smaller than 18" tbh. The messaging on the internet wants it to be different but peak of season resident trout across the different water types... 85% are below 18" from what we've seen thus far in 2 1/2 months in Chile and 1 1/2 months in Argentina to date. We all want there to be gullible, willing BIG trout but that's the exception, not the norm.
1 word: stunning footage. Brilliant.
Thanks! Wonderful to hear you really liked this one:)
Hi from Australia, guys. Bedridden with covid and this was just the tonic. Wonderful. Thanks ❤️
Aw man, sorry to hear that. The good news is that there's some great videos on the internet to bide your time until you get healthy. Let's count on a reasonable recovery time - let it pass as it can do some funny cycles as you recover and heal. All the best to you the coming week or two!
💪💪Super fain
👍😊
Just when I think you can't possibly top the last video , here you go again. Absolutely stunning footage !
So happy to hear you enjoyed this one. Was heaps of effort to film and edit but the time was so worthwhile! :)
Love all the views!
What a wee little drone can capture is pretty amazing:)
That take the film starts with is the stuff of dreams!! Fantastic cinematography!! I could watch this everyday and never tire of it. The way the beauty of nature there was captured I believe makes this the very best film of this type I have ever seen.
So glad you were "there" and enjoyed this one. These are the treasures of being able to do trips, enjoy filming as we go so we can share :)
@@jensenflyfishing my one regret of the twenty years I spent fishing/guiding on the world's oceans is that I wasn't a better photographer. The work here plus the exceptional drone footage combined with the natural beauty of Patagonia makes this the single best of its kind I have seen. How do you not have a million subs?? Lol
Gorgeous film guys, best one yet
Thanks for this! This one sure took some concentrated effort:)
Great spring creek fishing filled with wonderful challenges & sensational slow motion takes
Exactly:)
Watching again. This video has a feel to it that elicits some powerful emotion. Overwhelming beauty guys. Magic is not an understatement 🔥
A truly unique experience in the world - an amazing location :)
This is incredible.
Some places sure capture a person's senses to the fullest!
Love those slo-mo shots so much!
aren't they wonderful to watch? :)
Beautiful film making and what a gorgeous place. Watching this on a cold, wet Sunday morning in Yorkshire, England and just transported away to another land watching your videos. Patagonia added to the bucket list. Loving the trout too - where I live a 12” wild brownie is a decent fish and an 18” fish a once a year monster. Keep it up guys - it’s like meditation on steroids.
Your eyes are exactly who we edit these style videos for, especially this time of the year! :) So glad we could invite you along and enjoy a gorgeous day on the water together :)
no comment, just thank you for sharing this
Glad it connected well with you:)
Magnifique, magique 👏👏👏👏🙏
😊😊
You guys are fantastic at filming
Thank you:) It's taken a lot of practise and focused energies, but we know it's what we're meant to be doing in life!
Wow!
This is some of the best footage I've ever seen!
Great to hear you appreciated it.😊
Amazing slow mo intro! Best dry fly sippin' footage I've ever seen!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ein Traum für jeden Angler🥰🥰🥰
Absolutely!🙂
Watching this on a cold, snowy Wednesday afternoon in Park City Utah and cannot wait to get back up to the Henry's Fork. This is beautiful video- thank you for your efforts
You're welcome. It's wonderful to hear we could inspire dreams and plans for you on your favorite waters.
Incredible fish, landscape and wildlife, truly a river dreams are made of. That horse ride though 😮😂
It's a unique and very pretty spot on the world that's for sure!
We found it pretty amazing what those horses can handle.
спасибо за видео, шикарные кадры, великолепная рыбалка, как-будто сам поучаствовал
Great to hear it came across that way - as filmed to intent :)
Your film making is absolutely unmatched. Your narrative is perfect....music....slow mo....and the perfect mix of cuss words🤣...keep up the amazing amazing work.
AJ here.Well as you know, the cuss words are thanks to me! I don't always have the best filter! 🤣
We're glad you really like this one for the overall feel. Getting the chance to ge there to film it was wonderful.
absolute casting precision and accuracy !!!! thank you , great , this night I'll dream ...
We had some fun target zones with how low that water in the spring was!
you are my mentors, greetings from Lugano, Switzerland
@@fabiosoldati1811 Well, if nothing else, just try and see what happens! Worst case you lose a fly, best case you get a story and a great memory :)
I am going to be watching your videos for literal hours
Welcome to our channel and that's perfect! 🥰 Hopefully you find value.
absolutely stunning.
A spectacular spot for sure!
Que hermoso lugar muy buena pesca
It certainly is!
Fishing can be an act capable of connecting us with nature and with our inner self, if you allow yourself to disconnect from your normal life while going fishing this experience can be deeply healing for the mind, and essential for us to see ourselves again as a humble inhabitant of this abundant nature that we have the privilege of contemplating. I love fishing.
You got it! Exactly what's possible if you choose it:)
That was Crazy awesome! Thanks again for the tag along! Too Cool!
Glad you really liked this one!
No words... Just 🌟🤩🌟
Glad to hear! Loved this one!
It`s like poetry ❤
thank you - it is! :)
Nice video
Thank you - gorgeous location!
Those trout are badass!!
Pretty cool spots on so many of them:)
Brilliant video! Exactly what we need to see in late February. This place is a dream!
Wonderful to hear! Glad we could provide an escape. All the hopefulness that comes from freely flowing streams and sunshine never hurts in the dead of winter;)
Increíble paisaje, increíble río, maravillosa Patagonia. Precioso vídeo.
Thank you - a gorgeous location!
Wow - incredible footage, very well done. Thank you so much for sharing - amazing stuff.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Epic footage 😍😍😍 greetings from Indonesia ❤
fun! Loved this day!
@@jensenflyfishing i was a new comer on fly fishing, and saw your film i think i have choose a right decision for doing fly fishing 😁
@@pugeranfishon2728 it can be a lot of fun. Keep it simple when you try. It is not difficult if you allow the line and rod to work well together :)
@@jensenflyfishing yap mate. Thanks for the support. I'll try more and more 😁.
Glorious presentation and photography. The music is not necessary. Let the natural sounds be your guide. Keep making these special presentations. God bless.
Thanks and glad you enjoyed this one. Music and natural sound are always an interesting discussion - with 8B people on the planet we certainly see our share of thoughts on that topic :) Hence we do what we love as artists. And you know how art goes, it's the artists platform to convey what they see and feel :) All the best.
WOW amazing like usual!
Thanks again for watching!
What a wonderful place, if heaven exists, it is certainly in this place. best regards guys
if heaven's not right there then it's 6" above :)
@@jensenflyfishing 🤣👏👏👍of course
I have been waiting with anticipation assuming you would do a video with substantial footage of the spring creek. You didn't disappoint. Your spectacular footage captures not just the fishing, but the greater experience of the entire area. It is so great to relive that experience through you videos. Your focus on "immersion" hits the spot as well as your great casting!
:) That's perfect to hear. That's exactly what this video was going for. It was daunting to bring all the video footage in to the timeline in the editor for this... 36 1/2 hrs of footage! Jeepers. Gulp! But 4 days at 15 hrs a day and a vision to put everyone watching right there with us to experience it helped guide the edits. :) So good to hear you enjoyed it.
Great video..Beautiful film making .. Greetings from Denmark
thank you. :)
Amazing Video. I Like it so much how you appreciate the gorgeous Nature. You Show the people how important it is to respect and save the Nature. Really cool to see that there are people Like you out there.
Thank you very much! It's wonderful to hear that this resonates to being a large part of what we share. To us that is the most important aspect of the whole :)
A cabin on the bank of the river at the 19:00 mark would be heaven.
Amazing spot! 😊🍻
Awesome video as always. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed this one. It's a favorite :)
Congratulations..incredible immersion in patagonia. thank you for these moments of dreams.
Its really makes you want. definitely the next one.
Providing a feeling of escape and longing is a big part of what we hope to do for folks watching, so we're happy this connected well with you.
I envy your all's lifestyle. Beautiful work as usual, so far the video is the stuff is followers are in love with. Awesome scenery and great fishing.
Thank you very much - it was an honor to experience this :)
Those are some great slow motion eats! Thx.
Great moments to work the camera 🥰
I love it. Love the feeling, the footage .... everything about it. Thank you!
So glad to hear you enjoyed it 😊
What a great trip! It so great to see angles like yourselves going even further away from your stomping grounds to have epic fishing trips!
There's definitely a draw of the adventure of new waters!
The call of the Chucao haunts my dreams…..
a good, wonderful sort of haunting hopefully! :)
@@jensenflyfishing Yes! Definitely DREAMS, not NIGHTMARES!!!
nice video
Thanks for the visit
Reminded me of getting stuck on the banks of some Michigan creeks around the 10 minute mark. Big fish and deep muck. Fun stuff.
they're the most fun :) If the outcome is the furthest thing from sure, that's the best stuff :)
Very nice movie, Thank you. Buenas tardes.
Thank you for taking the time to watch. That beauty is hard to beat:)
Absolutely amazing video again you guys! Thanks for sharing and i really appreciated the closeup camera work on the spring stream. Incredible casting btw especially that one brown tucked away in the dark shade by the stick. The best!
It was a wonderful trip for sure and so incredibly immersive and begging for endless camera work (which I certainly did far more camera time than rod time and let Amelia just enjoy being there on the water).
What an incredibly beautiful part of the world. Amazing fishing.
Couldn't agree more!
Fabulous! Your vids are like a breath of fresh air 👍 THANK YOU!
Perfect. So happy to hear that, that's why we film and share as we do :)
Great videography as usual! I can dream. What a sweet spring creek!
Amazing experience on that!
Great video! Man that's one nasty trail for those horses.
Thank you! Loved this one. And imagine that trail with 250mm of rain in the wet season :)
Incredible film!
Incredible Location!
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you.😊
Absolutely amazing video, it’s so nice to incorporate such an incredible environment, showing more than just (the quite frankly), best fishing I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing this magical place, no doubt everyone who sees this is absolutely aching to go!!
Thank you and so glad you enjoyed it. A truly special location and wonderful fishery and an even better tale behind the scenes of a group of friends that came together to purchase the lands and set them aside for their own value. It's a gift to have traveled and fished there :)
Great Angling and camera footage. Love how you care for the trout once landed and returning them. Brownies very similar to our local Scottish Brown's, with the red & black spots and golden bellys. Scottish Brown's in Patagonia 💪👏👏🎣🎣
Definitely "fish first" in our handling of them. I believe that some of the genetic markers do lead back to Scotland, but the definition and size of some of those spots on the brown trout are truly remarkable. 😀
wonderful!
Many thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you! Support means heaps to us. We appreciate it, value your contribution to this channel! :)

Watched 12 seconds and im already stoked. Dragging a big fly for a big brown? Not something we get to do in Canada very often
Let's just say those weren't the most difficult fish ;)
No kidding! It's nice when that happens.
Beautiful wild
:) yes!
So beautiful placeses 💕 video amazing
Thanks for visiting🙂
Good times.
no better moments in life together! :)

gorgeous location on the planet and wonderful location. Sure, there are many places with bigger fish but that water, that scenery and that immersiveness of experience is stunning :)

that rainbow trout looked sick like all pixelated and stuff XD
I guess we all see something different, but there was nothing wrong with it.
@@jensenflyfishing right, sick like cool.
@@ChaseHub I gotcha!
Stunning footage as usual ! I'm somewhat curious to know more about your bushy fly pattern showed at the beginning of the video. Can you describe it's pattern please ? Many thanks !
that's just an ugly tie of a #8 Elk Hair Caddis, essentially. :)
double handed rod for the monsters😃
Or 350 grain with 1/4 oz jighead streamers. All things we weren't going to do when filming the visual stuff. Filming isn't fishing 😊
Did you say you were using 3x tippet,, beautiful place lovely fishing
Yes, that's right.
